Very comfortable with everything you need and amazing views.
Despite changeable weather we had an amazing time in Skerries. Coming from Dublin city the sea air in Skerries is a must. The property is right on the sea front and a stroll up the strand leads to the centre of Skerries. It's an experience for us to lie in bed in the morning listening to the waves. Very relaxing. The property is very cosy and spacious with all the modern amenities. Valerie is very welcoming and would definitely recommend.
Thank you Mike for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to meet you and your lovely family.
A room with a view for sure! Location was perfect - thanks Valerie for your hospitality!
A lovely studio apartment situated right on the waters edge - beautiful spot where you can take a nice stroll into the harbour and enjoy lovely sights, sounds, friendliness and best of all food and drinks! Skerries is a beautiful place to unwind and the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular! A definite must!
This property was far more than we bargained for.
Skerries was our last stop on a 14 day adventure through Scotland and Ireland for our 30th anniversary. We were met by Alex, the owners daughter who welcomed us warmly and suggested local establishments for meals and entertainment. All great suggestions. She also suggested that we ditch our car rental and take the train if going into Dublin. Best suggestion ever! The apartment is close enough to walk to the train station, then catch the train to Pearce station in Dublin.
Veronica, the owner, is more than accommodating. We met her the next day. She made sure that we had staples ( milk, butter, eggs, bread, fruit and scones) upon arrival. So appreciated by these weary travelers. This home away from home was the best place to come back to after a busy day of exploring, or to just spend a relaxing day at (which we did also). Right on the water with amazing sunsets on the deck. Some of the friendliest people we have ever met. This place comes highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your lovely review, I really appreciate it, hopefully we will cross paths again sometime in the future,
Very nice loft
We went for an anniversary and had a wonderful time. We stayed for a week and were easily able to commute around Ireland by train.
The owner Valerie and her family were very kind and went out of their way to assist with questions and information. Skerries is beautiful with a store and train station within walking distance. The loft had everything needed to cook and relax after tours.
Serene and restful
Valerie and David are the nicest sort of people. They were very helpful with taking the train into Dublin, getting groceries, and showing us around. The apartment has the most stunning view of the Irish Sea.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, hope we meet again sometime.
Exactly as promised
Apartment was well appointed, everything worked, plenty of light and a great view. Valerie (and Jasper) were on hand to greet us and answer questions, and the jams and scones were a nice touch. Sunset Crag was within walking distance to everything (loved the Stoop your Head pub). Great views over the harbour and North beach.
Easy site for side trips to Drogheda, Newgrange, Malahide. Take the train into Connelly Station in Dublin, much easier than driving, and take the hop on/hop off bus if you’re new to the city.
Loved Skerries and met several very friendly locals.
Thank you so much for your lovely review I really appreciate it, so glad you enjoyed my apartment.
Skerries is a beautiful fishing village and seaside retreat, 20 miles from Dublin City, and approx 20 minutes from Dublin Airport. Our Apartment is situated close to many tourist attractions, Ardgillan Demesne, one of Fingals County Architectural Masterpieces, although referred to as a Castle, the residence at Ardgillan is a large country-style house with castellated embellishments, is 10 minutes by car. The famous Newgrange ancient buriel grounds are only 30 minutes drive .Shops, Restaurants, and Bars, are all within walking distance.
