A great Stay
We have a great Time at Villa Hannah with our friends, thank you!!!
The House was clean and looks like the pictures (easy but beautiful).
Alan and Suzanne, the contact spots at Chania, was very friendly and answering all our questions. At our Arrival we had a little bit Wine, Coffee, Tea, Cornflakes, Toast and some Covering in the Kitchen, which was so attentively. In our Holyday we have done different trips, for example to the Balos and Elafonissi Beach and a hike by the Samaria Gorge . All trips were very cool and
We will be back!
Great place, great view, great atmosphere, great staff - what more can I say? Highly recommended!
Just what we like to hear from our guests. Short sweet and to the point..
Perfect Family get away!
Great location, the house is in top shape and very comfortable. Views are stunning, most idyllic places on a short drive away. Loved the night sky and sun rise, it's worth the early wake up!
RETURN TO VILLA HANNAH
The review title says it all! We returned because we had such a good stay last year, the villa is so well looked after and so are you! Welcome package is nice, and clean bins every day and clean linen/bedding during the week is fantastic! The area is glorious and the local restaurants offer a variety of fantastic food! The pool is a welcome relief from the heat just dive in to cool off! My personal favourite thing is watching the eagles soaring first thing in the morning and the evening ! I recommend this to everyone who asks me where we are staying in Crete ! In the words of Mr Schwarzenegger "I'll be back!"
The villa was extremely spacious and and comfy for our party of five, with one of our party being 82 at the time. While over in crete we visited some amazing beaches and went for a drive up through the white mountains. While staying in villa hanna the weather was very hot reaching temperatures of 30Cso we definitely got to get a tan using the pool area. The pool area was big and spacious with plenty of seating. The pool itself was bigger than expected although it had to use the sun temperature to heat throughout the day, but was welcoming and refreshing in the heat. The hospitality from both dave and sandra was excellent with dave giving us tips on where to go and visit over the island of chania. The views from the villa at night was pretty with being able to see the lights of the villages. We would recommend a car if you want to travel the island. As a first time villa user we would definitely use the villa again but next time we would come for a fortnight as we enjoyed it so much. Thanks again to dave and sandra for making our stay so comfortable. The Townsend Party :)
A beautiful villa in a beautiful setting
We were a party of 4 couples staying in Villa Sophia of the Pano Stalos Villas and found everything was very clean and tidy. On our arrival, Sandra and Dave gave us a very warm welcome and Dave was on hand to explain how everything worked. The villa is well laid out and all the rooms are simply but adequately furnished. The breathtaking views on 3 sides alone make this villa worth staying in. The pool is lovely, and although its construction with a central island would suit families well, we found that we created a bit of a whirlpool effect trying to swim! There are plenty of sunbeds and shade if you need to cool off. We also made use of the brick built barbecue.
The minor negatives were (hence 4 not 5 stars) the fridge we had was unreliable, the welcome pack was a little sparse, and the maid service was simply a towel change, all of which are very easily remedied.
The positives far outweigh any little niggles, not least the friendliness of Dave and Sandra. They recommended restaurants in the next village, 2 of which we tried, and helped us to locate supermarkets etc. They were always ready to answer any questions that we had, even before we had arrived and sent detailed driving instructions.
The 3 villas at Pano Stalos provide something for everyone. They are peaceful yet within easy reach of the more touristy areas of north Crete. The separate flats are great for families, providing extra flexibility. Although a car is a necessity, the villa is not too far away from supermarkets or trip bus stops and we spent a very pleasant evening in Chania (so many restaurants it is impossible to choose one but do take a tour of the old town and try to visit the old fashioned backgammon shop just for a chat with the lady who owns it) as well as walking the Samaria Gorge (amazing if you are fit enough but best to go on an organised trip). Great beaches to go to would be Elafonisi and Falasarna.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the Villa Pano Stalos and I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay there.
Pano Stalos is ideally placed for touring, being just 15/20 mins away from Chania. We have five good restaurants and a local shop in the village of Pano Stalos.
