Situated in the heart of Bordeaux, with a view over the 'fairytale castle' of Porte Cailhau, The Key to Bordeaux is very close to the river and the famous Place de la Bourse.

This two bedroom apartment is spacious (80 sq meters). There is one double bed in the main bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom, plus a fold-out day bed in the main bedroom which sleeps two. Amenities include an elevator, dishwasher and washing machine, Wi-Fi, Cable TV and free telephone calls to most countries.

The apartment is in a quiet street, very close to the river. In the surrounding area are numerous restaurants, cafes, wine shops and small boutiques.

To reach other areas in the city, you need only walk for a couple of minutes to the tram stop, and the line will take you to the main train station and many other significant locations in the city.

It is rare to find a spacious, two bedroom apartment that is so centrally located.

This apartment is in the same building and on the same floor as Bordeaux Place du Palais (#1094286) and the two apartments can be rented together to cater for a large family or group of friends.

The Key to Bordeaux is an ideal base for sightseeing. It is just a street back from the river, and less than two minutes walk away from the famous Place de la Bourse. Just around the corner from the apartment are wonderful restaurants bistros, bars and cafes, and there are many others within close proximity. Opposite the apartment building is a gelato shop and an excellent wine bar.

The apartment is also close to Rue St Catherine - the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe - museums, art galleries and the famous Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.

In the surrounding area open air food markets and antiques market are held weekly.

Further afield you can visit famous vineyards and elegant châteaux; pretty villages and the beautiful beaches surrounding the Bay of Arcachon.

Perfect place

The apartment is spacious and perfectly located. Everything you need is in the apartment and check in and check out so easy with Fleur’s help. We spent 2 weeks here and felt at home after 24 hrs. Didn’t want to leave!

Great find in great location

We stayed at this 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights in June which did not disappoint. The apartment itself is much larger than the photos portray and this was a nice surprise considering we were travelling with a 2 year old. The bedrooms are large with lots of space and are quiet even though the apartment is in the heart of a lively area. The kitchen was well appointed and ideal for what we were looking for. The bathroom was small and the shower older within the bath itself (minor point). The location could not be better - we loved this area with the cobblestone paths and lots of bars and cafes. Suzanna was great , timely in all responses and gave us an excellent recommendation for a car pick up (Chris) who went above and beyond what is expected of a car driver. We had a great time in Bordeaux and look forward to returning.

Fantastic apartment in the centre of Bordeaux

We absolutely loved Bordeaux and found the apartment fantastic - it was well kitted out, spacious and it's in a brilliant location. The lovely old building with its high ceilings and tall windows was a fantastic base.

It was great to be able to walk out from the apartment and be in the city centre straight away, and only a short walk to the tourist information office and bus station within 20 mins.

We loved the great little square practically next door to the apartment for coffees and drinks, lovely atmosphere.

It would be great to go back!

The Key to Bordeaux apartment is an ideal base for sightseeing. It is located in the heart of the historic center of the city, close to the Place de la Bourse, and just one street back from the river.

Within meters of the apartment building, along cobbled streets are top-class restaurants, as well as bistros, bars and cafes. There is even a gelato bar and great little wine bar right opposite.

The linear park along the river front is within metres of the apartment, and is a hive of activity - walking, cycling, picnics on the grass, dance classes, and frequent markets. Every Saturday there is a huge open air food market at nearby St Michel, and on Sundays on along the riverfront is the biggest antiques market in the region.
