About the property

Comfortable family apartment, ideally located on great complex - Sleeps 6

2-bed, first floor, family apartment (sleeps 6) is located on the San Jaime complex overlooking the pool. It comprises one double bedroom and one smaller bedroom with twin beds, built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. The living area has a large corner sofa incorporating a pull out double bed and chaise lounge. The kitchen/dining area and bathroom are fully equipped. There is a small terrace to the rear and a larger terrace to the front with gate for child safety.

The San Jaime complex is very close to the centre of the resort and only a five minute walk to the magnificent beach of Son Bou. They are set in beautifully manicured gardens with a large communal pool (with pool bar), children's paddling pool, tennis courts and children's play area.

The beach, the best on the island, offers excellent bathing and water sport facilities. The resort has a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops. There is a play area and water slides.

About Menorca: Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic Islands which lie in the Mediterranean off the South Coast of Spain. With a more conservative atmosphere than its sister islands, Majorca and Ibiza, it is ideal for a relaxing family holiday in a tranquil setting.

There are over a hundred beaches ranging from small coves to long stretches of sand. The longest beach in Menorca is Son Bou – nearly 3 km of pale golden sand.

Situated on Menorca's south coast and approximately 20 minutes drive from Mahon airport, Son Bou is a firm favourite with families.

About Son Bou: There is something for everyone in Son Bou. It can be relaxing but there is plenty to do, if you wish. The beach at Son Bou slopes gently down into clear blue waters which offer excellent bathing and water sport facilities. There are several beach bars and the usual sun beds and umbrellas are available to hire, as well as pedaloes, and for the more adventurous, banana boat rides and speed boat hire.

The beach is within easy walking distance of the centre of the resort which is made up of mainly low level developments and villas nestling into the hills behind.

There is a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops catering for all tastes and requirements. For the children, there is a play area, water slides and a 16 lane 10-pin bowling alley and amusement centre.

About San Jaime apartments: San Jaime apartments are ideally located close to the centre of the resort and only a short walk to the magnificent beach. They are set in beautifully manicured gardens with a large communal pool (with a pool bar), children’s paddling pool, tennis courts and children’s play area. The popular ‘Club San Jaime’ centre is a short distance away with water slides, supermarket, shops, restaurant and medical centre.

Fabulous stay in Son Bou

We had great two weeks in Son Bou. The Apartment is very nice and Gillian helped us with everything. For our son 16 months old the place was perfect. The pool is next to the Apartment, there is a playground and the beach is withing walking distance.

Fabulous holiday apartment

Booked for a short spring break for our family. Apartment beautifully laid out with clean and modern kitchen and bathroom. Balcony overlooking a great pool. Slept so well. Beautiful white sandy beaches to walk to within minutes. Lovely friendly resort and locals made us very welcome . Cannot wait to go back. Superb value for money!

Location, Location, Location :)

It was my first time in Menorca and in Son Bou, and for that reason this apartment was the perfect choice. It's perfect location made the holiday so easy and laid-back as everything desired is so close. The apartment itself was clearly well-looked after, with a modern interior and even the inclusion of a washing machine, making my stay more relaxed.

Son Bou isn't shy of excellent quality restaurants, shops, gorgeous pools and the serene beach front, all less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment. There is an abundance of things do to, such as the banana boat, an obstacle course on the sea, boat hire and even a Thomas-the-Tank-engine style train that goes around the complex of Son Bou Gardens.

A lovely apartment, to accompany a lovely holiday destination.

Clean, modern, and ideally located

Fantastic modern apartment - I'd love that fridge at home! Washing machine was ideal as we were there for 2 weeks. Housekeeping does come in after 1 week, so that was nice to come back to a clean apartment during our stay. Nice touches in the apartment - games, books, inflatables, parasols, buckets and spades, fans. We've stayed in Son Bou before but in zone 4, being in zone 3 and right next to the Son Bou Gardens pool and bar was just the perfect location. Having breakfast on the balcony watching the pool being cleaned, looking over at the sea - how idyllic. 5 mins, if that, walk to the shops and restaurants.

We loved the Son Bou Gardens pool, we tried others at Club Jaime, but thought the atmosphere and bar staff at the Gardens (or the Take Away as our son called it) were much nicer. You pay for the sunbeds, but then get the money paid deducted from drinks/food purchased at the bar. Son Bou beach is lovely too, and there are pedalo slides and a huge inflatable structure in the sea for the kids. Our sons 7 and 3 loved the "holiday home" and Son Bou. A perfect 2 weeks!

Lovely apartment, ideal location

This was our first time in Menorca - family of 3 adults and 2 children. Gillian's apartment was excellent and met all of our needs. Apartment was lovely and clean, with a modern kitchen and bathroom, and is looking right over the pool - in my opinion is in the best position in the complex. We have a 2 year old and 5 year old, and found the apartment to be very safe as it is upstairs with a secure gate and balcony. The pool is ideal for little ones and there is a lovely bigger pool for adults to enjoy. The apartment is right next to all of the restaurants and shops in Son Bou, and Son Bou itself is beautiful. Very relaxing and family orientated. Gillian was excellent to deal with, and responded very quickly and very helpful with all of my questions and booking of transfers etc. I would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend to family and friends. All in all we had an excellent holiday - thanks Gill. Ciara

Fantastic family holiday

This was our 22 month old sons first holiday abroad and what a perfect apartment to stay in. It was child safe as the balcony had a secure gate. To get to the pool you simply walk down the steps, we were in there several times a day! The apartment is really close to the beach, I think we could walk it in 5 minutes. Likewise the resort itself is only a few minutes away, and a play park a walk around the corner. We ate in some evenings as the brand new kitchen is well equipped. We hired a car and visited some of the other towns but would have been just as happy remaining in Son Bou. If you have small children they will love the pool with toddler section, the road train that drives around the resort and the perfect beach (that even has lots of ducks you can feed!) I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

For those that enjoy walking, there is a 1 hour walk along a coastal path to Santo Tomas. The drive to Santo Tomas will take approx 15 minutes and a further 15 minutes to the picturesque resort of Cala Galdana. The resorts of Cala en Porter and Binibeca are also within 15-20 minutes drive.

The town of Alayor is the nearest major town, 10 minutes away. Mahon, a great place to visit is 20 minutes away.

For golfers, the resort of Son Parc is on the north west side of the island but is within 30 minutes drive.
