Why Julie Coplon chose St Helena
I had been looking and looking and looking for a house in downtown St. Helena, with a huge garden, all-day sunshine and within a few blocks of the downtown area. This house was so charming, with a great design, and extremely well constructed. It was truly "coup de foudre" (love at first sight)!
What makes this House unique
Your wake-up Vision from the Master Bedroom is amazing; the flowers and landscaped garden rooms are over-the-top fabulous. The entire property treats the eye and the heart, inside and out. The furnishings reflect years of our travel and love of art and beauty; it feels so warm and inviting.
I've had lung cancer, so absolutely NO smoking.
One small dog with $200 pet fee. Sorry, no cats.

St. Helena Napa Valley
Lovely property in town with a garden full of little nooks and lots of out door seating. Modern decor, lots of light and easy to use kitchen.
Take yourself to “Enchanted April”, the scene where our disoriented and exhausted heroine, unsure whether her attempted escape from a dull and dismal March was a horrid mistake, awakens in a dark and unfamiliar bedroom with strands of brilliant morning sunshine streaming through slight cracks in the shutters on the French doors to the outside. She opens the shutters and steps out to a scene so lovely it takes her breath away. This was my moment here on the first morning. I had booked this house more than a year in advance as a retirement celebration (last day 03/31/19) for the entire month of April. My dear husband was at best skeptical, at worst resentful of being away from his home for as long as a month. This garden worked its magic on both of us over the course of thirty days in many small quiet ways. I found myself buying nail polish for the first time in about twenty years because I finally actually had unbitten nails to use it on. My husband slept— ALL NIGHT. Our mornings consisted of strolls to buy Bouchon Bakery bread and have cappuccino and English muffins at Model Bakery. The chef in me delighted in the kitchen with that amazing Wolfe stove. The roses bloomed everywhere all month long, becoming more and more beautiful as the days progressed. The garden? I hope the neighbors were not strictly country music lovers because we surrounded ourselves with our classical and operatic favorites every day. The place even provided a cat who visited several times daily to mooch whatever she could. We made it worth her while. I have just rebooked for another April.
Wow!!! That's just the way I feel when I'm there! Thank you for sharing....
We Couldn't have found a better house!
This house was perfect in every way! We rented for the month of March and were so thrilled to be able to walk to dinner and shopping. It is in the perfect location. The home has everything you need and is VERY comfortable. The best part is the backyard!
The owner was so attentive and made herself available if we needed her.
We won't hesitate to rent this house again! A real GEM!
Wow! Thank you for the beautiful review. You said it so well.
Y'all come back now!
Spacious, clean and comfortable in California wine country
This house is very comfortable and well maintained. We were there during an exceptionally rainy period we didn't expect. The house was a warm retreat and we took advantage of the kitchen to prepare some wonderful meals and relax when the weather kept us inside. We have friends and family in the area who were happy to join us for meals or an overnight stay in the second bedroom. Options for dining and enjoying the local wines are plentiful. Be sure to visit the olive oil company nearby.
The pictures you see on the listing are very accurate and represent what we found when we arrived. The house was exceptionally clean and feels very luxurious. The foliage in the yard was bare in January while we were there but still beautiful and a nice place to relax when the days were warm and sunny. The gardeners visited weekly. Our dog was with us and the back yard is fully fenced and gave her plenty of room to explore.
Julie was very easy to work with and kept in touch to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We would gladly stay again. Highly recommended.
Best of the best
Having stayed in a few different properties in the lovely town of St Helena I can say that this property is fabulous in so many ways. The location is great because you can walk anywhere you would want to. Also, it is 2 minutes away from one of the most fascinating Italian markets outside of Italy. We made many wonderful meals in the beautiful kitchen and enjoyed them in the back yard which is like a secluded park. Loved every minute.
Sherri and Linda,
I am thrilled that you had a fabulous experience. I've tried to make it as magical as I feel it to be, so thank you so much for your great review!!
Perfect home in a perfect setting. We lived like the locals and loved EVERY minute!
Incredible home in a great location! Julie was exceptional to work with and we felt right at home. This is one of the best rentals we have enjoyed through VRBO! We hope to return again next year for the month of October. Every detail was perfect (including the friendly kitty that visited the gorgeous yard everyday). Flawless!!!
I am thrilled that you had a great time. Hope to see you next year! Will let you know as soon as I hear. And thank you for being such great guests.
