A wonderful house with well thought-out design. It has everything you need and even more) Location, cleanness, comfort... Everything was perfect. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends.
The apartment is lovely and well appointed, and we enjoyed the location. We had a nice dinner at the Moroccan restaurant a few doors down. The kitchen (including vegetables for ratatouille and wine), fireplace, and tv meant that it was a nice place to be for a long stay over Christmas. We rented both parts, which gave us plenty of space for our family of four. It's good to understand the layout- for us it was fine because we were comfortable going through the studio bedroom to the bathroom- otherwise you have to go downstairs, which are tricky and tough on bare feet, so you'd probably rather not do it in the middle of the night. We had thought my older parents might join us; it wouldn't have been an easy place for them to manage. The folks we dealt with beforehand and checking in were helpful. However, the studio bed definitely had bed bugs. I realize that's a risk of the travel world, and it certainly wasn't because the place wasn't clean, but I was disappointed in how they handled it. I told the on-site manager (David) and the woman with whom we made the reservation (Michelle) and did not get a response other than "That's never been a problem" and "I'll talk to the owners." It was a huge hassle for us to do what we needed to do protect our home (including a chunk of time and money in a laundry mat and bagging our luggage and other unwashable items). In addition, we discovered that our daughter is allergic to the bites; she had huge bumps all over her face and body, and had to go to the doctor for prescription medications to get the reaction under control. We left on 28 December and the bites are now finally going down and are less itchy (10 days after we checked out).
Great place and convenient location. Nice bright apartment. All positive except two things: Front door lock is tricky to operate. Not everyone was able to open it. There are two beds set up and one sofa bed but actually there was only one real bed. The other one was also a sofa bed, and obviously not as comfortable as a real bed.
We have stayed at Atelier twice in the last two years, each time was fantastic. The apartment is well maintained and perfectly located near major attractions. The metro station is a block away. The grocery store is a block away. There are about 10 restaurants within a few steps, all very good. There are markets for bread, fruit and cheese nearby. The apartment kitchen is as nice as you will find anywhere, and very large. You have every amenity and appliance possible. The apartment is spacious and quiet. We could not have asked for better accommodations or service. The manager David will tell you all you need to know and is available by text/email 24-7. My family gives this rental 5 stars and we'd give it a 10 if that were possible. We hope to return as soon as possible. Enjoy!
Wonderful apartment beautifully appointed perfect for those looking to experience Paris as lived by Parisians. Great markets nearby for produce, meats, fish and wine. Lovely spacious public rooms for relaxing and entertaining. Great property manager available to take care of any issues that may arise. Would return in a minute. Bonus: When we arrived there was a gorgeous basket of fresh vegetables, bread and wine sitting on the counter so we could toss together a nice meal without having to leave the premises. Bravo!
We rented this apt. for 4 nights in July. It was beautiful and so convenient to everything. The restaurants in the area were fantastic! The property manager, David, was excellent and very accommodating. Beds/bedrooms were all very comfortable. Loved having a washer and dryer. The only draw back was the time we were there, it was very very hot and there were no fans to alleviate the heat. I would highly recommend this apt. to anyone traveling to Paris. Fits 6 people very comfortably.
I found this beautiful apt through a good friend who had stayed here on a visit to Paris with her husband. It was all I had hoped for and then some!
To begin, all of my emails and questions were answered immediately by the delightful owner, Michael. On one occasion he even called me! I was really
appreciative of his timely responses.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the property manager, David, who showed us through the apartment and welcomed us with some lovely fresh vegetables! Since I was traveling with my sisters it was nice to know that he lived nearby in the event we needed anything.
The photos of this apartment are spot on! It has an amazing modern kitchen, spacious living area (with a gas fireplace) and a very large bedroom with a really comfortable king bed. There is a beautiful iron spiral staircase to the bedroom area. The sofa downstairs opens to a sleeper which we did use. We particularly enjoyed having such a nice space to come home to at the end of our busy days sightseeing. We were there for 2 weeks and this really felt like a home.
The apartment was very clean and we did not want for anything! The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils etc. and there were plenty of bath towels. We did also make use of the washer and dryer. (They have a nice binder in the apt. with instructions for the appliances as well as other information). There are plenty of electrical outlets, an iron and board and hair dryer. Also, lots of natural light from the very large windows and plenty of indoor lighting as well.
The location is excellent for getting around and we were very close to the nearest Metro stop. The entrance is on a very small side street. There is a grocery store right near the Metro stop which was very convenient.
We did have dinner at Derriere which is just a couple of doors down and it was delicious! You definitely need to make a reservation. Around the corner on the next block there is a wonderful coffee spot called Loustic..amazing coffee!
I would definitely recommend this apt. to friends and family. In fact, I hope to be going back myself one day!
'Le Marais,' which means 'the marsh, bog or swamp!!” is the heart of historical Paris. It sits between the Pompidou Centre to the southwest, and almost as far north as Republique. You'll find the Picasso Museum on its eastern edge and the Seine at the southern border. (These areas are all within 10 minutes walking distance.) Most of this now protected district was built in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is one of the most fashionable districts, and one of the most expensive to live in too. Full of museums and beautiful buildings and mansions, the quarter is lively thanks to countless bars; cafes and restaurants open all year long. It is in this quarter that you can stroll down the beautiful quaint streets seven days a week. This area is also still a major centre of the Paris Jewish community where delis and bakeries sell kosher food and fallafels. Just nearby is the rue des Francs Bourgeois possibly one of the most famous streets in the ' Marais’ and the heart and essence of the quartier. The atmosphere most probably the most unique in all of Paris.
Perfectly located close to the famous 'Marché des Enfants ' where the locals do their shopping and where you can buy gourmet food at reasonable prices.
The famous “Notre Dame' situated on an island on the river Seine is a mere 15 minutes away on foot and can be seen from the end of the street. Metro connections are in abundance with the nearest being only 150 yards away.
