In a loft style with careful contemporary decoration

It is ideally located in the heart of Lorient and close to the port and the Place Alsace-Lorraine. The Place Alsace-Lorraine is the starting point for all sites, both sport and cultural sites. There is a bus stop on this square to directly reach the beaches, the high-speed train station and the Groix Island jetty. The first beaches are 3 km away.

Lorient is an ideal starting point to visit Southern Brittany: Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly in the former submarine bae dating from the Second World War, the Citadel of Port-Louis designed by Vauban, the Marine Museum and the Musée de la Compagnie des Indes, Groix Island (45 minutes by ferry), L’Odyssaum of Pont-Scorff (discovery space of wild salmon), the Ironworks Ecomuseum in Inzinzac-Lochrist, the National Hennebont Stud Farm and the Horse Museum, Carnac and its megaliths, Quiberon Peninsula and the wild coast, Pont-Aven and the Painters Museum, the walled town of Concarneau, the old towns of Quimper which is the capital of La Cornouaille and Quimper, the Gulf of Morbihan and its islands, the Château de Josselin which is the fiefdom of the Rohan Family, the small town of Auray and its typical port of Saint-Goustan, etc.

The duplex apartment is very quiet and located on the last floor of a luxury residence with indoor garden. It is rented with an outdoor private parking space that is very close to the stairwell. You can rent it with an extra 2nd parking space in the underground lock-up garage of the residence.

It has 2 terraces including a 50 m² South-exposed terrace facing the living space. It overlooks the garden and it is equipped with table, parasols, garden furniture, sunloungers, electric barbecue, etc.

All modern conveniences: beautiful living room with sofa and armchairs opening onto the very well fitted and equipped open plan kitchen and entrance with cupboard, toilet and cellar.

On the first floor: large Mezzanine with desk overlooking the living space

2 bedrooms including 1 with extra-large 160x200 cm bed and television and 1 with 2x90x200 cm beds and bathroom with shower, bath and large window with unobstructed views over the entire town of Lorient.

Beds are made before arrival (duvets), cleaning included once a week, bath and house linen provided (1 large bath towel and 1 small bath towel per person, bath mat, hand towels and tea towels) and cleaning set.

But also: free unlimited SFR broadband Wi-Fi Internet, landline phone, large LED television with 200 satellite channels, decoder compatible with Canal, DVD player, stereo system, library, board games, iPod/iPhone/iPad docking station, etc.

Über den Dächern von Lorient

Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und komfortabel. An Ausstattung ist ziemlich alles vorhanden um einen entspannten Urlaub zu geniessen. Sat TV mit deutschen Sendern, Waschmaschine/Trockner, Spülmaschine etc funktionierten tadellos. Das Wifi war gut und schnell. Die Betten sind gut und sorgen für entsprechenden Schlafkomfort. Das Badezimmer hat eine Dusche und eine Badewanne mit Ausblick. Die Terasse ist recht gross und mit Sonnenliegen etc. ausgestattet. Wie bereits von anderen Gästen beschrieben, ist der abgeschlossene Parkplatz im Hof eine gute Sache, da die Parkplatzsuche entfällt.

In Lorient findet man alles was man zum Leben braucht und noch mehr. Zahlreiche Restaurants, Geschäfte und Bars lassen es nicht langweilig werden. Man kann bequem um die Ecke zum Essen gehen, man kann sich in der Küche aber auch sehr gut selbst versorgen.

Die Konversation mit Sabine im Vorfeld war sehr nett und hilfreich, sie konnte uns zu privaten Belangen sehr gut Hilfestellung geben. Empfangen wurden wir sehr nett und bekamen eine Einführung in die Details. Die Übergabe am Abreisetag war sehr unkompliziert und schnell.

Es liegt in der Wohnung eine Mappe mit ausführlichen Erklärungen/Beschreibungen zu den verschiedensten Themen wie der Technik im Haus, Restaurants oder wenn ein Arzt benötigt wird.

Die Wohnung wurde nach einer Woche zwischengereinigt und frische Bettwäsche bezogen und Handtücher erneuert.

Unser Fazit: die Wohnung ist ihr Geld wert.

Einziger Nachteil, gegenüber wird gebaut. Der Baustellenlärm hat uns unter der Woche nicht ausschlafen lassen. Für Frühaufsteher aber okay. Wir würden aber diese Wohnung wieder mieten, sollten wir wieder in die Gegend kommen.

Super-Ferienwohnung

Magret und Klaus

In dieser luxuriösen und sehr gepflegten Penthouse-Ferienwohnung im 5. Stock mit Fahrstuhl haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sie ist komplett ausgestatttet. Über SAT empfängt man eine große Anzahl an deutschsprachigen TV-Sendern.

Die Dachterrasse ist bestanden mit diversen Baumpflanzen, die einen tollen Ausblick vermittelt; man hat das Gefühl, man befindet sich in einem Garten.

Die Lage der Wohnung inmitten von Lorient gelegen, ermöglicht die Erkundung der Stadt mit dem Auto und auch zu Fuß.

Die Parkplatzsuche entfällt durch den reservierten Stellplatz im abgeschlossenen Innenhof.

Geschäfte und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft.

Hervorzuheben ist auch die unkomplizierte Übernahme und Übergabe der Ferienwohnung durch die charmante Eigentümerin.

Excellent séjour

Modern penthouse on the last floor of a prestigious luxury residence ideally located in the town centre of Lorient, a few steps away from the pedestrian area, the port and all its shops, restaurants, bars, cinema, etc.

Enjoy the luxury of an apartment with contemporary decoration and very sunny, large, quiet terrace overlooking the indoor garden of the residence, a huge private park designed by the famous Breton landscaper: Erwan Tymen. From the top of the duplex apartment, views over the entire town are wonderful.

There is no better location in Lorient

Very cosy, the furnished tourist penthouse is labelled 4 stars (official classification of the Gîtes de France). It is on the 6th floor with lift.

It boasts of 2 large terraces including a 50 m² South-exposed terrace facing the living room and overlooking the indoor garden of the residence.

This large South-exposed terrace planted with trees is equipped with garden furniture, outdoor table, parasols, electric barbecue, etc.

The other smaller terrace is facing the kitchen. With bistro table and chairs, it is perfect in the morning to have a pleasant breakfast while enjoying the first sunrays.

The duplex apartment is contemporary furnished. It has an entrance with large cupboard/hanging space opening onto the living space with comfortable sofa, 2 large armchairs, large LED television (200 international satellite channels in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, etc.), DVD player, unlimited broadband Wi-Fi Internet, local phone, library with around 50 books in French and English, around 50 DVDs, games for adults and children, etc.

The very well fitted and equipped kitchen opens onto the living space: many storage spaces, electric oven, grill microwave, refrigerator-freezer, ceramic hob, extractor hood and small household appliances (mixer, steam cooker, electric kettle, toaster and electric coffee machine).

Toilet and cellar on the ground floor

On the first floor: large 12 m² Mezzanine overlooking the living room with writing desk and iPhone/iPod/iPad docking station.

2 bedrooms sleep 4 people: 1 with extra-large 160x200 cm bed with quality memory foam mattress and 1 with 2x90x200 cm beds with slatted bed base and very cosy Bultex mattress.

Bathroom: large bay window with unobstructed views over the town of Lorient, bath and shower with thermostatic mixing valve, heated towel rail and toiletries.

For your convenience (included in the rental rate): cleaning set (dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, etc.), beds made before arrival, cotton house linen (fitted sheets, duvet covers, 2 pillows per person and mattress protector) and bath linen (2 towels per person), bath mat, hand towels and tea towels.

For fortnight stays: mid-week cleaning (2 h), bath and bed linen is changed and terrace is maintained.

Paying: pets, extra cleaning upon request and baby-sitting

Baby set upon request (free): approved baby cot, high chair, bottle steriliser, shower seat, changing mat, crockery, etc.

An outdoor private secured parking space is included in the rental rate. An underground garage with automatic door is available with extra cost: € 50 per week.
