What makes this villa unique

The stunning view over Isola Bella bay

Guestbook comments from the owner

Five of us stayed at Villa Suk for a week. The views from the terrace, infinity pool, and beach are stunning. The living & dining areas are open and spacious. We ate most dinners in and found the kitchen to be just what we needed. Villa Suk is located perfectly for day trips to Giardini Naxos, Taormina, Isola Bella, Siricusi, and Etna. We shopped for our dinner supplies in G.Naxos, finding delightful produce, meat & fish markets. Francesco, the owner, was very helpful in giving us suggestions for site seeing. We are definitely recommending Villa Suk to friends for their travels next year!

Breathtaking view!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 5 adults that stayed at Villa Suk for one week in October. The villa was well equipped and situated to Taormina. We enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and drinks in the evening from our balcony which overlooked the beautiful Isola Bella. Even after several days the view was breathtaking. Francesco's detailed guide was a welcomed resource which we carried with us throughout our trip. His suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants and getting around Taormina were great! Definitely worth renting this property.

Beautiful location and perfect for the family

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for the last week of October at Villa Suk and it worked out really well for our family of six - 2 parents, 2 older teenagers, a 12-year-old and 4-year-old. One of the bedrooms being a bit separate was perfect for the teenagers. The bathrooms were really good, especially the showers (an important aspect when travelling with teenagers ;-)). The kitchen is well-equipped and there is space for everyone everywhere.

The best things:

Having breakfast in the terrace with the totally amazing view of Isola Bella and the Mediterranean.

The fantastic pool area.

Closeness to the bus station, you can reach eg Taormina centre, Giardini Naxos or Catania Airport very easily.

The information pack provided by the owner tells you more or less everything you need to know, not only about the villa/property but also about Taormina as a tourist location.

The not so good things:

The walk down to Isola Bella beach area (which you will visit every day, often more than once) is not very long but most of the road there has no sidewalk and the traffic is quite intense, making the walk a bit hazardous.

There is no sun in the terrace or pool area in the afternoons or evenings.

The villa is not very close to any good supermarket/grocery store, shopping for groceries needs some planning.

Great for a group

  • 5 of 5

This property is excellent for a group of adults and also a family. The private beach is perfect (until about 2 when it loses the sun). Francesco the owner is very helpful. The rooms are all very spacious and comfortable. We cooked in the kitchen twice. The place is in good condition and the garden is good to sit in to have a drink or read a book. Good location - we were a little disappointed with the Taormina beach area although Isola Bella is nice and fun to kayak around. Overall well worth a trip.

Fantastic and Glorious Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled with Villa Suk. It provided the perfect holiday for our family of two adults and two children. The views, the locale, the complex with the elevator straight down to the clearest water you can imagine, and the infinity pool were all to die for. The villa was spacious, clean, and a relaxing place to be. We hope to be back again. We were all sad to leave after a week. Francesco was lovely to deal with and provided a comprehensive info package for us including restaurants, sightseeing tips, etc. Amazing holiday!

Great Location and excellent amenities

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly recommend Villa Suk to anyone who is looking for a superb location with great facilities including an excellent shared pool and good access to the sea via a lift (or stairs) and a well maintained beach platform. Access to Taormina is good either via the funicular which is a 10 minute walk away or by car with plentiful paid parking on the edge of the old town.

The outdoor terrace is superb with excellent lounging and dining

facilities with unsurpassed views over Isola Bella. Dining here each

night as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our stay. Villa Suk is an excellent base for touring this part of Sicily with good access to the A18 about 5 minutes away. The villa itself has all necessary cooking equipment but it is not the most luxurious of places, but nevertheless very comfortable. The owner Francesco was most helpful and attentive from our first contact. Our only one minor problem was attended to immediately with regular updates on its resolution. All in all it is a great choice.

Perfetto!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful 2 weeks we all had in Sicily! The accommodations were perfect for our needs and the view and location could not have been better. It was so lovely to awake to the sunrise each morning and return to the condominium at the end of each day. I know that we will all look back on our stay with great fondness.

Francesco was amazingly helpful. We met him our second day at Villa Suk and he made a number of helpful recommendations regarding restaurants and UNESCO and other sites to visit. He recommended that we go to Noto and Siracusa - both truly amazing.

We also engaged a private guide to go wine tasting - fabulous! We rented a car for 1 week and were able to travel to mount Etna, Castel Mola, Forze d'Agro, Savoca and Alcantara Gorge.

The Internet access at the condominium never worked but it was nice to finally have a break!

We drove to a large market one Sunday and purchased some of my favorite foods. We had a great time that afternoon just relaxing, drinking wine and cooking staples from my childhood in New York that we cannot get in California!

It was especially nice to meet Francesco, since we rarely meet the property owner when we travel and it really personalizes the stay so much more.

Thank you again for opening your home to us - it made the trip extra special.

If you can tear yourself away from the peace of the villa, a couple of miles away is the town of Taormina, the Pearl of the Mediterranean, easily reachable with the help of a cable car located 15 minutes walk away. Centre of attraction is the splendid Greco-Roman amphitheatre, spectacularly set with panoramic views across the beautiful blue bay with Mount Etna brooding in the background. Beautifully restored mediaeval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with designer boutiques, romantic candlelit bars and sparkling restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot. Taormina is ideally located to easily reach most parts of Sicily including Mount Etna volcano, the Aeolian Islands, the UNESCO-protected baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa and Noto, the medieval village of Castelmola, Siracusa and its historical centre Ortigia, Villa Romana with its mosaics, Agrigento with its Greek temples… thousands of years of history in one island!

Other Activities: The spectacular 18-hole “Il Picciolo Golf Club' is 30km away from the property. Skiing on the impressive slopes of Mount Etna volcano (45mins drive).

Golf: The “Picciolo Golf Club' is 30km away from the property and offers the opportunity to play golf in a spectacular location (the slopes of Mount Etna volcano) without the crowds, slow play and high green fees that are typical of many of the more established golfing destinations elsewhere in Europe. With breathtaking and scenic views for all 18 holes, set among among lava flows, oaks, hazels and vineyards, Il Picciolo is the oldest course in Sicily and has played host to a number of international tournaments, including Ladies’ European Tour events.

Notes:
The villa is a unique building of its kind, with a breathtaking charm which stands out from its idyllic setting on a high rocky cliff. The beautiful private garden offers great al fresco dining options, sunlit breakfast spots and peaceful reading corners. The views are simply spectacular: the vastness of the blue sea and Isola Bella bay, an unforgettable scenery. The complex saltwater pool is dramatically located on the cliff edge with breathtaking views of Isola Bella bay. From inside the pool (open mid-May to mid-October), one really has the sensation of hanging directly above the sea. An elevator takes you through 50m of solid rock to the spectacular rocky shore where you can sunbath or swim in the emerald blue-green waters, while the crystal clear waters of the surrounding grottoes provide ideal conditions for snorkeling and scuba diving. Although the private beach and pool can get quite busy in July and August, they remain extremely quiet during other periods.
