Tranquil Getaway in the Shenandoah River - A Hidden Gem

Our recent stay at this riverside property on the Shenandoah River was an absolute delight, offering the perfect combination of relaxation, natural beauty, and convenient amenities. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. Location The property is situated in a serene location right on the banks of the Shenandoah River. The views are breathtaking, with the river meandering peacefully and the lush greenery creating a sense of seclusion and tranquility. It's the ideal setting for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of ordinary life. With Berryville, VA not far away, there was easy access to great restaurants and shops. Accommodations The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy beds and a spacious living area. The interior decor had a charming, rustic feel, which complemented the natural surroundings. Large windows allowed for plenty of natural light and offered stunning views of the river. The property's outdoor amenities were a major highlight. We spent time on the deck overlooking the river while eating breakfast and dinner and enjoying the peacefulness of the scenery and feeling like we were secluded and away from everyone else. The interior was nicely appointed with new bathrooms, updated kitchens, and a warm and cozy atmosphere. Our evenings were comfortable and relaxing. Hospitality

Peaceful

Wonderful getaway right on the river. Peaceful with eagle, turkey, heron sightings. Took kayaks upstream to no-current side stream. Only 14 minute drive to Raven Rock trail (challenging). Host was always available although house was perfect.

Beautiful river cabin

This is a beautiful property! It is great for a small family, my daughter enjoyed the bunk beds. There is an outside playhouse that also has direct access to the water so caution with younger children. The view is spectacular with an amazing porch; we saw lots of wildlife and appreciated the binoculars. There is NO internet and that wasn’t particularly clear when booking, it said you can use your own hotspot but neither my nor my husband’s phone’s service was strong enough for a hotspot. Did not take away from our trip at all but might bother someone else. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.
