About Darrin and Jill Fuchs
We both moved from Southern California about 16 years ago and love it. We met in Boise and enjoy everything about the city and surrounding area. Hiking, biking, and just cruising down the green belt or to one of the many great and unique restaurants downtown.
Darrin and Jill Fuchs purchased this Cottage in 2004
Why Darrin and Jill Fuchs chose North End
The North End has so much character many, many architectural styles, great old trees and it is so close to the downtown area with all the great coffee shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The cottage is a bright, fun place to hang out with a number of patios to enjoy in the spring and summer. Comfort is important so we have paid attention to the details to make this feel like home. People have told us they enjoy staying in a unique home that reflects the character of the area. Vanilla chain hotels are just not as much fun and few come with a kitchen and bikes!
What makes this Cottage unique
Loads of charm in a great location... with the added bonus of a nice collection of paintings by local artists. Beauty inside and out.. it's a good thing. This is an old fashioned grid neighborhood with huge trees. It's fun to just walk around and take in the views. Vintage homes, parks and close enough to everything that you can park your car and walk to it all. You will not be disappointed in the dining offerings in downtown Boise. When was the last time you went to a show, had dinner at a great restaurant and then walked home at the end of the evening? Welcome to the North End lifestyle. We appreciate the little touches like Egyptian cotton towels and quality high thread count sheets when we travel so we have included these things at the cottage for our guests.

The cottage could not have been more perfect for our 7 night stay. Wonderful, historic, quiet neighborhood, all amenities as shown on website, clean as a whistle, tastefully furnished. Darrin & Jill were kind enough to meet us on arrival to tour us around the cottage. We texted them a few times and they always got back to us immediately. Great service and friendly owners! We put the bikes to good use, as well as enjoying the BBQ and outdoor eating area. This charming cottage is definitely where you want to stay when you visit Boise. Thanks for everything, Darrin & Jill!
Can’t wait to return
Loved the location. It was perfect for us. Great neighborhood for my morning walks!
Great stay at the North End Cottage
This was my first trip to Idaho, and this cottage was in the best location of Boise to access the city and several beautiful landscapes. The cottage could not have been more comfortable and accommodating for this trip. Jill stayed in great communication and really, the cottage was very well appointed for everything you need to cook and do laundry for a week long stay. I will stay here again.
The house was extremely clean and just really cute. Beautiful landscaping. The bed was very comfortable. We walked to everything downtown. The owners left us fresh flowers- it was our 17th anniversary. Make sure you eat at Fork and another restaurant is Juniper. Great coffee shops are Big city coffee and district coffee.
Clean and Fresh in a Great Location!
We stayed here during our trip to Boise and could not have picked a better location. Close to downtown in beautiful and quiet North End neighborhood. You must use the bikes and visit Boise's Greenbelt! We will stay here again
Perfect week in Boise at the North End Cottage
The North End Cottage is THE BEST place to stay while in Boise. Walking distance to downtown or North End shops/restaurants , close to two parks for picnics or entertaining kids, and such a quiet neighborhood! The house has everything two people need to be comfortable...comfy bed and fully stocked kitchen. There are two bikes, a grill and even a laundry room. We have already booked for the Christmas holiday.
There is a lot to see, do and eat in downtown Boise. You are a seven minute walk from the state capital and great restaurants, coffee houses and theater.
