About the property

Tucked away at the end of the rainbow lies a sweet little cottage nestled amongst the trees and flowers. Escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature’s surrounds for a weekend away or maybe even stay a little longer. Take some precious time out for yourself or make some lasting memories with your partner or family at our property perched above Claustral Canyon on the top of Mt Tomah in the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

This spacious cottage has a cosy feel, boasts a fireplace and a deep luxurious bath. Wake up to birdsong, wander through the orchard or find your way along the path down into rainforest sprinkled with Tomah palms and ferns. You have the entire property to yourself. There is much to explore and many delightful surprises along the way which are sure to make your day anything but ordinary.

Rainbow Ravine Retreat is only 90 minutes from Sydney. There is plenty to see and do within the area. You may wish to have a relaxing afternoon drive tasting the local ciders, picking fruit at a local orchard, buying a delicious apple pie to pop in the oven when you arrive home or go bird and waterfall spotting on one of the many pristine hikes the National Park has to offer. The retreat is very close to the breathtaking Blue Mountains Botanic Garden which is certainly worth a visit. There are a few cosy and amazing restaurants nearby and the Mt Vic Flicks will make for an excellent date night.

Less than 10 minutes drive along Bells Line of Road towards Lithgow you will find Pierces Pass and Mount Banks picnic areas. From here there are walks to some of the most spectacular panoramic views in the whole of the Blue Mountains National Park. Blackheath which features spectacular lookouts is 30 minutes down the road and it’s not too much further to Katoomba if you want to see The Three Sisters and explore the southern part of the Blue Mountains.

For the more serious adventurers, find yourself scaling the nearby 200 metre sandstone cliffs on a multi-pitch climb or take a tour down world-renowned canyons. One of the world's most spectacular cave formations are located just over an hour away at Jenolan if you fancy some spelunking. Whatever you prefer you’re bound to find something for you.

If you really need to slow down and unwind though, why not simply spend the night in and enjoy the space this cottage has to offer. Relax by making a hearty homemade meal in the fully equipped kitchen, read a book or play some games by the fire before retiring to a long bath and a comfy bed for some deep peaceful sleep.

Peaceful hideaway

  • 4 of 5

Very comfortable cottage in a lovely quiet place. The first morning we woke to an array of birds in the garden, rainbow lorikeets, bowerbirds and a lyrebird! Amazing! The kitchen is well equipped, beds super comfortable, and the fireplace in the lounge room kept us cosy. Thanks for a lovely stay.
