Palazzo Muazzo is situated in one of the oldest sestiere of Venice, Castello. A 15 min stroll to Sam Marco . The property situated off the popular Campo of San Giovanni and Paolo and is conveniently located between the public transport stops of Ospedale and San Zaccaria.
Host Jane was cordial, helpful, and gracious. The place was as advertised with impressive art, state of the art fixtures and furnishings. Its location in the Castello is surpassingly close to so many of the standard attractions and we found a host of other things in the immediate area that were worthy of visits too. The apartment has air-conditioning that works very well and we were grateful for that during a heat wave. Would definitely return.
We spent 3 nights at the Muazzo Palace and this was a great place! The place was better than the photos. The location was very convenient. If we can go again this is where we would want to stay. We stayed in other homeaway places in Rome and Florence, but this was the best.
The Muazzo Palace is an absolute gem centrally located within walking distance of all the highlights of Venice. The place is beautiful and stocked with everything needed for a stay. Our host Jane, was more than helpful and a delight to work with. Everything from booking to our departure was flawless. We look forward to our next stay!!!
This home, (palace) is incredibly beautiful down to very single detail. I cannot begin to describe how upscale and gorgeous it is in person. Our family of four stayed there over Easter weekend and we were pinching ourselves. It is in a quiet area where locals reside which was a nice break from the crowds,, however also it was easier to get lost. It was worth it for the experience of being in such an amazing home. There was a chefs kitchen, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The bathroom in the master was a piece of art in of itself. The living room and dining room were lovely places to enjoy family time. We noted to ourselves this would also be a perfect place for extended family or a few couples because there was plenty of room. There are tv's in each bedroom however they are in Italian except for a couple of news channels. The only down side to this apartment was the beds were extremely hard (like sheet rock). I moved out of the master to the far guest bed because it was the least hard. Of course this is a personal preference and it may have been fine for someone who doesn't mind this kind of bed. The manager was lovely, and had stocked the fridge with a bottle of Prosecco and food for breakfast--as a welcome gift. She walked us to the nearest restaurant for dinner. I did have to contact her multiple times about different things and she was responsive. Some "cons" were that I wasn't able to use the coffee maker because there were no filters (apparently those are only sold at home goods stores) and she left town right after seeing us off. Also, the tv's, which we were told had a button to change to Engkish, never panned out. The washer and dryer were extremely slow as the dryer took two hours for a small size and even then the clothes were damp. It may just need repair. Since the manager was out of town for the weekend, these kinds of issues were not able to be worked out, although she did try. I suggest it would be good to have the owner or a substitute manager who is local available when tenants come. (Coffee filters etc.) when she leaves town. BUT, she was generous and kind, and the apartment itself was magnificent. I would feel privileged to come back again.
Elegant and refined. I don't think I could find anywhere better to stay in Venice. Thank you for lending me such an amazing apartment. The location is also perfect.
Muazzo Palace is a great villa in Venice. Jane C. was very accommodating and helpful. Large size, modern conveniences and incredible chandeliers. Best feature is the location away from the crowds of St. Marks and the Grand Canal. Lovely neighborhood close to grocery store, restaurants and other conveniences. An actual Italian residential neighborhood including many school aged children. Would rent again.
The Property is located at ponte Muazzo Castello just off the vibrant Campo San Giovanni and Paolo. There is a water gate for an easy private taxi arrival. The closest Boat Stops are Ospedale or San Zaccharia
