...what a WONDERFUL place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled with out stay at the "Conched Out" beach house over Easter weekend. The cottage sits on the 2nd row of a beautiful section of Emerald Isle. Great ocean views from the front porch and a quick walk across the street to access the beach!

The colorful decor is beautiful! You could not help but wake up happy :) The house has a beach "vibe". 4 bedrooms and a lot of lounging space. The front porch and rockers are amazing... perfect for having coffee while gazing at the ocean!

After long mornings on the beach, the pool was perfect for lunch and relaxing...then we were back to the beach in the afternoons. Bike rentals are close -and- don't miss Big Oak Drive-in when you visit, there is also a great kitchen for cooking at "home" too :)

Awesome Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed everything about this house! There are amazing water views all around the house. Easy walk to the beach.

I love running & I met so many fellow runners along Ocean Dr. We rented bikes & rode the bike friendly trail as well.

We enjoyed sitting on the front porch the most! Very clean & cozy home with a tropical feel. I would definitely return.

Beautiful vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful vacation home with spacious living areas, very colorful and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed the July 4th holiday grilling on the large back deck and by the pool, we saw lots of fireworks in the distance-awesome views! Beds were super comfy! Very clean and the property was well maintained. Absolutely loved our stay, definitely would recommend to friends and family! Huge "thank you" to the property manager Joyce Jones for providing us with such a positive experience!

Not worth $5000.00 plus

  • 2 of 5

This house should have been in pristine, presidential condition for the VERY costly 1 week rental fee. The front entry lights on staircase not working, corroded, 1 hanging out w/ wire exposed, interior ceiling fan in family space not working, 1 old TV in a bedroom-tube going just like picture. Several plastic chairs @ pool cracked. I called management ( Joyce) Mon. & Julie & a man came over within 1 hour,TV was replaced & 2 new plastic chairs brought for pool area that day -thank you. We decided fan & lights would be worked on after we vacated.Table trim & grill on upper deck rusty, discovered later that deadbolt on kitchen door would not turn-frozen in position. Fridge had a small leak on interior onto bottom glass shelf ( unknown source of drip) the water soaked thru our groceries that were in paper. Master bath had an old cracked floor tile in front of toilet. 1 drawer in kitchen doesn't open far ( 2") because it is blocked by dishwasher. Pool was nice & enjoyed everyday, but we cleaned all the bugs ( a lot on pool floor - beetles & other types, that is outdoor life) everyday, pool maint. guy came 2x during our stay to do his work. The stairs @ basement are very very steep & I don't recommend for elderly people, also the scatter rugs placed throughout house are colorful but a way to trip & fall. Interior paint scheme bright & cheerful. The master bed really comfortable but way tall & I had to literally crawl, fling 1 leg up to get onto bed-a comedy each night. It would be nice to put 1 roll of toilet paper per person expected instead of 1 roll per bathroom( I was told by Joyce that this was not a hotel & we of course we' re aware-Julie brought us 3 emergency rolls on that Mon.-thanks) Oh 1 more thing , the plastic handle in master bathroom shower fell off the metal stem-I guess it needs some glue. Place is close to beach access for morning & PM stroll. I hope you will let people read this &( not edit) decide for themselves, most of the complaints are fixable items. Emerald Isle is a nice area of NC.

Beautiful home in a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

This house was the perfect location for an end of the summer get away. The house was exactly as described online. Great open floor plan, still maintaining plenty of privacy in the bedrooms. Brightly decorated, really setting a relaxed beach mood as you walked in to unpack.

The home is second row, a very easy walk to the beach access. The location is great, the beach was never crowded, the water was perfect temperature, a wonderful sandbar that allowed even the youngest to walk quite a distance out into the ocean.

Two families stayed in the house, it never felt crowded. We spent most of our day outside. We loved having a pool right in the backyard. It was a wonderful break from the ocean. The kids especially loved the pool. The deck was peaceful, I really enjoyed the view of the ocean in the morning before everyone was up and moving.

The kitchen was stocked well with cooking supplies, a gas grill on the deck overlooking the pool which we used often. Plenty of outdoor seating and table umbrellas. It really was a wonderful set up. We would have loved to stay for more than a week.

Joyce Jones was available via phone and email, with stunning response time. The home was very clean when we arrived. I highly recommend booking a week (or two).

Exceeded Already High Expectations

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of staying and playing in this beautiful home! Perfectly decorated, situated, and deservedly highly rated! Incredibly clean (thank you Joyce and your wonderful cleaning staff), lots of extras (we especially appreciated the well stocked closet of beach and pool accoutrements), and something for all ages. Our party ranged in age from 85 to 15 and everyone found their "Happy Place(s)" here. We will be back!
