This immaculate three- storey townhouse is situated centrally in the beautiful mountain village of Fornalutx which has been voted the prettiest village in the whole of Spain. A perfect base for a holiday to remember whether you are a keen walker or simply want to relax at the beach only a few minutes drive away. There is something for everyone. There are 6 good restaurants in the village itself as well as 3 bars, banks with cash point, small supermarket, pharmacy and gift shops. During the summer months, there is live music and dancing in the square where you can sample freshly cooked tapas, wonderful cocktails and a fine selection of outstanding Mallorcan wines. If you are lucky you may be witness to one of the many festivals which take place throughout the year. The property consists of a spacious entrada/dining room, a modern, well-appointed kitchen and utility room. There are 3 double bedrooms, living room, 2 bathrooms and a roof terrace with barbecue, summer kitchen and mountain views!

Wifi Internet access at the property.There is also satellite tv including; SKY Sports, BT Sports, SKY Movies channels and box sets as well as another 300+ channels.

About Neil and Julie

We are a family originally from N.Ireland but lived in England for the last 10 years. We came to Fornalutx on holiday about 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the village and the whole area. We purchased this property and holidayed here for the last 6 years but always had the desire to make Fornalutx our home. Since April 2013 after buying another house in the village we have been lucky enough to make our dream a reality.

Why Neil and Julie chose Deia - Soller Region

We bought this house because it is so central in the village. It is only a few steps from the picturesque placa with its bars and restaurants yet very peaceful as it is located in a pedestrianised old cobbled street. All the major renovation work had been carried out to a very high standard by the previous owners and the views from the roof terrace are stunning. The original features that have been retained and the quality materials used in the kitchen and bathrooms made it the only choice.

What makes this house unique

These can be summed up in simple terms: location, quality and comfort. With the added benefits of WIFI,numerous satellite tv channels, aircon, heating, a summer kitchen on the roof terrace and quality furniture and furnishings it is not surprising we have guests who return year after year. To put it another way, staying here is rehab for the soul!

We all thoroughly enjoyed staying in your lovely townhouse, it was a superb place to spend new year. We felt the details and photos on Owners Direct were a true representation of the townhouse, so no hidden shocks! It was also lovely and warm in the house. All in all a fantastic place.

The property is found in a pedestrian street 20 yards from village church and is reached by ascending about 30 steps form the square. It is on 3 levels. May not be suitable for elderly, families with toddlers, however babies are welcome. Cot and high chair are provided. Utility room is found in cellar with iron and board. Living room with comfortable seating for 6-8 people. Wide-screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player and selection of DVDs. Hot/cold air-conditioning. Overhead fan. Dining room has feature gas fire. CD player, selection of CDs and board games. Roof terrace has table with seating for 6 and beautiful mountain views. Large parasol. BBQ. Fridge/freezer, sink with hot and cold running water. Large basket to store items for outdoor eating. Breakfast on this terrace is divine! Cleaning and change of bed linen is at end of your stay.

We stayed in May 2009, and found the property to be of a very high standard, so close to the square and supermarket, furnished very 'french' style, just as I like, sky tv, loads of space, in very beautiful surroundings

Beautiful village location

Wow as soon as we arrived I wished we'd booked for longer, a real gem of a house in a beautiful location.

Everything you need with a welcome pack that had drinks and snacks to see us to the next day.

Nice Property

Neil & Julie were very sweet, we received a nice welcome basket & they were very helpful during Check In & during our stay.

Loved the rooftop terrace for BBQ's and living area was nice and bright, nice comfy Master Suite Bed. Loved Fornalutx, A not to miss, Quaint & Beautiful.

Stylish House in Fornalutx

The house was charming, beautifully appointed and exactly as described. Kitchen could have been cleaner though, but a minor gripe. The owner was very attentive and even dropped by to say hello, which was lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. However, not much chance of a relaxing lie in or peaceful breakfast on the roof terrace as serious building work going on in adjoining properties each and every day - I would check this out before booking again.

Unfortunately, when properties are in towns or villages it is inevitable that some works may occur which is beyond our control but nonetheless we don't like it to affect our guests relaxation. Charming Authentic Townhouse in a Perfect Location

Stayed here for 2 weeks in this 3 storey house very close to the centre of Fornalutx. It was a perfect location for a bit of rural Spain in a beautiful Village with easy access to Port De Soller (10 mins drive) which has a wonderful beach, beautiful Marina and great shops restaurants. Soller is also close (5 mins) and has a wonderful Church and square, very spanish and very charming.

However, we often cooked on the roof terrace which though not huge is plenty big enough with valley views. Lovely dinners and breakfasts. The house has been maintained and decorated with lovely taste and in a spanish style. Can't fault the place, we had a wonderful time there. Sometimes we just sat in Fornalutx Square and watched the world go by. The back drop of mountains is also a marvellous sight and the town itself has some wonderful restaurants and bars. There is much to do in Mallorca but we took it easy because the location was so good.

The listing is very accurate, the property was clean, customer service was great (really nice people). Would definitely recommend this for a holiday, either as a couple or with kids. Thanks Julie & Neil

A perfect place

This is our second stay in this perfectly located and beautiful, traditional Mallorcan town house. The house is literally off the market square where you can spend many a happy hour, sipping a glass of wine and watching village life. Superbly located for local walks and visits to Soller, Port Soller, Deia, Cuber Reservoir and easy access to roads taking you further afield. The house is perfect for our needs - comfortable, well-presented bedrooms and living room, 2 good bathrooms but best of all, the roof terrace with superb views. Fornalutx is unspoilt, welcoming and in a stunning location. Great restaurants from traditional (Es Turo) to fine dining (la Cuina D'en Marc) to the best pizzas we've ever tasted (Calzone Pizzeria). Many more and all good! We're already planning to return next year.

Fornalutx is a beautiful mountain village surrounded by well-signposted mountain walks to suit all abilities. We can recommend a guide if required. Cycle hire is available in nearby Soller 3km away. Segway hire is available at the Port de Soller. There is access to a pool in one of the village hotels for a small charge. A very good municipal pool is at the Paddle and Tennis club with clay courts found on the outskirts of Soller. The nearest sandy beach is Platja d'en Repic at the south end of Port de Soller - a beautiful bay lined with good restaurants, boutique hotels, marina and a good variety of shops. Daily boat trips and water sports from here. The village itself has a tennis court, table tennis, basketball and children's playground.

Take the old-fashioned tram from Soller to the port for a day's sunbathing or the antique train from Soller to Palma for a day's shopping/sightseeing. Son Termens golf course is a 20 min drive away. Soller 3km - Saturday market. Deia is 20km. Valldemossa 20km. Pollensa 50km - Sunday market.
