Self-catering lovely one Bedroom Apartment (sleeping up to 4) with communal swimming pool in the Royal Cabanas Golf 1 Resort. Apartment consist of one double living/dining area, with two leather sofas, and dinning table and 4 chairs, (high chair and cot available) with UK TV and DVD player, fully fitted kitchen including a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, iron and ironing board, toaster and full set of cutlery and crockery. Towels and bedding provided.

Each Apartment is air-conditioned, and heated for the winter evenings, there is a private roof terrace with shaded area for the hottest of days and BBQ facilities, where one can enjoy panoramic sea views.

There is a balcony off the bedroom, lounge, and kitchen where there is seating for eating out,

Where else can you have a holiday next to a golf course, a golden sandy beach and a Medieval town (Tavira),

Great appartment to relax and explore the area

Lovely clean spacious apartment with everything you could need. Great roof terrace and balconies so you can find sunny or shaded areas all day long. Pool was great to relax and cool off and was never overcrowded. Air con in bedroom made the evening really comfortable - it's also in main room, but we never needed that in September.

Local supermarket just a few minutes walk, there's a short cut through the complex. Good selection of food and brilliant butchers for BBQ supplies. The Jolly Sailor and Vert Inn are great places to eat within walking distance. The beach at Cabanas is lovely, reached by a small taxi boat 1.50 euro return. Some lovely restaurants and bars along the sea front. You can also walk into the salt pan area across a wonky footbridge on the way to Tavira, we were lucky enough to see flamingos, spoonbills, storks, stilts and a whole host of other wading birds.

The apartment is next to the station 5 min walk for traveling further afield. We had a car this year, parking was easy and there are so many beautiful beaches we'd recommend hiring - we used Sixt and the process was pretty relaxed without any hard sell of extra insurance.

Places we enjoyed: Alcoutim with the secret river beach and beautiful drive back down the M507. Tavira for shopping and restaurants, there's a stunning beach at Praia do Barril with the amazing anchor "cemetery".

Fuzeta - stunning beaches by car park and taxi boat. We did the sea-horse excursion here, which was magical, as well a seahorses the guide found us octopus, urchins and sea cucumbers. Just out of town is a refurbished tide mill, great place to stop for refreshments and spot the wildlife.

The beaches at Manta Rota and particularly Cacela Velha just 10mins drive away are outstanding. At Cacela Velha walk down from the village car park past the river with fiddler crabs and then wade across the Ria Formosa and enjoy the most stunning beaches and even join in with the locals catching clams.

Finally look out for the resident Owl who took shelter from the sun on the shaded roof vents on the opposite building most days!

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à Tavira.

L'appartement est plutôt bien situé.

La terrasse privée sur le toit est un délice avec vue sur la mer.

A notre arrivé, notre appartement n'était pas disponible suite à un problème de fuite d'eau mais nous avons été reloger immédiatement.

Nous avons donc passé une nuit un peu comme à l'hôtel . Des le lendemain nous avons pu entrer dans l'appartement que nous avions réservé.

Je mettrai un petit bémol au niveau du matelas.

Je ne dirai pas qu'il est inconfortable mais un nouveau matelas ne serait pas du luxe.

Si nous avons l'occasion de pouvoir revenir nous n'hésiterons pas.

Schönes Ferienwohnung in idealer Lage

Moderne, gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in otimaler Lage um die ganze östliche Algarve und angrenzendes Spanien zu erkunden. Tolle Strände in nächster Nähe. Gut gefallen haben uns die zwei Balkone und vor allem die Dachterasse.

A great apartment

The apartment is really spacious and very well maintained. I loved the balconies as you are able to catch the sun all day. Having a BBQ is a really great idea for those days when you can't be bothered to do anything. It's a 5 minute walk to the railway station which was great as we were able to do a bit of sight seeing without having to hire a car. The local supermarket is less than 10 minute walk, once we found a shorter route and had a really good selection of food and drinks. We walked to the Olde Barrell pub/restaurant where you can get free wifi and traditional pub food. The walk into Cabanas itself took about 20 minutes ( probably quicker if it hadn't been so hot) and there are some really lovely restaurants. Our favourite restaurant was the Jolly Sailor which can be found half way into Cabanas, food lovely and so are the staff.

The beach at Cabanas is reached after a short boat journey and is well worth a visit ( toilets on beach are horrible though!)

Tracy who meets you is really helpful and you can book trips etc, she also kindly kept our luggage for us as we had a late pickup on they way home.

We received good information beforehand from Moira (thanks) all in all we had a great holiday in a really nice apartment

reaxing holiday

Exceeded our expectations, first class accomodation and the roof terrace was certainly a winner.

Plenty of bars and restaurants Pedro's is very reasonable and O Monte is a touch of class with quality food and service.

The bacon butty is a welcome pit stop on the way back from the village(20 mins walk)

The boat trip to the beach is great fun and the beach is tremendous. Trips to Tavira and othe local areas is also recommended.

Cabanas and Conceicao where the apartment is situated the scenery is stunning and penetrates the eastern borders of the Formosa Natural Park, Near by the beautiful town of Tavira the best beach Iiha de Tavira a short boat ride away. Golf fans will not be disappointed by the numerous seaside golf courses on offer in the region with a unique landscape. Local highlights include the Roman town of Estol and the old Moorish town of Silves and the medieval town of Tevira which has been voted on the BBC as the most beautiful town of the Algarve.

The local bars and restaurants (with amazing sea food menus) which are situated along the sea front, in the unspoilt village of Cabanas is ideal for those seeking a more traditional Portuguese holiday, with a short boat ride across to an equally unspoilt white sandy beach.
