About Vacasa, UT - Utah Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Guestbook comments from the manager

You couldn't ask for a better location. Central to the main downtown area and walking distance to Main Street shops, restaurants, drugstore, and my favorite place in Moab - Woody's! The house is on the end of the riverwalk as well, so you can go for a stroll and get around town that way. It's cute and very much original construction from the 1960's with its quirky fixtures. The central living area is great for groups with the floorplan being as open as it is. The parking area is plenty large for 2 vehicles and the landscaping is really nice with a comfy outdoor area to sit and enjoy the evening. The hot tub is very therapeutic after a long day of adventures, and yes, you're a little exposed to the road, but it's not a main road so it didn't bother us at all when we were in the tub. The washer/dryer in the house is also a nice perk! All in all it the price and location were just right for our group. I'd go back to this location for sure.

Great location

Everything as advertised. Short walk to downtown. Nice hot tub. When we needed a new gas bottle for the grill, it was delivered quickly. Would stay there again.

Cute house, great town

  • 4 of 5

A sweet modest house with attractive colors. We found it clean and cheerful and had a great time. The little faux wood stove was much appreciated during the cold spell.

Note that the fees really add up - maybe this is the case with all rentals, but check them first. The day rate can be misleading!

Also, the beds are incredibly creaky. I'd stay there again but only if the beds got fixed up.

Moab is a cool town - check out the bookstore, health food store, and local art. The surrounding natural areas are awesomely spectacular.

Cozy and comfortable place in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We were really happy with our stay at the Cottonwood Cottage. It's in a very quiet but central location which we really liked. It's well set up for a mountain bike base, with a bike shed, hot tub, and well-equipped kitchen. Be aware that the house is on the older side and needs some maintenance attention (some burned-out lightbulbs, ants in the kitchen, warped floors, broken washing machine). We loved our stay despite these issues, but some maintenance is needed if you are expecting a perfectly pristine house.

Owner's Response: This quaint little Cottage was built in the 50's and is centrally located in the heart of Moab. Since this home is so delightful, and always booked, we have had a difficult time getting our local contractors in to resolve some of the home concerns. We apologize for any inconveniences or concerns this has caused. The floors are scheduled to be trimmed in December. The owner has purchased a brand new washer and dryer which should be here any day. Unfortunately, due to our dry desert climate, we are constantly battling nature and the natural insect population. We strive to ensure our homes are free of pests and unwanted guests.

Cute, quiet and cozy place

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this cottage. Location is perfect and very quiet, and the house is equipped with everything you need for a great stay in Moab. Beds are comfortable and there’s a bike shed and private hot tub. A few maintenance items: oven light burned out, light over the kitchen sink burned out, and more importantly the washer is broken (inconvenient for a dusty mountain biking trip). Otherwise great, we’d love to stay here again.

Quiet, leafy house close to Moab centre

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for five nights while mountain biking, hiking and generally looking around. The house is down to earth and comfortable, with nature photographs on the walls, is very close to the town centre but one block from the main street with a garden and trees. Great place to stay.
