Les Manades is a newly built secure apartment situated in the centre of Aigues Mortes overlooking the canal. The medieval castle and town centre can be viewed from the apartment balcony. It is a gated development with communal pool and underground car parking and lift. The amazing fortified town of Aigues Mortes lies just a 1 min walk from the residence. Pass through the magnificent ramparts to find a maze of street markets, traditional restaurants, picturesque squares, café bars and all shops. Superb Mediterranean beaches and lively resorts within minutes. Ideal family holiday destination. The apartment is also a very attractive proposition outside of the high season - the mild climate is excellent for all-year round golf holidays! .

Beaches: Le Grau du Roi: The closest beach at 5km and where the Canal du Rhone meets the Mediterranean. Both sides of the canal feature sumptuous restaurants serving seafood straight from the fishing boats that line the canal every evening following the day at sea. It is a bustling holiday town and very popular at both day and night. E'spiguette is another unspoilt beach which 5km away from L Grau du Roi. Le Palvas is a beach between Le Grande Motte and Montpellier, you can hire sun beds here plus have lunch in one of the many restaurants along this beach.

Yaghting Paradise: Visit the spectacular Port Camargue with its magnificent marina with some of the finest boats on the Mediterranean. The port area has a lavish casino, beautiful hotels and superb sandy beaches. All within 10 minutes drive.

Other Activities: One of the most beautiful unspoilt spots in the South of France bordering Provence and the Camargue. This historical location is close to stunning Mediterranean beaches and resorts. Nearby is the Camargue National Park which is famous for its wildlife - white horses, black bulls and pink flamingos. Within an easy drive there is access to Roman Amphitheatres at Arles and Nîmes and further away are the Ardeche Gorges.

The Languedoc-Roussillon is one of the most fascinating areas of Europe, bordering the Mediterranean Sea to the east and the Pyrenees Mountains to the south. It benefits from an exceptional climate (280 - 300 sunny days per year) and has an unusually rich wildlife, a spectacular coast and surprising history.

Caves/Chateau's: Drink some of the excellent regional wines in France, such as Chateau Neuf du Pape. You can see the medieval history of Europe in Avignon at the palace of the Popes, experience Cathar country and the hill villages or wander the seaside towns of Sete, Agde or the Camague.

Canal side apartment

We have just returned from this charming apartment overlooking the canal, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was immaculately clean, and with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and double bedroom and bathroom downstairs, ideal for a family or couples. The manager responded quickly to messages when we had a little trouble with an over filling loo, and met us at the start and end of our month at the time arranged. The shared pool was a bonus, and we often had it almost to ourselves. Only ten minutes to the beach, we spent most days in Le Grau du Roi, and did very little sight seeing! It was so hot! However we know the area well and it really has something for everyone, from big cities to fun fairs. Restaurants around Aigues Mortes need exploring for yourselves, but local supermarkets and markets ensure plenty of ingredients for those who prefer to cook in the well equipped kitchen. I certainly would recommend this property.

My French Dream

Having spent many years travelling France, i was looking for a holiday that was relaxing but yet entertaining. I found the apartment above suited my needs and I plan to return in the near future. Thanks for all the advice. Ciaran

Myself and a few ladies stayed in this property for 4 days. we wanted to relax and have fun and needed convenience of location also.

I was amazed at how authentic French the property was, I was expecting more of a holiday resort type of property. I loved the view, the fact that we could walk to all restaurants, pubs and shops.

The Apartment had all facilities we needed, very well maintained, extremely clean.

I would highly recomm end to family and Friends. It is very family orientated. I will return for a family holiday definetly.

It is also suitable for a couple or a group of girls for girlie weekend, as plenty of spa s in the local area.

Plenty of golf clubs around, so can get rid of the husband and his friends for a few days also.

Highly recommended.

Immer wieder zufrieden ....

An alle Interessenten

Habe die Wohnung inzwischen mehrfach genutzt und werde es auch gerne immer wieder tun.

Die Lage direkt am Kanal, mit Blick auf die Stadtmauer ist für jeden Zweck ideal.

Egal ob man nur einige Tage ausspannen will, abends beim Grillen auf dem Balkon gerne die beleuchtete Stadtmauer als Kulisse genießen will oder morgens beim Frühstück die Baguette-Reste an die Enten im Kanal verfüttert.... man fühlt sich immer wie zuhause.

Der Weg zum Wochenmarkt, dem Bäcker oder auch der Weg in die Altstadt -- alles in Sichtweite und innerhalb 5 Minuten zu Fuss.

Die Aufteilung der Wohnung hat uns immer gut gefallen. Ob in den Ferein mit den Kids, im Herbst mit den Jungs beim Männerurlaub oder auch mal alleine nur zum Ausspannen .. Alles ist möglich.

3 Schlafzimmer - ausreichend für individuelles. 2 Bäder und ein getrenntes WC auch bei mehreren die gleichzeitig fertig werden wollen.

Voll ausgestattete Küche auch für das "Gala-Dinner" selbst gekocht - mit Sachen vom Wochenmarkt...

Sogar die Waschmaschine nimmt Rücksicht - superleise inkl. Trockenfunktion - für mich auch die Möglichkeit nachts die Klamotten schnell mal wieder frisch zu machen .. Das schont das Kofferraum-Volumen .. Mehr Platz für Wein auf dem Heimweg ...

Aer Lingus are now flying to Montpellier from May 2016 to September 2016

Nearest Airports: Montpellier (18km), Nîmes (Garonnes) (25km), Marseilles (85km), Beziers (95km), Carcasonne (153km).

Hire Car: The most cost effective way is to book via Ryanair/Easyjet/Air France when booking flights to collect and drop hire car at the appropriate airport.

By car: Via Eurotunnel and then drive - 2 drivers can share and make the journey in one day. Or break the journey by staying at Dijon, for example. Also consider motor rail from Calais to Nantes.

Golf: Golf Enthusiasts: Within 10 minutes drive of La Flamant Rose, 18 hole championship golf course at La Grand Motte. A fantastic test for any golfer with three tee positional markers, the whites for the big hitters (but you must be straight). Plenty of water fast greens and a wonderful index 1 par 5. Very reasonable green fees and clubs can be hired at the clubhouse.
