A special, memorable place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Our second stay here was as good as the first. This old time clubby, vintage artist studio at the back of a beautiful Uptown house is just what we want out of a visit to quirky Nola. It’s a perfect place for parents of Loyola or Tulane students.

There was time well spent at the billiards table and we’re always grateful for the icy AC. This is a very clean place and Staci’s gracious hospitality will keep us coming back.

Shout out to Ryan the dog who always greets us from behind the front door. Good boy, Ryan.

Original, fascinating, historic, comfortable property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

What a unique and delightful place to stay. Peaceful, quiet and comfortable, with an really interesting history. Fantastic location in a great neighborhood, with some great restaurants and coffee shops just a few minutes' walk away, and the streetcar just a couple of blocks away for getting into the center of town. Could not recommend this enough.

unique property, great location, excellent and generous host

  • 5 of 5

A fantastic uptown location, in a quiet and elegant residential neighbourhood, near Tulane and Loyola universities, good restaurants, bars, laundromat. With the streetcar just a block away, there is easy access to the Garden District, warehouse/arts district, downtown and the French Quarter. Audubon Park just a few blocks away. Parking is readily available. The property itself is terrific--the separate and self-contained bedroom and bathroom are spacious and well equipped, with a small sink/bar/microwave, and Keurig coffee maker, adequate for breakfast and snacks. The hosts are generous and knowledgeable if you wish assistance, but the property is self-contained, with its own entrance, so privacy is assured. The stunning feature of this location is the great room, a former sculpture studio, with pool table, leather armchairs, and many, many items of memorabilia. The one drawback, for guests who may have to work, is the lack of good desk space and desk chair.

Great Stay in the Garden District

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts provided to all of our needs and more! There is plenty of space for 4. The pool table was a bonus. It was really close to the streetcar, which made traveling to the quarter a breeze. We look forward to future stays.

Unique Property

  • 5 of 5

With many options to pick from in New Orleans, we were very satisfied with our stay here. Staci was very hospitable and helped us with any need we had. The room was unique and filled with many interesting historical artifacts. Location was great and provided a safe environment with many things to see close by. Very short walking distance from shopping and restaurants, the trolley and Tulane and Loyola Universities. Would love to stay her again!

Beautiful quarters in the Garden District

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful place to stay. Staci was a great host. She provided plenty of snacks and the fridge stocked with soft drinks, water, ...etc. It was very clean, bed comfortable, and Keurig coffee pot (my favorite). Very interesting story about the history of the home. It was built in 1903 but they’ve done a brilliant job of combining the historic with modern. The street car is about a block away and we took it everywhere. We will definately be back if we ever need to stay in New Orleans.
