180 degrees stunning view of the sea and the islands – les îles d'or, “the golden isles'... l'ile du Levant, Port Cros, Bagaud, Porquerolles. The eyes are dragged to the sea from every room of what is said to be the most romantic villa in Aiguebelle and Le Lavandou... romantic with its 'rotonde' flanking the main part of the house, romantic with ancient majestic umbrella pine trees shading the terrace from the generous Mediterranean sun, romantic also for the soothing colour of the lawn and shutters.
The house is a simple and elegant bastide, tastefully refurbished. It opens to the sea through large curved double doors. Between the bedrooms at the West-end square tower, and the kitchen at the East-end 'rotonde', a spacious living room and a sitting room with fireplace, both with wooden beams, open on the terrace and lawn overlooking the sea. The tiled pool on the side also overlooks the sea from a large terrace in part shade of the trees.

We knew this part of the coast for its gorgeous beaches ('Aiguebelle' means 'beautiful water'), wilderness and fragrant vegetation, and were looking for a house with a view, within walking distance of the sea.
We simply fell under the charm...
The view is breathtaking when you open the gate and walk in the garden, when you walk in the master bedroom ... Falling asleep to the faint sound of waves and singing nightingales, waking up to the song of birds and the glittering sea, enjoying every meal in the shade of majestic pine trees or on the lawn in front of the sea... Walking through exhuberant nature to more cute beaches than you care to visit, coming home to rinse sea salt in the pool, stepping on cool old tiles in the spacious and luxurious rooms... Totally irresistible!!
Beyond the beautiful property, the 'Lavandourains' and 'Bormeens' are so welcoming that we felt at home from day one. A bunch of 'bons vivants' enjoying their tasty and healthy mediterranean cuisine and refreshing 'rose' wine.
Beyond the property and the people, every direction takes you to beauty; North to the wild and rolling hills of the Var backcountry, East to the bay of St Tropez, West to the domains and wineries of Cotes de Provence, and South to the sea and prestine Islands, of course! I cannot think of a place that offers a more preserved and voluptuous environment.

Best rented villa we ever had! Perfect view, fully equipped kitchen, good beds, nice and clean swimming pool, quality furniture - everything as one would arrange it for himself.
Right basis for mountainbiking and bicycling as well as beaches in this area. Numerous restaurants at short distance right at the beach or in one of the small towns nearby.
But the house with its rock garden was so nice that we preferred to stay some days just there enjoying the place.
The property is in Aiguebelle, West and nicest area of Le Lavandou. Walking down the path adjoining the property, you will reach Jean Blanc beach in 5 minutes. It is charming and in our opinion one of the nicest of the twelve beaches in Le Lavandou. Indeed you have a choice: Le Layet (nudist and famous for the best fish restaurant in the region), Aiguebelle, La Fossette, Cavaliere, St Clair and others hidden to be discovered. Most have high quality beach restaurants, sunbeds, umbrellas and facilities for your comfort and pleasure. Within walking distance from the house, you have a choice of good restaurants for lunch and dinner on the beach and in land.
A pedestrian and bike trail goes for miles along the coast (former 'Train des Pignes'), a little electric train runs it to serve the beaches from Le Lavandou to Cavaliere during the summer.
You can also walk to Cavaliere to find a small supermarket, butcher, baker and green grocer, and above all, a market every Monday morning.

Rates are inclusive of normal amount of cleaning after your departure; if the property requires extensive care to be put back to its condition, additional cleaning fees will apply.
The property is meant for 6 people. If your party will be more than 6, it needs to be agreed in advance and additional charges of 100 euro per night for adults, 50 euro per night for children under 12 will apply.
Pets must also be agreed in advance; if agreed, a fee of 80 euro per pet per week will apply. In no cases can pets go on furniture (beds and coaches); the house and garden have to be cleaned after your pets.
The property can be rented over long week-ends (3 nights minimum), or over 10 days, depending on availability.
In the winter, a surcharge may apply for electricity consumption based on actual usage beyond a normal consumption (heating is powered with electricity).
The rental price is due 60 days prior to your arrival.
In order to secure your dates, a 25% reservation deposit is due upon booking. This reservation deposit converts into a security/damage deposit, reimbursable within 2 weeks after your departure upon confirmation that no loss or damage has occurred.
Payment is best made by wire transfer.
