This is a first floor apartment that is well kept, spotlessly clean and has all the facilities for a short term holiday or even a longer stay for businessmen or tradesmen. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 is en-suite), free high-speed wifi, flat screen TVs in every room and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a main bedroom with a double bed and a set of bunks, a twin room, a single room and a luxurious sofa bed for 2 in the lounge. Bed linen and towels are supplied.

The apartment is situated centrally to everywhere in Liverpool which is the biggest tourist attraction (outside London) in the UK. With 2 cathedrals, (The Anglican cathedral is the biggest in Europe), the largest group of Grade I listed buildings in the UK (including London), The Albert Dock which sees 4 million visitors per year, and we have more museums and art galleries than any other city. More pubs than the most ardent partygoers will get to in a month and no end of clubs, cabaret and also three major theatres (The Liverpool Empire is the biggest theatre in Europe) Liverpool is a must for culture, partying, the adventurous and the arty. Ferry across the Mersey, take a Beatles tour, visit the secret tunnels that lie beneath the just go shopping. You won't run out of things to do.

About Jim Hourihan

I was born in a slum district of Liverpool in 1954 and during my earlier years had a very strong (barely decipherable) Liverpool accent. I was a streetwise urchin but our parents (Mum still alive and going strong at 85) were decent people and brought us up with good manners and with a strong sense of right and wrong. Coping with just an outside toilet, no bathroom and only 2 usable bedrooms between 7 of us, we somehow managed with cold running water. Fortunately at eleven years old I passed examinations and gained entrance to a great school in Liverpool that had previously been the springboard for a Nobel prizewinner, very many academics and businessmen that went on to gain Knighthoods and some high profile celebrities including George Harrison, and Paul McCartney to but two. I went into business in 1982 and have interest in retailing and properties. Life is very different from when I was a kid but then life itself has changed for everyone. I feel very lucky having been brought up in a rapidly changing world and still marvel at the speed of scientific development. My interests are every type of science, languages, writing, building design and in fact (virtually) anything academic.

Why Jim Hourihan chose Liverpool

I bought this property because, even though it was almost derelict, I realised the potential and the opportunities it offered my business and my family. As it happenend I was completely wrong and several years after buying it and investing a considerable amount to revive it , I decided to change its use. Five years ago I knew nothing about tourism but I knew enough about my hometown to realise it is just the greatest city in the UK to visit. My knowledge and love of Liverpool has been the driving force for my enthusiasm. This time I was right and I love sharing my city with tourists from every corner of the world.

What makes this apartment unique

I love the location of my apartments because they are positioned so perfectly for, not just Liverpool and its incredible architecture, culture, theatres, museums and nightlife but for the entire Northwest of England and North Wales from the Lake District through Blackpool into Manchester across to Chester and into the Snowdonia mountain range.

Had a fab time staying here, julie is lovely and helps with anything you could possibly need. It's right next to a taxi rank so that's handy for getting in to liverpool. The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we could need for our stay. Would highly recommend
