About Jenny Jones

We live on the Wirral and are passionate about Bryn Goleu. We have 3 girls who are now 24, 21 and 17 who have all got lovely memories of Bryn Goleu. We have owned the cottage for 9 years and have made many improvements. Each year we up-grade or improve an area of the cottage. We visit in school holidays and at least one weekend a month just for the break and to keep on top of maintenance and standards. We are always available to help with any minor problems you might come across.

Jenny Jones purchased this cottage in 2007

Why Jenny Jones chose Tudweiliog

The views. the peace, the space. A time to chill with either friends and family or just sometimes on our own. We love the Llyn and in particular Abersoch. We are amazed how many people come back to the area time and time again and have their own fond memories from their childhood. We have many returning guests year after year which is a testament to the quality of the property.

What makes this cottage unique

Spacious. Far enough from the maddening crown in summer but near enough to drive to within 10 or so minutes. A kitchen you will want to cook in just for the views, fantastic patio to sit with your glass of wine or cup of tea. Enough space to not feel crowded even when 8 guests staying and a beautiful inglenook log burner in the fantastic lounge.

Wow!!!!!! Beyond amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what a truly beautiful cottage.. Breath taking from the outside to the in.. The pictures do not do it any justice..

From the minute we opened the door we were completely in love.. If I could give 6 stars I would..

The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds are so comfy.. The kitchen is huge and a great room for entertaining with the built in stereo..

The views are spectacular, you can see the sea on a clear day..

I dont want to right too much as I think the surprise of the cottage is amazing, let's just say you will not be disappointed..

Really didn't want to leave..

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share your beautiful home...

We will most definitely be back

Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous holiday in Abersoch. Our stay at the cottage was fantastic.

The cottage was more than we expected,a fabulous dining kitchen where our grandchildren enjoyed helping make dinner at the breakfast bar, where there was the most fantastic views you can imagine from the window.

The lounge had the most comfy sofa which we all sank into in the evening.

Bedrooms beautiful, fabulous garden where we enjoyed barbecue and garden games and watching nearby sheep.

The cottage was impeccable and loved every minute of being there, our grandchildren loved it and didn't want to leave.

Thank you Jenny for a lovely stay.

Lovely cottage and garden, stunning views

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful, remote cottage; very comfortable and well equipped with not just the practical stuff, but home comforts too. We particularly enjoyed watching the birds in the garden, and topping up the bird feeder. It's a good spot to experience every type of weather, all in the same week or even day, but when the sun shines that patio is the perfect place to be. On a clear day we walked through the village and climbed up to the trig point on the hill you can see behind the cottage - it was no where near as difficult as it looks - and from the top we could see Anglesey, South Wales and Ireland (as well as the cottage itself). The driver of the Waitrose van was quite unfazed by the bumpy driveway (he had definitely been there before!) and good food was also to be had in Abersoch where we had a very good meal at 'Fresh'. If you want a peaceful getaway in a beautiful part of the world this is hard to beat.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Bryn Goleu. The walk up Carnfadryn on a clear day is one of our favourites. Yes, Waitrose and all the other delivery stores come to us regularly and the Welsh people are very used to the rural lanes in North Wales - but to us it is part of the beauty. Lovely to have you as guests.

Fantastic far reaching views

  • 4 of 5

The property description was exactly matched with what we found at Bryn Goleu. Jenny was extremely helpful and attentive before our visit and even when there was a small leak during our visit, workmen were organised by Bryn at no disturbance to us whatsoever. The proximity to Llanbedrog, Abersoch, Hells Mouth and Aberdaron is fantastic, although we did find the route to Abersoch along windy Welsh roads a little tiresome, even though we knew what to expect. The cottage was immaculate on arrival and all the linen was good quality. Our only minor recommendations are to replace the bathroom towels with new fluffy coloured towels (several provided were no longer that white, and a little scratchy), and damp has definitely penetrated the double room next to the front door - despite lovely smelling diffusers and it being super clean, the smell of damp is unfortunate. We loved the kitchen and all the convenient pantry items which took all the stress out of our arrival. We would definitely recommend the property to keen walkers, groups of friends and for family gatherings. All previous reviews are reliably accurate!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We are glad you found both Bryn and I helpful and you enjoyed the views from the cottage. The cottage is very rural but only 12 minutes drive down rural lanes to Abersoch which is the appeal for many guests. I am sorry you found a damp smell - we followed you in and could not find any damp or smell in any of the rooms so are a little confused. Regarding the towels as we did follow you in - I agree that the housekeeper had been line drying the towels which I had advised her to only tumble and as you could tell from the very high standards I had already re-washed and tumble dried 12 towels whilst I was there.
