About this property

ComfyDome Hill-Side Glamping

Situated on a cozy little hill, you'll be elevated above all the other domes, affording you a "royal" view of the landscape! With a clear view of the sprawling fields, you'll frequently be the first to spot the family of deer that visit ComfyDome. Your heart will be filled with joy at the sight of the newborn fawns walking through the grass. You'll be surrounded by stunning natural beauty on all sides and will have ample open space to enjoy your site in comfort!

We are an off-grid glampground that offers a unique experience to our guests. By utilizing solar power to run our domes, we are able to reduce our carbon footprint and minimize our impact on the planet. Our solar energy system, while great, can sometimes be unpredictable on cloudy days. To keep our guests comfortable during peak temperatures, we have installed shade cloth traps that can be opened or closed as needed.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our energy usage. Our bathroom house features composting toilets that can save over 6600 gallons (24,984 L) of water per person each year. By disconnecting from the main power grid and water system, we are able to keep our costs low while still providing our guests with an unforgettable glamping experience.

At our off-grid glampground, we strive to embody the essence of glamping: glamorous camping in nature. Our focus is on immersing our guests in the natural environment and allowing them to slow down and appreciate the beauty around them. Nature is the heart of our existence and should be enjoyed in its purest form.

A great "glamping" experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Domes are very clean, and Seth was great about providing everything that we needed. Bed was comfortable. We got to see quite a few deer (including two fawns) and the stars at night were beautiful. Would definitely recommend!

I am Seth Fraser, the Founder of ComfyDomeGlamping, and I am fueled by my passion for the great outdoors, delivering exceptional customer service, and crafting unforgettable memories for our valued guests. My journey with ComfyDome began when I recognized a need for change in the vacation industry. The traditional vacation model often entails traveling to a single location, staying there for an entire week, investing a significant amount of money in a standard room, and if fortunate, having a small budget remaining for an adventure. Throughout my years of traveling with my family, I experienced this monotony firsthand. Halfway into our vacations, we often grew weary of the same surroundings and regretted spending a substantial amount of money. Motivated by these experiences, I established ComfyDome as a solution to these vacation challenges. I wanted to offer something different and more fulfilling. Our mission is to provide an extraordinary glamping experience that combines comfort, nature, and adventure. We believe that true adventure lies in embracing the beauty of nature and discovering new horizons. Our aim is to offer an alternative vacation experience that breaks free from the conventional mold. So join us at ComfyDomeGlamping and embark on an extraordinary journey where comfort, nature, and adventure converge.

Why they chose this property

Come stay at the most unique glampground in Mid-Coast Maine! No hidden fees, great pricing, 5-star rating, and awesome adventures! Pet-friendly!

We have 3 domes available for rent! The domes are completely weatherproof! The bed is a plush queen-size bed! The adventures are outdoors and awesome!

What makes this property unique

We embrace the concept of slow travel! Our emphasis lies not in the multitude of amenities one can imagine, but in the abundance of nature one can experience. Picture yourself waking up leisurely in the morning, basking in the gentle warmth of the sun on your face while the melodious birdsong fills the air. You can begin your day by kindling a fire and preparing a delightful breakfast. Afterwards, immerse yourself in a refreshing swim in the nearby lake or embark on a rejuvenating hike through one of the numerous nature preserves that surround us.
