About Martha Howard, Gulf Coast Keyholders and Exit Realty, Gulf Shores
New owners George and Trudi bought this cottage with an eye to retire here in a few years. Until then they want to share it with others who want to get away for some quiet time near the water. As the "parents" of fuzzy four legged "children" hey know just how hard it can be to find a pet friendly place to spend a vacation.

Why Martha Howard, Gulf Coast Keyholders and Exit Realty, Gulf Shores chose Gulf Shores
Trudi and George have a daughter, son-law-and beautiful grandchildren in Gulf Shores and they love to visit as often as possible. As for the home, there is not a more beautiful spot on the bay - the view, the old oaks with Spanish moss hanging from their limbs, the gentle lap of the water, the spacious yard, the quiet setting and peaceful surroundings simply spoke of home. The large yard and distance from the busy highway also made this home a perfect spot for children and pets.
What makes this Cottage unique
This property offers a guest a different view of Gulf Shores. Quiet and secluded under old oaks this home is far away from the vacation rental crowd. Guests experience what it is like to live along the bay on the island's Ft Morgan peninsula. Sunsets are unparalleled from the pier it shares with its two neighbors. For those who want to play in the Gulf waters the beach at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is almost across the street. A two minute drive will take you to its pristine shore where you can swim, fish, walk, shell and bask in the rays. Located about nine miles from town it is a quick trip to the center of the action, shops, restaurants, and attractions if you can tear yourself away from the front porch.

Quiet and good fishing from the dock
We have stayed here once before and we love the house and being able to fish from the dock on Mobile Bay. You can also wade in the water and fish. Perfect if you need a quiet, relaxing mini vacation or even a long one. Will definitely come back. Martha is the best and sweetest manager you will ever find. We book all our houses through her.
Nice Vacation House
Loved our trip. Kids caught a stingray on the pier and the fenced in yard was great for our dog.
Nice open space inside!
Nice open space inside. Large shower.
We used the screened in porch a lot because of rain.
Thanks for sharing with us and our pooch.
Wonderful spot on the bay, a perfect way to end your day after being at the beach
This place is super quiet , clean and really beautiful. The cottage is roomy, with big windows and comfy living room. The kitchen is spacious and beds comfy. It’s very close to a dog friendly beach and the small town of MorganTown is such a delight after the hustle bustle of Gulf Shores .
Bay Leave Cottage - Clean, comfortable, quiet, peaceful, and complete.
We wanted/needed peace, quiet, solitude, and no stress. That's exactly what we got during our stay. The cottage provided all that we needed. It had the perfect beach cottage décor and feel with all the necessary amenities for our week long stay. The range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, and coffee pot gave us all the comforts of home. The screened in porch was the ideal spot for morning coffee and evening wind down time and for planning the next day. We took advantage of the outdoor grill. We were delighted to have a fishing pole to use morning and evenings to try our hand at pier fishing. The pier was truly a welcome bonus to the whole package. We watched sunrises/sunsets and even saw dolphins one evening. We were able to satisfy our vacation bucket list with visits to attractions that were all within 30 minutes driving time. This included eating at several local seafood places, taking a trip to Dauphin Island via the ferry, visiting Ft. Morgan, and walking the beach at Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge. Wildlife was plentiful and we even got to see a loggerhead sea turtle make her way from the ocean to the dunes. The weather was cooperative and never went above 88 degrees. Even the relatively high humidity was tempered by the gulf shore breezes. All in all, it was a fantastic week and we'd recommend it to anyone and would return ourselves for a repeat performance.
Nice and quiet
Kids lived the pier abd wading out during low tide. It's 15 miles or so to gulf shores /orange beach so plan for that.
