Zeytin Agaci (The Olive Tree), pronounced 'Zaytin Aarjer', is located amidst olive groves overlooking Kalkan with spectacular views of the Mediterranean, Taurus Mountains and coastline. It is perfect for those looking for a tranquil holiday retreat. Local shops, bars, cafes and restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the villa: Kalkan's picturesque harbour is less than a ten minute stroll. The villa is built on four floors and has its own private swimming pool, set in a sunbathing patio. The accommodation comprises two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms (all with air-conditioning) plus three sofa-beds for additional flexibility. Two bathrooms, a separate WC and a modern kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine) complete the interior which is stylish and comfortable. There is a flat-screen TV with satellite reception, DVD player and wi-fi. Simple white walls and marble floors give a cool and airy feel on hot summer days. Ample outdoor spaces include a ground floor terrace, the pool area and a panoramic roof terrace all combining to provide total flexibility - ideal for families or friends sharing.

About Inge Gray
Inge is Dutch, Jerry English and the boys between the two...
Inge Gray purchased this Villa in 2014
Why Inge Gray chose Kalkan
Jerry's dear school-friend Ed bought the villa off plan, and we started visiting every year shortly after it was completed. We fell in love with it and Kalkan, and when Ed decided to sell, in we dived.
What makes this Villa unique
The location is spot on: just out of the bustle of town, so high enough for the wonderful views. Most importantly, it is a five minute walk into the town centre and all the wonderful restaurants, shops and bars. Therefore, not too strenuous a climb back and no need of car or taxi. Aperitifs on the roof terrace cannot be surpassed! It is spacious and comfortable, with swimming pool, BBQ, aircon in each room and wifi. It also sits between two olive groves, affording more than usual privacy. And we have lovely people to look after you during your stay.

Tranquil escape with stunning Mediterranean views
We've just returned from a 10 day retreat at Zeytin Agaci and what a time we've had! The Villa provided the perfect home from home, everything we could ask for and more - I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Perfectly located, a 5 minute stroll to the Old Town and Harbour, the Villa is quietly tucked away from the buzz of the town. Inside, the Villa provides everything you could require to feel at home from the instant you walk through the door - comfy beds, powerful showers, AC everywhere. However, it’s the outdoor spaces that make Zeytin Agaci truly spectacular. The private pool and courtyard, soaked by the Turkish sun from sunrise to sunset, is ideal for lazing the days away. After a hard day of tanning by the pool, the dining terrace provides a shaded retreat for chilling out and barbequing. The most stunning space is the roof terrace with unrivalled views of Kalkan and the bay; there is no better place in Kalkan to watch the sunset over the hills.
If you can draw yourself away from the Villa, Kalkan has so much to offer everyone. Every restaurant in town offers delicious food, a friendly welcome and incredible value – it would be unfair to name a favourite. Take your pick from the freshest fish dishes, authentic kebabs or fine steaks. After dinner, losing track of time if easy, sipping cocktails and chatting away at any of the bars in town, Moonlight and Mini-Bar particular favourites of ours. The town and harbour always has a lively buzz, the charming locals creating a wonderful atmosphere.
As a change from days by the pool the local beach clubs provide the perfect place to relax, sun bath and snorkel in crystal clear waters. An absolute must is a visit to the Hammam for an indulgent Turkish bath and massage – our visit to Atlantis on the first day provided the perfect start to unwind on holiday. Finally, the gem of the holiday was our private boat trip aboard Sunset 2 - excellent diving locations, stunning views and a chance to drift away on the Mediterranean.
An excellent holiday at an excellent Villa, a big thank you to Jerry and Inge for providing us with the perfect getaway. We shall definitely be returning!
Thanks so much Phillippa and Tom for this review. We are delighted you had a lovely time and we look forward to welcoming you again.

A gem! Extremely well located!
We are recommending this villa to friends and colleagues. Inge recommendations were faultless. I would add that it is a MUST to go for a swim in the morning at the Kulube and then had lunch in the restaurant (public beach next to the Kalamara beach)
Ismail attention was superb and his restaurant has the 2 nd best view... the first one is at the terrace of the villa!!!
We ll remember this holiday for long time...
Thank you very much for the review and suggestions. We will follow your suggestion for the early morning swim when we go out at the end of the month
Everything you could ask for
This beautiful spacious villa delivers on all aspects. 4 large bedrooms, a picturesque pool area and a balcony with breathtaking views are just a few of the villa's highlights.
The local shop is just a 5 minute walk away, as are a number of bars and restaurants.
The local area has a little something for everyone. There are a host of great restaurants and bars by the harbour. Again they are a short walk from the villa.
The sandy beach is a short taxi ride and the beach club (equipped with trampoline & jet skis) is a 10 minute walk away.
All in all, I would recommend the villa & the destination to anyone. The locals are friendly & welcoming & there really is something for everyone. I will definitely be returning.
Thanks for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope you will return soon.
Comfortable, well equipped villa in agreat positio
This is a very comfortable, well equipped and well maintained villa, a short walk from the port area of Kalkan with a great choice of places to eat and drink.
A delightful villa in beautiful surroundings
We are very happy that you found it to your liking: please do return.
First time, fantastic impressions! Perfect escape!
First time in Kalkan, first time at Zeytin Agaci and what a brilliant place to visit! Everything you could ask for!
A short stroll away from the main village, the Villa is the perfect destination for a sunny retreat. The roof terrace has flawless views stretching from the hills, to the village and across the bay to the Med... the ideal setting to catch the late evening sun. Inside the villa is immaculate, comfortable and spacious. Enough space to have your own retreat whilst the dining terrace and pool area are ideal for groups to relax in the sun with a cool drink.
If you can pull your self away from the amazing views of the villa the short stroll into the main village is well worthwhile. The locals are charming and friendly (especially Dee at the Lime Restaurant) and make you feel welcome and at home. If you wish to try the local Trukish food the Menemen is a must, along with any of the daily caught fresh fish (particularly Cupra!). After dinner drinks by the harbor is a must, Trio a particularly relaxing (and lively) venue where you can watch the world go by and the staff go out of their way to please!
If late night drinks are your thing Mojito and Chocolate are lively enough to keep the youngsters happy with a great mix of locals and visitors in attendance.
All in all a fantastic Villa paired with the ideal location for a sunny getaway! Kalkan has something for everyone and I will definitely be visiting again! A big thank you to Inge and Jerry for sharing your beautiful escape with us!
We are so pleased you had a good time and we will be delighted to welcome you back to Zeytin Agaci in future.
Myself and a group of friends had a lovely week in Kalkan at the Villa Zeytin Agaci. The villa was very clean and spacious, with amazing views from the roof terrace.
It is in a great location, just a short walk away from a good selection of restaurants and bars.
The weather was amazing, with the private pool and local beaches offering the perfect place to relax and take in the sun.
Thanks very much Mike; so glad you had a good time.
The enchanting harbour village of Kalkan, with its own sand and pebble beach and a number of beach clubs with various watersport attractions, is one of the most beautiful locations along Turkey's stunning Lycian Coast. With the complete absence of mass tourism, Kalkan remains a charming and unspoilt haven with crystal clear sea, historic architecture, ancient history and warm traditional Turkish hospitality. The many places of interest nearby include the gorge at Saklikent, the architectural site of Xanthos and the sunken city of Kekova. A 15 minute drive from Kalkan is Patara; an 18 km stretch of golden sand where turtles lay their eggs at night and the site of a Roman port with attendant wonderful ruins, including a complete amphitheatre and triumphal arch. Just behind Kalkan are the mountain villages of Berzigan and Islamlar where wild tortoises are seen during the Spring and the only traffic jam will be the goat herds. There are trout farms in the hills where you can choose your fish for a delicious grilled lunch. Visit Kalkan for the first time and you will quickly fall in love with its old-style charm and gentle rhythm; it is unlikely to be your last visit.
