Lovely house in a great location
We had a wonderful stay here. The house was just right for our family of four, was well equipped and was nice and clean. The location was fabulous... A short walk from a lovely beach and a town centre that had everything we needed in terms of local produce and restaurants. The walled garden is very tranquil and peaceful. We had a fantastic time.
Perfection - Home from Home
We stayed here in early July, a family of 5 with 3 boys. It was fantastic. Every need was catered for in the house and surrounding areas. The house was perfectly located within 5 mins walk from the beach and also 5 mins walk from a Super U - perfect for a young family. The facilities in the house were great, lovely bright kitchen diner living room, with lots of space. The TV went down a treat with the small ones which gave them great "down time". The house was within walking distance to the little town and port and the lovely walks around both. It was also well positioned for exploring the surrounding areas.
I would have no problem recommending this property to anyone. We had a very enjoyable stay.
A little piece of heaven
We arrived on Saturday 25th June and when we opened the door we were absolutely delighted with the bungalow. It has everything you could need for a family holiday. It was extremely clean and well maintained. A well equipped kitchen and immaculate walled garden which isn't overlooked by anyone. The property is on a gated site, but there are only 2 or 3 other properties. A five minute stroll to a clean sandy beach which has life guards. A five minute stroll to a very well equipped supermarket or stroll through the village to the port or you can stroll along the cliff tops. We didn't have to use the car all the time we were there. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation/location to anyone.
Home from Home
My wife and I actually stayed in this house starting on the 19th of Sept,just couldn't get the date in the review box to change from October! We had a fantastic time in Meschers staying in this lovely house. We love this part of France and actually stayed in this property last year and I think our last review is still posted, it's simply home from home,quiet and peaceful lots of interesting places to visit within easy driving distance. Hopefully we will have the chance to visit again.

We have had a great holiday, the bungalow is just as described fairly private and secure, simple but well appointed, it's modern and exceptionally clean and feels more of a home than a rental property. The beach is very easy to get to on foot from the house in less than 10 minuets, which I did on a few evenings just to see the Sunset over the sea which was wonderful . We had a car with us making it easy to get around. Plenty to see and do and would agree with most of what's be said in the other reviews hence giving it a 5 out of 5 star rating. The owner is very helpful and responds to emails quickly and runs things very efficiently, we didn't meet her but her communication was very friendly, coming across as a very genuine person. The house keeper greeted us on arrival , she is such a nice person, we had a bit of a chat and she left her number with us in case we had any problems. A perfect holiday. Viv.

There is a daily market in the summer with stalls of fresh fruit and vegetables, wonderful sea food, and much more. The port, with many restaurants and cafes, is also only a short walk away. The towns of St Geoges De Didionne and Royan with their famous beaches are both within 3 miles. Local buses are available. The zoo at La Palmyre, golf and 'la cote savage' (wild coast) are within half an hour's drive. Visit the distilleries at Cognac, the old towns of La Rochelle and Romanesque Saintes, the Islands of Oleron & ILe de Re and much more.
