Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Roquefort-les-Pins

Sleeps six in two bedrooms and an apartment

A large traditional Bastide on three levels, expertly renovated and furnished to a luxury standard. An apartment is located on the ground floor with internal and external access. A feature of the Bastide, located near the main entrance, is an ancient Lavoir converted to a fish pond and surrounded by decking. The garden on the south side is laid to lawn with olive and fruit trees and flower beds but the main feature is a large free-form infinity pool and beach. A high level plunge pool is a central feature. Large terraces surround the house and pool, a shower room, summer kitchen with gas BBQ and a Boules court complete the outside facilities. A veranda running along two sides of the house at the first floor level provides a large terrace for outdoor living and shade at the ground floor level. Distant sea views can be seen from the garden and terrace. Ample garden chairs and tables are provided. The property is hedged around the boundary and there is a large parking space.

Local amenities: Roquefort les Pins has quaint local shops, a supermarket and restaurants offering excellent value beside superb cuisine (Auberge du Colombier was featured in British Airways magazine) and La Table de Mon Moulin is a fantastic gastronomic experience and the old mill is charming.

The villa is 10 minutes by car to the the lively medieval village of Valbonne with its many restaurants, galleries and shops and lively Friday market.

Things to do: The village of Roquefort adjoins the Opio-Valbonne golf course with additional golf courses at Biot, Mougins and Mandelieu all within easy reach. The amenities are varied: Tennis clubs (at Le Vignal at Opio, Villeuneuve-Loubet) horse riding (St.George at Villeneuve Loubet, Plascassier). Some of the most spectacular walks of the Cote d'Azur are all on the doorstep.

The beaches of Juan les Pins, Antibes, Golfe Juan and Cannes are within 30 mins drive from the villa. Pebble beaches in Villeneuve Loubet near Marineland.

Distances: The nearest village is the village of Valbonne at 5 mins drive from the villa. Valbonne has lots of good restaurants, terraces, banks, a postoffice, shops and boutiques. A weekly market on friday. Driving into the other direction is Biot at 10 mins drive. Well known for its glass blowing. Cannes is at 25 mins drive. Guestbook comments from the manager

We cannot stop talking about the wonderful experience we had, two weeks holiday at this beautiful Bastide homestead villa in summer 2014, I keep thinking of what great holiday our family had, we can thoroughly recommend. We arrived and were met by Jo, one of the most accommodating and helpful people imaginable, nothing was a problem. This much loved home has attention to detail in every way, antiques, pots and knickknacks from around the Med. This stunning property offers everything for our large family, great for family barbeques by the pool or more sophisticated family gatherings, what an unforgettable couple of weeks. There were days we did not want to leave the house, it was just too peaceful lying by the pool and enjoying the ambience this house exudes. When we did venture out, everything was in close proximity from supermarket to restaurants and the wonderful Antibes and Nice markets not to be missed and of course the surrounding villages of St. Paul de Vence, Valbonne and many others. Also close by Cannes and Eze, even the Italian border not far. We can highly recommend this property it is of the highest calibre.

South of France’s best kept secret ...

  • 5 of 5

6 of us (3 couples) stayed here earlier this year and we were all equally wowed by this beautiful home and grounds. Over the last 30 years we have all rented villas in various European and Asian countries, either with our families or on our own and we all agreed that this was the most beautiful and luxuriously equipped villa any of us had ever encountered. So many thoughtful little touches that can’t really be conveyed on the website.

To start the holiday smoothly by being met and shown around upon arrival is a great bonus and saves so much precious holiday time.

As well as being the most relaxing and gorgeous home to stay (we really felt like we were living in our dream home) it’s so well located – St Paul de Vence, Grasse, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Valbonne and their associated markets and of course Roquefort-Les-Pins itself.

My husband and I are going back later this year which has prompted me to finally write this review, I’m replaying our time there and just can’t wait to get back. This time we’re going with my parents – the beautiful self-contained ground floor apartment will be just perfect for my parents, with the advantage of internal access to the rest of the house. An extra bonus for us is that payment is taken in sterling not euros.

A Special Piece of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Arriving at this exquisite property is like arriving at a special piece of paradise in the most convenient location in Rochfort de Pins.

From the moment you arrive and are greeted by Joe (your personal valet) every thing is perfect.

Joe explains everything from the 2 kitchens to the superb BBQ area dining inside outside and on the verandahs...to local sites and restaurants the markets and of course the complimentary WiFi

Whether you just want to relax in the beautiful gardens with private crystal clear pool or experience the local attractions this property is perfect.

My wife and i stayed there 2 yrs ago with a like minded couple and had a ball.

We returned last year we loved it so much and intend do the same this year.

This property is ideal for the discerning traveller….

We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone…

Truly Exceptional Home

  • 5 of 5

We’ve had many holidays in great locations with all the necessary boxes ticked by the property we’ve rented but we can still miss the comforts of home and wonder why we’re paying to stay in an inferior bedroom to our own – This was Not the case with this absolutely wonderful home. The taste and décor are exquisite with lovely personal touches throughout. You really get a taste of the places the owners have travelled to and you feel like you're a guest in their home and they've just briefly popped out.

It’s generously furnished, from towels to linen through to the kitchen, including a stock of spices – so thoughtful.

Photos really can’t do this beautiful home or its location justice, it commands spectacular sunrises, the light is incredible, veranda wonderful and like the whole house, the Venetian and Turkish quarters really have the most incredible attention to detail. The outside kitchen is an additional bonus and again, generously stocked with spices.

It doesn’t just stop there though - Jo the manager was such a reassurance, especially when our car broke down. Even if we spoke French it would have been a complete hassle to try to find a garage, so thank you Jo.

We can’t recommend it highly enough, we love to visit new places each year but with this utterly unique home we might just make an exception.

Super summer 09

  • 5 of 5

We spent a quiet, relaxing fortnight in this impressive family home. Initial impressions were that the description badly undersold the place. It is a well appointed villa with every kitchen appliance and utensil we could ever need. We had barbeques on the superb table under the arches, breakfasts on the terrace and dinners in the main sitting dining room. Everywhere you look there are places to sit and relax - loungers and hammocks by the pool; little tables tucked away in alcoves, under arbours, on the boule pit; armchairs in the living room and the library and a writing desk too.

It is well situated for driving up and down the coast between Cannes and Nice or into the hills to see Grasse and other beautiful hill towns.

The two teenage boys were happy with the wireless internet connection and if we'd thought about it I guess we could have taken our Sky card to use in one of the four boxes connected to widescreen TVs. Instead we watched a couple of the DVDs from the house and a couple of our own. Mostly we lounged about the place with drinks listening to the grasshoppers.

I think the description of the house has been updated now but it is still difficult to explain how comfortable it made us feel. Suffice to say we'd love to go back and chill out for another fortnight.
