Large apartment in loft/artist's studio style. 50sq.m 3 m high ceiling, vaulted bedroom and well equipped bathroom. The large living room is very bright thanks to an exceptional bay-window. At night, you get to choose: lounge atmosphere with lowlight fittings or bright lighting with built in spots. The fitted kitchen allows you to spend cosy evenings and Normand breakfasts. However, do not forget that you are in the heart of Honfleur, a town of artists, but as well of restaurant owners. So feel free to try one, especially as you can get there on foot. Even if the loft enjoys a great location in the centre of the city, it is very quiet, because it is set back from the road. All the pros of the city centre, without the cons. You and you personal belongings are in full safety. To access the apartment, you need to pass through a lovely gate with a digital entry lock. To unload your luggage, you can stop the car in the courtyard. Afterwards you can park it in the car park opposite the house (€ 3/day). If you decide to come without car, we can pick you up from the train stations of Deauville, Lisieux, Le Havre or the airport of Deauville Saint Gatien. And of course, we will take you back. If you are a golfer, you can go for a 'Calvados Tour'. The golf courses of Deauville, Saint Gatien and Saint Julien are 10 minutes by car. If you are not a professional golfer, but you would like to try, we can arrange a half-day or more, to sample the joy of this sport in the greenery of Normandy. Last thing, the loft is an apartment located in a manor that we have fully renovated. We have put our love and energy in this house, so that our yearly tenants or holidays visitors feel good here. This is why we have put a pompous plate of our small building, welcoming you to 'Résidence Sainte Victoire', as this project has been a VICTORY for the great JOY of all.

We live in Saint Gatien des Bois, small village located in a golden triangle, as it is 8 km from Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur and Pont-L'Evêque. Claire works in marketing, Antoine works in consultancy and their child Enzo is a great golfer. In January 2012, this small team has decided to meet the challenge of giving a soul to a shipowner's house in Honfleur. 9 months later, we have created an apartment building of 8 apartments that we called: Résidence SAINTE VICTOIRE.

We decided to let one of the 8 apartments for seasonal rental in order to share our love for Honfleur with visitors for a weekend or more.

Our stay at Antoine's and Claire's apartment was quite pleasant. It is situated on one of the main streets into Honfleur, but is situated on the property in such a way as to be perfectly quiet, in spite of having a view of the sidewalk and passers-by. The apartment is very well-appointed, with all the cooking and serving ware one would want. It was nice to come home after a day of exploring and have a glass of wine and some small snack before venturing out for a terrific dinner close by. The seating areas and bed are very comfortable, the bathroom outfitted with brand new fixtures and washer/dryer. We were able to park for free about 150 yards down the street for free and felt very safe leaving the car there as well as walking to and for. This was a very pleasant place to stay and we would return without question!
We booked this apartment long ago for April 17 but Eurostar from London cancelled trains and we were not able to arrive until April 18. We were not impressed that the owners still charged us for the night when we did not stay. The apartment is undoubtedly clean and well appointed but parking is a nightmare. You have to park a long way away, pay each day, and keep moving your car. The owners could have made our stay much more pleasant by providing a handbook in the apartment, with maps and details such as where the nearest supermarket is, information on local transport and attractions, how to dispose of rubbish, etc. Handbooks like this have been available in other apartments we've booked in Europe. Next time in Honfleur, I would look for somewhere else to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay in Claire and Antoine's apartment in Honfleur. The property was spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. We took advantage of the nearby excellent restaurants so did not make much use of the very good cooking facilities in the apartment. The weather was a little cool for some of our stay and it might be helpful to have instructions on how to set the timers on the heaters to add to the overall comfort
