Nicely designed third floor apartment with high ceilings, located in a beautiful former 1800's Bank Building from the Victorian era, overlooking a park and the historical Smithfield Market. The apartment has a bright living room with lots of light, a kitchen area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

The location also has the fantastic fine dining and cafe culture of Smithfield and Clerkenwell on its doorstep with traditional pubs, Michelin-starred restaurants, many cafes and great options for family or late night dining. It is a perfect location for enjoying London, with all the famous landmarks very nearby. Museum of London and the original Roman city walls are 4 minutes walk away, St. Pauls Cathedral just 600 meters. A short walk further brings you across the Millennium footbridge over the Thames to the Tate Modern Museum and attractions near London Bridge and Tower Bridge.

For transport, it is 3 minute walk to both Barbican (180 m) and Farringdon Underground Stations (3 min), very close to St Paul's station and has direct links to Luton, Gatwick, Stansted and Heathrow airports.

Culture and Attractions: You will enjoy the many cultural attractions nearby, including Barbican Center for Theatre, Art and Dance - Europe's largest multi-arts venue and home to the London Symphony Orchestra is a 3 minute walk (300 meters); British Museum, Portrait Gallery, and many other venues within minutes. Perfect location, clean and stylish space, exactly as pictured and described.

Rolf was the perfect communicator from the start and everything ran smoothly from the beginning to the end of our stay! We felt so comfortable and relaxed in the flat and it was perfect, even for our two teenaged sons. Rolf and Mok were also sweet enough to allow us a couple extra hours as our flight was a late one!! We honestly didn’t want to leave!

Being right beside Smithfield Market did prove to be a bit noisy on the Thursday evening (car horns honking for a bit in the middle of the night) but all was incredibly quiet for the rest of our stay. Ear plugs would do the trick, but it all added to the charm :)

Would absolutely stay again and can’t wait to do so!

Great little place in a great locaion

The apartment is lovely in its furnishings and very comfortable. It was a little tight for me and my two grown girls, but with the trundle beds, everyone got a comfortable bed for the night. The location was great, being very close to two tube stops and numerous places to eat. Mok was fantastically responsive to our few questions and I would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

Central, bustling city location - fun and energetic

We had a great time. Apartment was in a bustling neighborhood right next to Smithfield’s meat market - yes there was a lot of action at night (I noticed on my first night with my jet lagged state. But second night with ear plugs and the double pane windows I slept just fine.). Apartment met our needs as a safe retreat and we usually had breakfast there. Everything went smoothly, getting into the place & finding it was easy. Fun pubs and restaurants right downstairs. Beds were fine. Nice bathroom and shower was awesome. Thank you!!

Very nice apartment but there's one thing you need to know.

This apartment was everything the owner said it was. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, nice bathroom and kitchen area. Close enough to most of the attractions of London that we usually walked. Owner was helpful with directions and instructions. Lots of cafes, pubs, and the tube station close by. What you probably should know though is that during weekdays workers begin making noise in the street below your window at 4 am; and on weekends the music and partying in the two pubs below your apartment goes on until 2 am.

Great apartment

I would recommend this apartment. In a great location close to the tube and close to St Paul's Cathedral. Also close to several really good restaurants. The beds were comfortable and clean. Any problems with the flat and Mok and Rolf are quick to solve them.

Great apartment but noisy location

The apartment is great. Met Mok the night we arrived and he was helpful and attentive. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from St. Paul's Cathedral and near a number of coffee shops, pubs, and restaurants. The challenge is that it is also right across the street from Smithfield Market which is active until the wee wee hours of the morning. And when I say active, I mean noisy...earplugs a must.

The communication with Rolf and Mom was excellent and they left a great set of instructions for accessing the apartment, etc. The 3 stars is only due to the noise Sunday - Thursday from Smithfield Market (It is closed Friday and Saturday)...the flat itself is a 5.

Car: not necessary

Excellent family and Michelin-starred restaurants, very old pubs, cafe's, late-night dining plus a perfect starting place to see London. Very easy access to transport with direct train to several airports, three underground stations within minutes, walking to major sights.
