Impeccable Home and Beautiful Scenery
This home was impeccable. The decorating had an ease and loveliness to it. We enjoyed the stay because it did offer the quiet neighborhood we were looking for as first-time Asheville visitors, not wanting to be in the middle of city life. Each day we saw a bunny or birds in the yard. The little decks are great to have coffee on or bbq. We did stretches and enjoyed the grassy field beside the house. The neighbors, though they are a bit close by, are not on top of you like we have at home so it felt private but not isolated. When we arrived, we had a little trouble with the key but our call was answered and we were assisted immediately. Connie was available by email with all of our questions, even providing some tips on places to go.
We didn't have any trouble with appliances or entertainment systems. The TV is an internet TV so I logged into my Amazon Prime and ordered videos and used Netflix as well. The internet was fast so I didn't have any problems with my devices either. We had an easy time getting in and out of Asheville to visit the River Arts District, Biltmore, The Arboretum, downtown, Organic Fest, and little trips just to drive through and see life in this area.
The price was good for this house and the 3 bedrooms each have a unique feel. Both beds we used were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and linens, though I may have needed more in winter since we're from Florida!
Overall, we had an amazing trip and this house was a big part of our experience.
Thank you for the awesome review and am so thankful you had a wonderful week in my home.
We had a great stay
The home is beautiful and had room for all of us! Very well kept and the host was so nice! I even left some of my stuff there and she shipped back to me within a day. Awesome place would recommend
Great house! Very well kept and in a convenient location.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was fantastic and very well kept. It was in good proximity to downtown and easy to get an Uber/Lyft to and from. Constance was also incredibly nice and pleasant to communicate with.
Our only complaint was the cleaning requirement seemed a little high since we paid a cleaning fee already (i.e. put new sheets on the beds and remake the beds, clean the counters with cleaning products provided, etc). This is a minor issue though.
Perfect Home for a weekend stay
We had a group of 10-12 adults for an annual friends tubing trip and this place was perfect! The home is clean and has a perfect floor plan to accommodate such a large group. We appreciated the extra beds in the basement (which my friends said were very comfortable!) and the large backyard. Some extra patio furniture would be nice but we made due.....the cornhole boards were a bonus! Great proximity to the river and downtown. We would definitely stay here again!
Thank you Brittany for your great review. I was notified just prior to your stay that some of the patio furniture had "gone missing"--so yo are right on the lack of seating. I will rectify that this week when I am up there myself to enjoy and little family tubing. Thanks and come again!
Home needs updates
This home was ok but some improvements could be made including large and small appliances as well as some extermination to rid the home of ants. The beds weren’t very comfortable as well.
The Spidles had a very stressful trip with their family member having a heart attack upon arrival. This review more accurately reflects their personal stress experiences and not my home. For example: I have a fully stocked kitchen with a toaster oven and microwave and keurig. What else would one need?
The house is great!! Great layout and location! The interior however needs a little TLC. Sofa had a broken leg when we arrived but it wasn’t a problem since we were never home. The basement has a serious humidity problem. 2 of the beds are actually not beds. One is a mat and the other is an air mattress. They have a loud dehumidifier that runs 24/7 and was reading 80% when I first got in. That and the water stains on the area rug deterred me from having anyone sleep down there. Again.... not a big deal since my family fit in the other bedrooms. GREAT BACKYARD full of fireflies. My young kids had a blast chasing them! The bathrooms are all nice with great water pressure. The kitchen was a little outdated and had a serious ant infestation. The floors were dirty and it definitely felt a little “used” when we arrived. We mostly ate out but literally anything left out on the counter over night was covered in ants in the morning. Orkin would be a good call.
Other than that this place is wonderful. I’d 100% stay again if they fixed their issues. Worth checking out! Cheers!!!
3 night minimum stay.
