Beautiful house, very central

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely 5 days in this great house, very clean, had everything we needed there. Great heating for chilly nights. 2 minute walk to centre of beautiful Hebden Bridge. Beds were very comfortable, good WiFi. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice house but not sure re street. Police presence when we arrived and concerning house opposite.

  • 3 of 5

The property is nice but in need of some decorations upkeep. Paint marked in walls; kitchen blind doesn’t work; curtain hook broken just basics that were not right. I could list more. The street seems run down so first impression not great. A shame really. Oh and we couldn’t get sky to work at all.

Owner's Response: Hi Firstly thankyou for your support and we do value your feedback .. Our family have been resident in the house since 1937.. I can assure you that the area is very safe and we blessed and proud to be part of a very tight knit community. I have no direct knowledge the matter you are referring to, but the people in our immediate area are all "good folk". The last family member that occupied the house was assisted and helped by neighbours in her twilight years, the door was always left unlocked so people could just pop in and shower her with kindness and affection. Truly a community that we are proud to be associated with. Certainly, we will review the additional matters you have raised … we have just had a family in with small children in the house for a 5 months period, so we may have missed some issues. be assured they will be addressed. The 55” TV is new top of the line new 6 months ago, and is able to receive Freeview (21 channels according to their website) . Thanks again for your support and we trust the issues did not detract from a nice great visit to Hebden Bridge. Regards Paul

Perfect place in Hebden Bridge!

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our stay in Hebden Bridge. The location couldn't have been better. It had 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, which was perfect for our family. It was very spacious. The only thing it doesn't have is a dining room table, but that didn't bother us at all since we ate out for most meals. The owners were so helpful and super friendly. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family traveling to Hebden Bridge and we look forward to staying again!

Owner's Response: Thank you to Landon and his family for staying at Calderdale Terraces in the center of Hebden Bridge, and we are pleased that the house added to a great visit to great community. The dining room table situation is a challenge in a smaller property. and we are looking for a better a solution, as you are aware there are many many places to eat within walking distance of the property and we are pleased to note that yoiu managed to find just some of them during your stay !!! We hope to see you again. Paul, Janice & Family.

6 Sackville Street,Calderdale Terraces

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't fault this cottage at all one of the best self catering properties we have ever stayed in. Well equipped fitted kitchen, our en-suite bathroom was excellent and the double bed was extremely comfy. Ideally situated for pubs and restaurants. We can definitely recommened Ayia Sophia Greek/Mediterranean restaurant and Rendezvous Bistro as places to eat. We would both definitely stay at this cottage and in this area again.

Small, warm, house in quiet street.

  • 3 of 5

The pictures of the house are very deceptive as the rooms, that is, the kitchen and lounge are much smaller than shown. The dining table is very small and has to be in the lounge with bar stools to sit on which was very ackward. We only used it for our breakfast , it would have been difficult to eat a big meal there. The house was warm, especially as we were there during some cold weather. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine but some new pillows would be beneficial as they were uncomfortable. The house was clean but the fridge had not been cleaned. It was a good location to visit very interesting places.

Owner's Response: Hi Dianne ... Thank you for staying with us ... and we are pleased that you found the house warm and cozy and that you enjoyed Hebden Bridge that has just been voted the Best Small Market Town in the Great British High Street!! We are sorry that the size of the house did not meet with your expectations, and we understand your point concerning dining room facilities, but the size of the house had bearing on our initial decision, we are looking for a better solution to improve this aspect of the house. The other items you have mentioned have been noted and we will resolve them and we are grateful for you bringing these to our attention and we will address them in the immediate future. Thankyou for your comments.
