About The Owner

The Boudreau Family Welcomes you to La Casa di Vino. We maintain and clean the cottage ourselves, please let us know if anything needs repair or of anything that is missing that could have been added for a future stay. This is NOT a large space, 700 sq feet with small bedrooms. The maximum capacity is 4 people sharing two bedrooms with queen beds. We welcome dogs and have never had any problem with guests that bring dogs, but do ask that you do not let animals on the beds, or furniture.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2005

Why The Owner chose Seneca Lake

This property is perfectly situated near the large wineries on Cayuga lakes west side. The summer and fall are a perfect time for wine tasting, lounging outside and relaxing. We close our cottage in colder months because frankly winters are brutal in this neck of the woods. The views from the deck, square footage of deck equals that of the inside of cottage, are gorgeous. The cottage property is intersected with Rte 89 and cottage is close to the road, if you have any concerns with small children or pets this is not the space for you. Parking is available in the large lawn on other side of road, which can also be used for dogs to run, or a game of volley ball etc. if you wish.

What makes this cottage unique

.We have many repeat guests year after year so book early. Online booking is available with a 50% down payment and 50% due 7 days before stay. There are no additional fees for the cleaning or deposits. An additional fee will be charge for the host site for the credit card transaction.

Lake frontage with breathtaking views.

  • 4 of 5

Cute little cottage. Well stocked & comfortable. A few cobwebs in the corners of the bedrooms. Yes, you expect bugs at the lake but this place is supposed to be professionally cleaned or at least the tenant is paying for cleaning. The truck traffic on Rt.89 makes sleeping difficult. There is one problem that no one has mentioned. The grade from the road to the stairs going to the cottage has a chunk of asphalt missing. There is no railing to the stairs which makes this a very dangerous situation.

Was a fantastic location . wineries. outlets !

  • 4 of 5

Had a great stay right in the water. So much to do in this area. From the local food . Farmers markets . Outlets and bass pro for the men . There's a beer garden down the road that had munchies and we played cards while a band played . Great time !

Convenient & good location!

  • 4 of 5

My family of 4 rented this cottage because it was close to the wineries & it was great being right down the road from so many! The view was amazing as well & we had a great time kayaking on the lake. Our stay was overall extremely positive & we were grateful to find somewhere to stay, as opposed to having to get a hotel in Geneva or Ithaca. However, just 2 items to note: The property is RIGHT next to Rt. 89, which often gets high traffic & especially trucks. Due to the placement of the bedrooms, you can certainly hear everything & anything that goes by. Also, while the property was very well kept, the house could use a little TLC. We're not super clean, immaculate people, but a quick wipe down of sinks, toilets, & a quick sweep of cobwebs & bugs out of the corner would have made us feel more at ease. Nonetheless, Jill was extremely helpful & prompt with all e-mail responses & we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Wine Trail Cottage

Lovely cottage right on the lake. Very clean on the inside. Beautiful sunrise. The only downside was that we needed to upback things from across the street.

Perfect for our mini honeymoon in Cayuga Lake

  • 5 of 5

It was a great little lakeside house for our mini honeymoon. It is minutes from wineries, breweries, restaurants and a great creamery. There were kayaks available for use and was dog friendly which was great! Spacious deck and lots of seating along with perfect fire pit with a fantastic view of Cayuga Lake. Highly recommend starting here and felt right at home at this cozy locale. Thanks!
