home away from home

We were a group of 6 adults just getting away for a weekend with good friends, playing games, and enjoying good good and beverages. Kim and Jim were wonderful hosts and were immediately available to trouble shoot a couple questions we had. We took a lovely walk into town one evening to enjoy an amazing prime rib dinner at Mohican Tavern topped off at the local ice cream store. Then it was back to playing games and relaxing at the house. Will definitely consider to return next year. (and did I mention we loved, loved the decor in the house) Thank you Kim and Jim!

Kim was very helpful getting everything set up for us. The house was roomy and very clean. Linens were fresh. Location was perfect - able to walk to go canoeing, shopping, walking and many other activities. Will recommend to others. Thank you

While the 6 of us were there to hunt, we were not enjoying the house as some would expect. After we made supper we sat around and shared a few stories of the day. We hit the sack early as we got up before the chickens or sunlight and then we spent the whole day in the woods. We were comfortable for the time we did spend in the home. We all agreed we liked it and we will be back again next year.

Pleasant Home in Central Location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this home from a Friday to Sunday evening with several other couples. The house was very clean and decorated so nicely that it felt like it could be your own home. There was plenty of space and the property was well maintained. It is in a great location very close to the canoe liveries and downtown shops and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed!

The only thing I would note is that there is no grill or fire pit. We made it work with a portable grill :) But I would suggest getting these in the future because it was great for summer.

Overall, we had a wonderful trip and experience and I would definitely stay here again!
