Enjoy the central location of the Durant Condominium which is 3 minutes walking distance from the Little Nell, the St. Regis, the Ajax Gondola, and the free skier shuttle with transportation to Buttermilk, Snowmass, and Highlands. The Durant is in the heart of Aspen, tucked into Ajax mountain just across from Fashing Haus and the Hyatt.
The unit was renovated in 2006 using luxury finishes (slate/granite), appliances (Subzero), and fixtures (Grohe, Toto). The master bedroom includes a king size bed and en suite bath with double size shower. The two guest bedrooms include queen size beds and share a hall access bathroom with double sized shower. All bedrooms are fitted with Italian/European fine linens and luxurious down pillows (hypo allergenic pillows available upon advance request). 2012 Westin Heavenly Beds in Master King and Queen1 bedroom.
4 Flat Screen TV's in unit (3 DVD players): Living/Master/Queen bedrooms. Over 140+ cable channels (ESPN) and free WiFi access.
Unit includes an outdoor ski locker near front door. Flexible cleaning service available (daily - weekly). Unit comes with permit for onsite (uncovered) parking.
After years of searching for the perfect Aspen getaway, I bought at the Durant because it is the heart of Aspen, but the mountain adjacent location combined with floor to ceiling glass windows brings the outdoors inside.
The property is ski in/out to Aspen mountain; it is the heart of town (on the two blocks between the St. Regis and The Little Nell, for those who like access to world class hotels) yet incredibly private. The complex is located on a street which ends on the mountain, so there is no thru traffic; this ensures both quiet, privacy, and more natural setting.
From the minute I enquired about the property 6 months before our stay Monique was amazing. Any questions prior to the trip were promptly answered and she was patient as I was trying to organize family from Australia. Arriving and finding the place was super easy with her instructions.
The place was exactly as described. It is very well maintained and Monique has ensured that anything you could possibly need in a property for a ski trip is available. The thought and details that she has given to the amenities made the stay so enjoyable that it feel like we were at our own home.
We had no issues while we stayed- Monique happily re-scheduled cleaning to suit our plans and was always on hand to answer any questions we had.
The place is spacious and tidy.
The location is perfect. One block away from transport, the Silver Gondola and restaurants and bars. It is pretty quiet on the street which gives it a tucked away feel yet you are right in the middle of it.
I would highly recommend the property and Monique. Thanks again for making our family trip just incredible!!!
We enjoyed this rental. We had 7 people at the unit which worked for us since it was all family. Parking worked out because it was a quiet time of the year but if you have multiple cars you may need to arrange for additional parking permits.
1. Great view out the window and we found the unit was well supplied with kitchen and other travel needs (blow dryer, soaps and towels).
2. We did not do a lot of cooking but there was plenty of implements, spices, coffee, etc. for what we needed.
3. The owner was very helpful and responded very quickly to questions.
4. The projects hot tub is getting a little dated and was a little hot to get into but still a nice feature.
5. Very convenient to town and walking distance of restaurants and other ski resort activities
Our stay at Monique's condo was perfect! Location is less than five minute walk to shopping, parks and dining (and the gondola if staying during season). Grocery store is just a few blocks away. Condo was nicely appointed (great for meals "at home"), accessed easily and clean. Although not recently renovated as with the exterior, the interior was well maintained. Wall of windows in the living/dining area was awesome - great views and airflow when opened. Monique was a pleasure to work with and super responsive. My family and I would definitely stay again.
The condo is in a super location and just minutes away from the best of Aspen. It is well furnished and very comfortable. Monica was great and very responsive to our questions. I would highly recommend the property.
Excellent condo, great location, has everything you need and then some. Gorgeous glass window overlooking mountains. Owner was very attentive and receptive to any needs or concerns. Had a lovely stay and look forward to coming again!
We spent a week in this condo and it was the best decision we could have made. It's walking distance to everything, plus it has gorgeous mountain views outside every window. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was clean and well-stocked. The owner is fabulous. She sent us magazines about Aspen a few months before our stay. She also set up the cleaning service and the laundry, which were both included in the rate. If we needed anything, she was ready and willing to help. It's the perfect place to stay in Aspen and we hope to stay here again next year.
The Durant is ski in/out, with easy access to local hiking trails (Ajax, Ute, Smuggler) and public transport to the Maroon Bells, the Aspen Club, and the Aspen Rec Center. The Durant is between the St Regis and the Lttle Nell and most restaurants and stores are within a 5 minute walk.
