We spend our time between London and Chamonix - as much Chamonix as possible! Nick is a photographer and Martha is a graphic designer.
Martha purchased this Chalet in 2006
Why Martha chose Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
After our first visit in 2002, we both fell in love with the Chamonix valley and its endless variety, dynamism and beauty. We felt at home the minute we walked into the chalet and it's worth is ready to welcome you too!
What makes this Chalet unique
Tucked away in its own little wood, but just a short walk from the lift and village, Chalet la Foret offers a wonderfully authentic Alpine experience, with all the comforts you'd expect. Few places in Chamonix have both seclusion and convenience!

Thank you Martha for the use of your chalet, it was fantastic and we enjoyed our time there so much.
You went above and beyond and generously gave my husband a lift to the medical centre.
I would recommend this chalet , it’s a fantastic place to stay
Wonderful Chalet Located right to the Flegere Gondola
The chalet provided us with everything we needed as a mixed group of toddlers to grandparents and couples in between. Martha offered a great range of baby equipment at no extra cost which was really helpful. The chalet was clean, very warm, and provided enough room and facilities that we were not on top of each other. Martha was a great host throughout!! Thank you x
Had a great stay. Very cosy. Perfect for two small families with two kids each.
Fantastic property in a wonderful setting. Every detail was just ideal for our family
The Chalet was just perfect and in such an idyllic setting. We relaxed as soon as we arrived and the location was an ideal place to access all that Chamonix has to offer. Martha and Nick have created a little corner of paradise and the Chalet itself is both beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated - down to every last detail!! We will definitely be returning!!
A very special place in a beautiful location.
The property is gorgeous. It is a very special place and I am sure is fab in the summer as well as the winter. Location- in the woods, so lovely. Fantastic bed linen and indeed beds.
Martha is a fantastic host and always answered every query immediately and was a great help with advice on slopes, hire of equipment, restaurants and more. The website in extremely comprehensive too.
Would love to stay there again.
Beautiful chalet in a beautiful location!
Martha was a fantastic host and really looked after us. The chalet is in a perfect location - a 20 min walk to the centre of Chamonix through woods and parkland and close to amenities of Les Praz with great views of Mont Blanc & Aguile du Midi. Chalet done to a very high specification. Lots of information in the chalet and from Martha on the many things to do in the area. We loved it and can't wait to go back! We would recommend to to anyone all year round.
A five to ten minute walk takes you to the ski lift, accessing the huge, varied ski area of Flegere and Brevent - Chamonix's sunniest slopes, linked directly to the town.
There are plenty of restaurants, some shops and several bars (including a great apres bar with relaxed live music) within about five minutes walk in the village, ranging from cheerful Italian pizzeria to superb French haute cuisine.
It's just 2km from the cosmopolitan centre of Chamonix by car, free ski bus, regular train or a pleasant level stroll along the woodland paths or a quiet road
In summer, some of the most spectacular mountain hikes in Europe can be started at the door, along with cycle trails for all abilities. The Chamonix golf course is just a short walk away.
South facing and sunny, the chalet itself is in a tranquil spot, set back from a small private road. From chalet, garden, balcony or hot tub, the views of the peaks - including Mont Blanc - are stunning in every direction
Other Activities: Climbing, rafting, hydrospeeding, canyoning, ziplining
Golf: Chamonix Golf course, an eighteen hole course with stunning views, is just a short walk from the chalet.
Ski: No need to get the bus - it's just a short walk to the lift accessing Flegere and Brevent, the sunniest areas of Chamonix. You can also ride down to Chamonix town centre from here. The free ski bus accessing the other ski areas stops at the end of the drive. There's a fantastic Apres bar on the way back from the lift station.
