12 of us stayed here for 2 nights and the place was just wonderful. It was cleaned to perfection and we couldn't see one spot which was missed or dirty. Linen was absolutely clean and fresh and overall decor of the house was very warm and inviting. It seemed to be kept as if the owner lives there and not as if the house is meant for renting out.
There is a small ski slope nearby which is perfect for beginners, and the town has some nice restaurants and grocery stores. We really had a lot of fun, and look forward to staying here again soon!
We stayed at the Jeffersonian during a family reunion in the area. There were 12 of us in all from great grandparents to a one-year old. The house is terrific. It was built in the early 1920s, has front and back stairs... very cool. All the bedrooms have been updated and each has it's own television. The kitchen is really nice, completely remodeled. The pictures in the listing photos are very accurate. Renting sight-unseen is a little nerve-wracking. I was so pleased when we walked in and found the house to be so lovely. Once all 12 of us arrived, we took family photos in the living room.
Five of the bedrooms are upstairs and two down. Very comfortable beds. The great grandparents appreciated the easy access to the downstairs bedrooms. And clean? You bet, scrupulously so. One of my daughters is a major clean freak and even she remarked how clean the house was.
The owners were wonderfully responsive. We noticed the air conditioner in the bedroom my mother-in-law would be in squealed just a bit. I called Helen and had no sooner hung up than her son arrived and swapped it out for a new one. Thank you! and my mother-in-law loved her room.
I would absolutely stay at the Jeffersonian again, as well as recommend it to friends. Thank you for a great home!
