Quaint self contained cottage in Warrandyte, attached to a working art studio. One bedroom (Hand carved Mango Wood Lotus bed) with 2 sofa beds in the lounge, 1 Private bathroom. Walking distance to Warrandyte Village (Riverfront monthly makers market), Shops, cafes & restaurants. Under cover car park. Breakfast basket provisions provided. Gourmet teas & coffee. Bush setting occasionally with kangaroos in the garden. Hand made soaps & we will leave out a soap making project to make & take home.
You have the option to meet and chat with the artist or have privacy, whilst the cottage is small, it contains all the basics and the studio is light filled and interesting and you are welcome to have a cuppa or take your breakfast in either the studio or the cottage. We kindly ask you to be respectful of the creations and works in the studio, however you are most welcome to browse (maybe even purchase some gifts). We can organise for you to make some soaps, We can organise an art box left for older children and Board games.
We operate a college of Natural Therapies and you may join in a Qi Gong class or natural healing session at our nearby showroom (different location in Warrandyte). We also run soap art workshops at various times. Your hosts will be happy to provide advice on many shops, cafes, restaurants and local wineries. You are at the gateway to the Yarra Valley with many lovely events, including hot air ballooning, Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, Wineries. We can organise some treats to be on hand if you are celebrating and may have discount vouchers and offers for local places.
Your hosts: Lesley and Daryll are world travellers, authors, lecturers, artists and travel the world in training seminars. Lesley grew up underground in Coober Pedy, then lived in Milan, Bali and Africa. She is the author of 13 published books, has had over 140 manuscripts published, Australian ambassador for AliBaba/Aliexpress, Gemmologist, Founder of the Crystal Light Balancing Colour Healing system taught worldwide and a professional eBay trainer. She has nearly 1 million readers on WeekendNotes Lesley is the original director of Renascent College wellness centre (writing many of the training manuals and correspondence courses), the driving creative force behind Renascent Bath & Body, an Exhibited Artist, runs spiritual journeys of the world and has ridden motorbikes around much of the world. Daryll is a world renowned musician, energetic healer, Reiki Master, Qi Gong Healer and has worked in hospitals in China and taken students to live and study Qi Gong in Hainan China. There are some fun photos of their adventures on some of the walls.
Warrandyte is one of the first places they discovered Gold in Victoria. It is a quaint village now filled with cafes, restaurants shop and art galleries. It is well loved for the Warrandyte Bakery and lolly shop and set on the peaceful riverfront. Good walking tracks and on the first Saturday morning of the month the local and lively riverfront markets, where locals fill up with their dogs and baskets full of locally produced goodies.
Public transport exists by bus to Eltham and Ringwood (trains to the city from both these locations) although your own car may assist.
