Elegantly furnished 1100 ft² / 100sqm duplex apartment, with 2 terraces with great sea onto the bay of Cannes, the Lerins islands and the Mediterranean.

This apartment is set in 60 acres of lush gardens with 2 pools (plain and sea water) and all you might want for a great holiday with friends and family (tennis, ping pongs, playground, sauna, fitness room, "petanque" area, basket ball court) and a kids activities in the high season. It is very secure (fenced and guarded), with life guards on one of the 2 the rocky beaches and at one pool in the high season.

The apartment is on 2 levels.

On the lower level it has a large living-room with a fireplace, and a fully equipped open kitchen and dining area, and a terrace with sun loungers, table and chairs for meals for 6 people. It also has bedroom that can be either double a single, a separate guest toilet with washbasin.

The 2 main and larger bedrooms are on the higher floor. Both rooms are about 16m2 and both have a fabulous sea-view and a shared terrace, with a sun-lounger and table and chairs for 2 to 4 people. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a large bath tub and shower and double sink and toilet. For the other bedroom, there is a shower room with toilet and single sink. There is also a small laundry room equipped with a large capacity washer and dryer, iron and board, etc.

The apartment has its own Wifi internet access.

There is air-conditioning in both of the main bedrooms and a ceiling fan in the lower bedroom which is cooler. 2 more fans are provided, as well as hairdryers.

The apartment has got a good heating system for winter rentals (electric radiators and reversible air conditioning units), as well as an open fireplace in the sitting room.

Close to both the mountains and the sea, Port-La-Galère offers a wide range of activities:

- in the 'Winter club' area: heated pool (from Easter onwards approx, 18 metres long), sauna, fitness room, bar, and excellent restaurant. You can book massages in the high season (for a fee).

- by the 'Summer club', and its large sea water pool and the paddling pool, you can enjoy sun loungers, the pool bar and restaurant, water games, and a little market where you can order bread, croissants and international newspapers (in high season)

- you can enjoy the 2 rocky beaches (with showers) and floating platform (in the summer).

- 2 tennis courts, and children will also like the basket ball pitch, playground, ping pong tables, 'pétanque' area, and the older children can go to the domain disco (July and August)

- there is also a fenced area dedicated to dogs.

Port la Galère is about 3 km from the village of Théoule sur Mer, which has nice beaches and a selection of shops for supplies. It is about 15 km from Cannes, with its glitzy atmosphere and Festival, and 40 km from Nice and its international airport. It is very easily accessible, and away from the busy roads and railway track on the riviera.

Little gem in an exclusive community overlooking the sea

We just returned having spent a week at Leopoldine's property in the exclusive Port la Galere 20 minutes west of Cannes. Go now!! It was a little slice of heaven.

The apartment was in a lovely condition. White furniture, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and good entertaining space. There are two balconies, both of which overlook the sea. The kitchen was nicely appointed and had essentially all that we needed to cook and entertain. It is a small kitchen, but for us it worked just fine.

It has a private entrance and fantastic access to the tennis courts as well as the beach. It's quite hilly, which we loved as it made for additional privacy and magestic views.

The pools are big and have character. One is salt water and the other is chlorinated. People were a little irritable with kids making noise but we were there off season so maybe this is why?

All in all it's a fabulous property. Leopoldine was easy to work with and takes pride in her place.

The "winter club" pool is meant to be the quiet option, whereas the "summer club" pool is where children can make noise and splash as much as they wish... But at this time of year, of course the heated winter club pool is more attractive for all... We are pleased though that you still had a good and memorable holiday. We look forward to welcoming you again soon !

Had a great holiday here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week summer holiday in this apartment.

The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable with fantastic views. In practical terms the kitchen has full-size appliances (cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine etc.), there is a comfortable sitting area with modern TV and DVD, and upstairs the two full-size bedrooms have cooling air conditioning and modern bathrooms.

Whilst there is no dedicated parking for the apartment we always found somewhere near to park, and for arrival and departure it is possible to park outside the apartment for unloading/loading of the car.

In terms of the complex itself the Winter Club is approximately a 3-4 minute walk away, and the Summer Club, where the pool is located, is approximately a 7-8 minute walk away, both require a walk either down fairly steep steps or along the road, which takes slightly longer. Coming back there is a free shuttle bus if energy levels are low.

The Summer Club has a fantastic pool, bar, restaurant, and surrounding beeches. Whilst the beaches are rocky, it is a “flat rock” so comfortable to lie on with a towel, or you can hire a sun-lounger for €5 per day. There is a lifeguard at the beach so it is safe to swim, and there is a nice floating sunbathing area in the bay, which is easy to swim to.

On-site there is a small shop that is useful for the basics or emergencies, but for a full shop the Geant Casino is the best option, and is a 15 minute or so drive away along the scenic coast road. The Summer Club restaurant is quite lively and also has a take away pizza parlour, both of which are good, and for formal dining in a sedate atmosphere there is the Winter Club restaurant. Theoule-sur-Mer itself is only a few minutes away by car but parking is difficult, and can be walked in about 40 minutes, and it has a small supermarket and a mix of bars and restaurants.

The owner, Leopoldine, was very helpful, and everything was ready for us when we arrived. All in all it is an apartment we would recommend and consider visiting again in the future.

a pleasure to be back

The flat is bright and peaceful, with two big terraces both with wonderful views. Furnished with taste, the bathrooms have been recently fully renovated. Thoughtful welcome package that made us feel at home right away. The whole compound is very well kept and full of beautiful trees. This is my second visit and I have recommended this property to several friends.

An amazing getaway. Idyllic AND comfortable

Very accurate description and would highly recommend. The apartment is clean, bright and has charm and comfort and a practical lay-out - two terraces to inhabit (we ate on the lower terrace every day) both have ravishing views down to the sea. Spotless new bathrooms and a large sitting room with two sofas to retreat to for day-time dozing. Easy access to the wonderful swimming pool and the bar and restaurant of the club house.

wonderful again....
