Recently renovated very substantial and spacious village house in the old part of Montejaque in the midst of the national park. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, large airy sitting room and dining room with French windows overlooking the valley. and roof terrace with wonderful views.

Roof terrace with fabulous views (hence the name!); wood burner for those chilly winter evenings. use of shared pool in the village. Minutes walking distance from shops bars and restaurants,

Comfort combined with rustic charm and a modern twist on decor.

Ideal for 2 families or a group for a long weekend.

Thanks again for our stay in Mirador in July/August.

The photos on the website (and www.holiday-rentals.co.uk) gave us a great idea of the place, but we were even more impressed with the place in the flesh and enjoyed our stay in the house immensely. Montejacque was just the kind of village we were looking for, as was the house, and we did quite a lot of trips and activities in our week there, but could see there being loads more to enjoy if we ever did a repeat visit.

Peaceful family break

We were really pleased to find the house is spacious, ideal for a family or in fact 2 families and a mother in law (which was what we did!). The house wsa freshly decorated, and really clean everywhere.

The village is charming , one of the last parts of old Spain, but it is still within striking distance of the famous Ronda (did a tourist really get blown off that gorge posing for a photo on the railing? Unbelievable but true apparently what an idiot!).

The children had great fun on the walks and playing in the river. They loved the little old streets around the house and trying to find different ways back to the house each trip back from the square. the caves were also a hit.

Montejaque is one of the beautiful white villages of Andalucia. It is located 15kms from Ronda and lies in the Grazalema Natural Park. The village has a long history reaching back to the time of the conquest by the Moors. It is built on a rocky hillside above a valley of sunflower fields, olive groves and vineyards . In this traditional Spanish village you will, like us, soon feel part of rural Andalucian life where it is so easy to relax and enjoy a peaceful time away from the pressures of modern life. As you walk to your house you follow steep, winding streets which thread their way between whitewashed cottages, whilst a few steps further on the edge of the village, sheep and goat bells can be heard as the animals meander about the surrounding hillside. Moreover the 21st century has bought some changes so albeit you can not beat the traditional tapas there are several delightful restaurants, bars, shops even a fishmongers with incredibly cheap fresh fish.
