Lovely Stay at Seal Rock Cottage
Our stay at Seal Rock Cottage was (too) short, but perfect. We loved the cottage and the serene location. The views leading to the cottage - and at the cottage - were incredible. The owners were very responsive to our inquiries prior to our arrival, and check-in was seamless. The information manual for guests was especially helpful and complete - with both useful household information, as well as suggestions for activities, eateries, and lovely drives along the Ring of Kerry. We highly recommend Seal Rock Cottage!
Co. Kerry home on the sea
Very remote but nice and quiet for those who want to be well away from it all. Best & most comfortable beds in Ireland! Pretty view of the sea with lovely landscaping as foreground.

Beautiful and Remote
A Beautiful home in a beautiful location. It is remote and not the easiest location to find but the owners directions were very helpful and this is my second visit to this home so I would obviously come back again. If you want to be in a city center this is not the place for you but if you don’t mind a short drive you will be in Kenmare in 20 minutes where there are some really wonderful restaurants for foodies and the people are lovely! The Bay views from this home are nothing short of amazing and a brisk walk up the lane to the main road provides your morning exercise and even more stunning views. The home is absolutely beautiful and the beds are luxurious!

Stunningly Beautiful Location
I cannot speak highly enough about the setting of Seal Rock Cottage. It was peaceful, beautiful, and such a special place to call "home" on our vacation to County Kerry.
The cottage itself was quite comfortable and well equipped. We didn't have any trouble locating it and used it as a launching pad to explore other areas of the county. It was about 20 minutes away from the charming village of Kenmare which had everything we needed if we felt like going out.
Jane and Michael made our stay as seamless and easy as possible and were excellent hosts. My only suggestion would be to have the cottage a bit cleaner upon arrival. We used the kitchen and thought it could have been a bit cleaner and the floors could have used an extra sweeping by the curtains in the family room but overall we were quite pleased and I would very highly recommend this place to anyone desiring a relaxed vacation in one of the most beautiful places you can find. I am very happy we chose Seal Rock for our holiday stay.

We really loved our stay at Seal Rock Cottage on Rossmore island. Beautifully decorated cottage with well equipped kitchen. Gorgeous view!! Highly recommend it.

Wonderful Home with Stunning Views
This is a great property. The house is decorated so nice. Spacious and well thought out. The views are amazing. The wifi was great. The owner is wonderful to deal with and got back to us straight away with questions. We travel a lot and stay at lots of homes and this is in our top 5. Stunning! Not to be missed!

Rossmore Island lies 5 miles from Sneem and 11 miles from the gourmet town of Kenmare. Beyond the nearby McGillycuddy’s Reeks lies the famous lakes and town of Killarney – a mere one hour’s drive. Also within 90 minutes are the world class golf courses of Tralee, Ballybunion, Dooks, Waterville and the Ring of Kerry (10 minutes)
The region has unequalled scenery, where the beauty of mountains, sea, lakes and woodland can be seen in varying light and shades whatever the weather. Because the shore is washed by the Gulf Stream, the area enjoys a mild climate where tropical plants flourish outdoors.
The Ring of Kerry follows the coastline and is one of the most dramatic scenic drives in the country. A multitude of interests and activities are available including walking, riding, cycling, canoeing, fishing, boating and golf. Guides & Ghillies can be arranged. Nearby Kenmare is renowned for its fine dining restaurants and music-filled traditional pubs and is a mere 15 minutes away.
Golf: There are many world class golf courses in the vicinity - Ring of Kerry Golf Club is a 15 minute drive and Kenmare Golf Club a 20 minute drive from the cottage. The courses at Killarney (venue for the 2011 Irish Open) and Waterville are also within a reasonable distance.
