A snug home full of charm, just a few tram stops away from the train station, in the historical centre.
A few steps away from the wonderful river banks (Les Quais), the restaurants are down the street and the cinemas are right next; everything is within reach whether you go on foot or by bike. The apartment, which was recently refurbished, is characterised by silence and its atmosphere of well-being that will make you feel at home.
The tourise office is also very close; it is the meeting/starting point for several walks and tours.
I am a former businessman; I enjoy meeting people coming from all around the world. Do not hesitate, and ASK ME: suggestions, information... mainly concerning touring, food and wine!
Loic de ROCQUIGNY purchased this apartment in 2012
I love this city as well as this region; I'd like to share all this with you. This apartment really was 'love at first sight'.
Great échauguette in stone, and a room 'among the stars', just under the roof! So magical!
Moreover, the district is quite commercial, cultural as well as full of moving and fun!
Very well appointed and comfortable apartment in the Saint Pierre district of Bordeaux. Air conditioning units in both lounge and bedroom. Amazing views from bedroom across the rooftops and very quiet with no noise. Very clean and well maintained. One of the best holiday apartments we have stayed in. Loic is charming and very helpful. Very close to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants and a carrfour supermarket. Easy 25 min. walk from train station or Tram C outside the station to Porte de Bourgogne will take you within a couple of mins. walk to apartment for only 1.5 euros. Sunday market at Quai des Chartrons where you can buy fruit, veg, meat, fish, cheese, wine, bread and roasted chickens. We would definately stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
Great location in the historic district. Easy walking to everything in Bordeaux. Conveniently furnished kitchen and modern appliances. Would catagorize this property as cosy, rustic, and historic vs. luxury elegance. Quirky sleeping and bath arrangement. Bedroom upstairs has nice shower and vanity, but toilette is downstairs off the living area.
We stayed 3 nights in September on our honeymoon. Loic picked us up at the airport and gave us all the information necessary for our stay. The flat was clean and had all the dishes, pots etc for us to make our own meals. There was however, no toilet paper or soap? I think it was just an oversight. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the apartment was at night. In the daytime the street out front is packed with people. So many bakeries, stores, shops etc right within reach. We never lacked for activities and were always happy to return to our little flat. I hope to return again to Bordeaux and would surely stay again in this fine flat.
A completely private home in the middle of the old town of Bordeaux, this is a gem of a destination. Well appointed and recently fitted out, the apartment is part of one of the older buildings.
Yes there are a few steps involved, but that more easily justifies enjoying the local food - the best of which is within an easy walk, no matter whether formality or something casual is needed. Once up the stairs to bed, the outlook over the city is your own. The bedroom is a garret and one of the highest points in the area.
The host is the equal of the venue. Welcoming and helpful, he made certain that we had our bearings, including pointing out the outstanding local cheese shop and bakery before leaving us to settle.
For the best experience of Bordeaux, this is the first step. Book this place!
Cosy ant quiet, in the historical center of the city of Bordeaux, close to the famous Quai along the river Garonne. Anything is close: great cheese shop, baker, pharmacy, typical gastronomic products, two small supermarkets and obviously several restrutants and French-style bistro. Also theaters, cinemas, museums. The marvelous and well known Rue Sainte Catherine is very close, it is the main commercial avenue of the city, you will find everything on it (fashion, computer, art, adornment for house, typical food,...)!
