About The Owner

The Boudreau Family Welcomes you to La Casa di Vino. We maintain and clean the cottage ourselves, please let us know if anything needs repair or of anything that is missing that could have been added for a future stay. This is NOT a large space, 700 sq feet with small bedrooms. The maximum capacity is 4 people sharing two bedrooms with queen beds. We welcome dogs and have never had any problem with guests that bring dogs, but do ask that you do not let animals on the beds, or furniture.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2005

Why The Owner chose Seneca Lake

This property is perfectly situated near the large wineries on Cayuga lakes west side. The summer and fall are a perfect time for wine tasting, lounging outside and relaxing. We close our cottage in colder months because frankly winters are brutal in this neck of the woods. The views from the deck, square footage of deck equals that of the inside of cottage, are gorgeous. The cottage property is intersected with Rte 89 and cottage is close to the road, if you have any concerns with small children or pets this is not the space for you. Parking is available in the large lawn on other side of road, which can also be used for dogs to run, or a game of volley ball etc. if you wish.

What makes this cottage unique

.We have many repeat guests year after year so book early. Online booking is available with a 50% down payment and 50% due 7 days before stay. There are no additional fees for the cleaning or deposits. An additional fee will be charge for the host site for the credit card transaction.

Relaxation defined

  • 5 of 5

What a relaxing little vacation cottage! We had such a great vacation in this little cottage, right on the lake with views to kill for. Local wineries, the Cayuga Ice Cream Factory, Taughannock Falls, and many vineyard restaurants all within a short drive. Jill and Ed have done a great job with this vacation home and everything we needed was available in the cottage. The best part....we brought our two dogs with us and they were treated to a vacation as well. Not many places will allow this and it saved us boarding costs and more money to spend during the week! Super accommodating to all our needs and looking forward to next year.

Nice home, amazing location on the lake

  • 4 of 5

Home was lovely, clean and up to date. It was perfect for the four of us. Owner was responsive to all inquiries leading up to the booking. Wonderful that we were able to bring our dog with us. The deck overlooking, and right over, the little beach on the bay was wonderful. Owner was immediately responsive to an issue with a renter next door, calling the owner and getting it taken care of immediately! Location was amazing, again - the lake and the proximity to the many vineyards and hiking trails. It's about a 20 minute drive to the closest town that offers grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the house is on, and very close to, what turned out to be quite a busy road. Even on the deck, and especially in the bedrooms, you hear the very loud rumble of huge trucks speeding by - sounds like they are practically in the house. If you can tolerate the sound of vehicles then it's perfect.

Great Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week here and absolutely loved it! The cottage is super cute and clean. The views from this place are beautiful! We enjoyed watching the sunrise with our morning coffee. There is a canoe and a kayak available if you want to go out on the lake. We had our pups and walked them in the lot across the street. The location is close to several state parks for hiking and is located along the Cayuga wine trail.

Loved it !!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This place was recently remodeled and its super cute, and clean. The deck is awesome. The place is small but it was fine for what we needed. Cooked there both nights. The wineries are really close and the large parking area across the street was perfect for walking the dogs. I would definitely stay here again !!!! Thanks so much. Shelly and the kids.....

Cute Little Cottage needs TLC (cleaning and repairs)

  • 2 of 5

When we arrived in October, I was most disappointed to find the house very unclean. I called the owner to inform her that I was concerned about the cleanliness and wasn't sure if she was aware . She said she checked the house herself and everyone has a different idea of clean. So, we opted to clean it ourselves, but after trying to make the best of it we left the following day and checked into a local hotel for the next two nights, choosing to forfeit the money that was paid. I let the owner know, via email, that it is a cute little cottage but it needs some TLC, including minor repairs. Did not get a response from her. -- I will say to be fair that there were many positive guest comments in the guest book on the counter. We just didn't share the same feelings about our stay. I loved the cayuga trail, although I would recommend trying the Seneca Trail for your first visit to the Finger Lakes. There are many more lodging options.

Owner's Response: I am always disappointed when some one is not happy. I will advise that I did not make the customer pay for the balance due even though the contract was to pay the balance on arrival. Luckily in my five years of renting I have not had a complaint like this.
