Self-catering unit, v near Silver Sands, ideal for kiters, windsurfers & surfers

The town-house is located in a quiet up-market neighbourhood on the south coast of beautiful Barbados. The master bedroom is air-conditioned and has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The other bedroom has two single beds and en-suite bathroom. Both bedrooms and the living/dining room have ceiling fans. The apartment can sleep a maximum of 4 adults comfortably.

The town-house is fully furnished with china, cutlery, linens and towels as well as fridge, 4 burner gas stove, washing-machine, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Cable TV and telephone with ADSL and WiFi are also provided. The town-house shares a private pool in the spacious gardens and maid service is provided once a week to change the linens and clean.

We strongly recommend renting a car as the bus service near the area is unreliable.

Just a short 5 minute drive to famous Oistins fish fry, 12 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to the night life of St. Lawrence Gap, Seashell is your holiday home away from home.

The rental includes a once weekly visit from the housekeeper to change the linens and do a general clean. If tenants wish the housekeeper to come more often, this can be negotiated at the tenants' expense. The unit is not really suitable for the elderly or infirm by reason of the staircase. However, since the master bedroom is downstairs, elderly folk may comfortably stay in them as long as there is no need to go upstairs to the second bedroom and bathroom. The bath soap, laundry soap, paper towels and toilet paper provided are enough to cover a few days rental. Since the apartment is self-catered, tenants are expected to provide their own when the existing supply runs out.

Wonderful property, very comfortable and ideal location for us.

We had a fabulous time relaxing at Sea shell and loved it so much we are planning to return later this year. Communication with Debbie before arrival was great, she even did a video to help with driving instructions, that was excellent and it wasnt long until we arrived and unpacked! We would recommend a car to get around. The beach a couple of minutes drive at Maxwell is great for swimming and sunbathing. We used the main shop in Oistins as well as a couple of local shops. We enjoyed drinks in the nearby surfers bar and chicken ritas! The property had everything we needed and the pool and gardens were wonderful and very well maintained. My favourite days were relaxing at the pool then heading to the beach later in the day, finishing with sundowners at the surf bar. There are a number of good restaurants within easy driving distance. Thank you Debbie and Jimmy for a great holiday and we look forward to returning in November.

Perfect family base for a relaxing, independent holiday

We (2 adults, a 4 and a 2yr old) had a great time at Debbie and Jimmy's. They are fab hosts - nothing is too much bother (Debbie took us to the supermarket when we arrived as our hire car wasn't due until the next day, Jimmy took my husband to pick up a surfboard, loads of handy hints and tips on what to do, where to eat etc). The house is great - lovely and airy (the breeze is so great, meant we didn't use the aircon once) and has everything you need for an independent holiday. Every thing was clean and fresh. The pool was lovely and clean and my kids loved it. You can see the sea from your porch and we often watched the kitesurfers whizz by. You need a car as it's a good 30min walk into Oistins but you can get to the nearest beach (it has a lovely bar/restaurant - Surfer's Bay) in about 5 mins walking. With young kids, we spent most of our beach time at the nearby Entreprise/Miami beach (3 mins in the car) as it has a shady area (lots of trees) and a sheltered cove that meant they could swim more easily.

We really hope to be able to come back soon!

We had an absolutely AMAZING time at the Seashell apartment.

Seashell is in a quiet residential area and is extremely safe. Just what we were looking for…. we hired a car for the week as there aren’t any buses around this area, the apartment has everything you need both inside and out and there's a gentle breeze around so It never gets too hot. The pool was lovely and very clean and we used it a lot.

From the time we arrived Debbie and Jimmy made us feel at home and they went out of their way to answer any questions we had and to give recommendations for restaurants, places to visit etc. nothing was too much trouble for them.

The Apartment is 10 minutes from Oistins (great on friday’s for Fish fry night) and 5 mins from Miami Beach. It’s also easy to find other quiet beaches nearby.

I would HIGHLY recommend Seashell’s apartment as a place to stay.

We can’t wait to go back again next year.

It was everything we expected and MUCH, MUCH more.

Best part of the island

Just got back from 8 nights at Debbie's beautiful townhouse. Our family of 4 with two university aged sons had a perfect stay in Atlantic Shores. This was a pilgrimage for us as we had lived on the island many years prior, when our children where young. We selected this house as it was only 2 blocks from our old house. We loved the area this time as much as we loved it so many years ago. Atlantic Shores is quiet, friendly and has the best breeze - no need for artificial temperature. It is close to the airport and only minutes away from other South Coast amenities, beautiful beaches and easy access to the main highways on the island to allow easy exploring. We had many dinners (not on Friday as it is nuts) at Uncle George's at the Oistins Market. Fresh fish every night for dinner with a rum punch or a Banks- the perfect combination. Debbie is the perfect hostess, we felt really welcome and most importantly, she made us feel like we were home. Once a Bajan, always a Bajan and this house made us feel like locals again.

Fabulous February 2010

My husband & I spent 4 glorious weeks at this apartment. The location was ideal to explore the coast line of Barbados. The apartment was in a quiet neighbourhood & the outside space was exceptional with the pool & gardens. We felt the whole area was safe & secure.We were able to eat outside on the balcony & enjoyed the privacy.The weather was wonderful & with the breeze we did not need to use the air conditioning.

Debbie & her husband were very welcoming & their local knowledge would be very helpful to future visitors. There is plenty to do in Barbados but this particular spot would be ideal for anyone interested in surfing or water sports, all within walking distance.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking for holiday accomodation - great place to stay & the pool was fantastic in the morning,afternoon or evening.

The apt. is in a breezy location on the southern tip of Barbados. It is very near to Brian Talma's De Action Shop for rentals and lessons and convenient for all kite-surfers, windsurfers, surfers and boogie boarders. Barbados Golf Club is a 10 minute drive away. Famous 'Chicken Rita' Bajan style rum shop is just up the hill and the Oistins town fish fry is a five minute drive away. Oistins has two gas stations, a bank, supermarket, post office, library and Police Station in addition to other shops and restaurants. 15 minutes by car from St. Lawrence Gap and all its nightlife, restaurants and bars, and 25 minutes from Bridgetown with great duty free shopping.

Other Activities: kitesurfing, boogie-boarding, SUP Paddle Boarding

Golf: The Barbados Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course and is a 10 minute drive away.
