Relax, Revitalize & Rejuvenate. This amazing house is great for family retreats or people looking to get away from it all. The house is located in Fontana, the peaceful west side of beautiful Geneva Lake. You’ll love the tranquil setting of 100 year old oak trees, wildlife and views of Big Foot Country Club from three decks. Passes for free access to the public beach, and free parking and chairs for private association beach. The beaches are cleaned and manicured every morning and the lake is one of the cleanest in the country. Local area attractions including the Abbey Resort, Gordy’s and Chucks are only 1 mile away. Gordy’s and Jerry’s rent water toys - boats, wave runners, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Golf is available at Abbey Springs or the award winning 54 holes of Geneva National. For a scenic walk or a long trek the 21 mile lakefront public trail is a great way to see the impressive estates. Short drive to downtown Lake Geneva.
Small business owner with a family of four.
Scott Waltenburg purchased this house in 2011
The setting of this house among the trees with the views of the golf course in the distance really appealed to us. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with lots of kids and its own private beach and piers on Geneva Lake where everyone congregates to enjoy the summer days. The fall is also a special time with all the different trees changing colors and the deer in the back yard. Once you experience it, you'll know why we chose the house.
This house was in very good shape and incredibly clean. The owner provided all kinds of extras such as rafts and sand toys to use at the lake, as well as board games and cards to use in case of rain. There is wireless access, with even a printer that we were able to use for boarding passes. The house is great for family games at night.....Large dining table with eight chairs but you can easily fit 10 at the table for cards. Also...everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen. The carpeting appears to be brand new... that clean. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch. We even saw a deer on two occasions out back. The lake is beautiful and very clean. There is even lifeguard at the private beach and they provide beach chairs as well.
We took the mail boat tour on the lake which I would definitely recommend. Take the morning tour where the kids jump from the boat to the piers to deliver the mail and then jump back on while the boat is moving! Really interesting information provided about the homes on the lake and the people who lived there.
We enjoyed making the farm stand sweet corn almost every night. Incredibly delicious. If you are there in the late summer, go to Pearson's farm stand!
The stairs between the three levels are spiral, but they are carpeted and large, so even my 93 year old mother was able to use them. That was my only concern before going, since none of the bedrooms are on the main level. (You had to go either up or downstairs to a bedroom...and the bathrooms with the showers/tubs.
I would definitely recommend this home. The owner was extremely helpful. Also... if you like flowers, there are some amazing flowers in front of the house. Some special type of Hybiscus...the flowers were the size of paper plates!
The house is wonderful with great view from the hill. We've enjoyed a lot. With private beach, 10 min to Lake Geneva. It was a really good vacation. We will go again.
The house is in great condition. Perfect for large groups. The wooded view from all three decks is ideal and we spent the majority of our time outside. There's a nice beach and a couple restaurant/bars about 1 mile away that's an easy walk. The owner is great to work with. I plan to rent again and to suggest to friends and family.
House is in great condition and the view from the deck makes this property worth every penny. The owner is laid back and easy to work with. Would stay again and will suggest to friends and family.
We came for a relaxing weekend away with friends. The house was in a beautiful wooded area with fantastic views of the golf course from the 3 balconies. The majority of us are runners so the access to the Lake Geneva lake path was great. We went into Lake Geneva for a few activities and it was a 15-20 minute drive, not too bad. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The owner, Scott, was very helpful with answering my many questions. All of us said we would come and stay again.
I believe we are one of the first people to rent this house and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Scott, the owner, was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. It is great for adults and kids with a separate area on the lower level with a flat screen tv so those that want to converse and have a quiet time can do so in the primary living area. There is also a well-stocked cabinet with games of all sorts. Our stay was in the winter, but I can imagine the outdoor deck areas would be terrific in warmer weather. All in all, we had a great time and would recommend it heartily.
