A rare opportunity :

This 2 bedroom apartment is located in the best location in Saint Germain. The location is incredible : it stays a few steps away from the Saint Sulpice square, its great fountain and renamed church as well as the Luxembourg garden and its greeneries. Nice and luxurious shops and restaurants are nearby. The saint germain corner is 2 mn walking distance.

Until end of century 17th it was the location of the church and convent of the Jesuits designed by the architect Mansart and ordered by the son of Henri the 4th.

From 1st January 2019, minimum stay applicable is 12 months (1 year). Please contact us for more information.

This wooden floored 2 bedrooms apartment hosts up to 5 guests. It is located on the 3rd floor of a stone building with elevator. It has been recently refurbished and is very nicely designed.

Views from the windows open on a charming courtyard and the Parisian zinc roofs. The landing of the 3rd floor is particularly charming with is nice black and white tiles and many greeneries surrounding the window opening on a courtyard.

• One enters the apartment directly in the living area.The living room offers TV, table for drinks, paintings on the wall, a nice small sofa and a larger one. The large sofa is in fact a truckle bed that can easily be turned in a double bed with mattresses of top-quality. From the window, one views Parisian roofs up towers of the Saint-Sulpice church.

• Directly on the left of the entrance is a good size, fully equipped kitchen. It opens on the living room with the bar table. This open link between the living room and the kitchen gives a great feeling of space. It allows for one to work in the kitchen while exchanging with guests / family in the living area.

• On the right side of entrance one finds the master bedroom. It offers the queen size bed, large dressings, arm chairs and is decorated with paintings. Its window also provides a view on the roofs and church. It is next to the bathroom.

• The second bedroom is located on the left of the living room. It is a bedroom with a single bed, a small table for office, and dress closet.

• Toilets stand by themselves on the very left of the apartment

The Neighborhood :

One cannot dream of a better location with the choice of shops, restaurant and bars. More over many museums and historic places are nearby reachable at walking distance – Saint Sulpice church, Musée du Luxembourg, Pantheon, The Louvre, Odeon Theater, Notre Dame Cathedral.

You will find a mix of cultural attractions, hype bars and night life, fancy clothes stores and traditional architecture. The “Seine” is 3 mn walking distance. In summer, enjoy the “Paris plage” attraction when the Seine banks are transformed in sand beaches and cultural attractions (music, sports , events …).

Transportation is easy and very convenient. The apartment is situated within 2 or 3 minutes walking distance from métro stations Saint-Sulpice, Mabillon, or Sèvre babylone. Located in the center of Paris, you will be at 10 mn of most of the interesting spots, Saint Germain, Quartier Latin, Iles Saint Louis, Montmartre.

Gem in great location

Our seven nights in the apartment were terrific. I stayed with my two teenagers and there was enough room for them to have their space yet we were all together. It was intimate but not cramped, although I really don't see the apartment realistically sleeping 5. It was blissfully quiet and a great location. Many busses stop at Saint Sulpice and a number of metro stops in close distant. Check in and apartment use instructions were so clear and easy. It was hot when we arrived but the fans and open windows took care of that. The few bumps we had were quickly addressed by the agent. The neighborhood is lovely for walking and shopping. We liked the local PizzaChic restaurant around the corner though chic did not mean cheap. Cafe Madame about three blocks away was easy and good with kids. Without hesitation I would stay here again.

Great Paris apartment

Great little apartment in great location! Nearby shops, restaurants, short walk to the river and nearby Luxembourg garden/park is wonderful. The unit is on the small side, but comfortable. Could be a little warm in the heat of summer, we were there in early June and needed fans to stay cool.

Perfect apartment in a fantastic location.

The apartment was well outfitted with all you need in Paris traveling as a small family. Close to groceries and bakeries, and shopping. And of course, the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens and park. We highly recommend this spot.

Great location, but considering the price, there are some issues

The apartment is clean and is located in a wonderful part of Paris, very close to the subway, Luxembourg gardens and tons of great shops and restaurants. You will not be greeted upon your arrival and the instructions to enter are long and involved, but work. However, keep this in mind if you are either arriving at night or arriving very tired and jet lagged.

The listing for this apartment is for up to 5 guests, but it would be very crowded with 5. We were 3 total and found ourselves a little cramped. The photos do make this apartment appear larger than it is. Some feedback for the owner includes the following: Offer your guests coffee/tea and enough basic supplies for a short stay (not sure if this is required by VRBO, but other places I have stayed through this booking service accommodate guests this way). We found a total lack of even the most basic supplies and had to run out to purchase the following: Hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels and coffee. We noticed that some of the blankets and towels were old and some of the blankets stained.

There is no AC in the unit and in the dead of summer, this apartment would be very hot, as it faces an inner court yard and air circulation is not great. We did notice two new fans bought for the apartment, but the front, eastern facing room (living area) is lacking a proper window covering and anyone sleeping in the front living area will be woken by the sun very early in the morning. We notified the property manager about this and they were not able to remedy this issue during our stay, therefore, the person sleeping on the sofa bed had an uncomfortable stay.

Owner's Response: Hi Stephanie, Thanks for your comments and nice to hear you found the apartment to be clean and in a great location. Our check in system is most often praised by our guests as it allows, as you underline it, to check in or out even at night time which is quite rare. It also avoids waiting because of traffic, delayed planes and so on. As you say, it works. The apartment is considered of a very good size in Paris for a family of 3 persons. Square meters are very expensive in the center of the city. It can be surprising for people used to very big spaces. For short stays, It fits for up to 5 persons. The 2 last persons being hosted in the comfortable convertible sofa bed in the living room, we wouldn’t advise to rent it for 5 for a long period. I understand you would have liked more supplies. We obviously provide the basic for arrival, but once in the apartment do as if they were home and have to buy consumables. We are offering apt rental, not hotel service. Many guest stay a few weeks or even month and it would be logistically difficult and very expansive for guests. A.C. is very uncommon in Paris, weather is generally mild and heat waves very short). As you mention we provide 2 fans for the rare cases heat is high. On your next trip to paris, please mention you would like an apt for 5 persons with 3 bedrooms, we will be happy to offer one as obviously they feel more roomy that the 2 bedrooms with sofa beds. This was the perfect place to stay in Paris. Close to the metro and all the sites but far enough away that you didn’t feel like a tourist. The bells of St. Suplice are beautiful sand a wonderful way to know when to get up. If you have kids the jardin de Luxembourg is right down the street with an awesome playground. We would stay here again on our next trip.
