Comfortable, plenty of space, beautiful landscape

  • 4 of 5

We loved the two-story living room with plentiful comfortable seating, fireplace, big deck, cozy loft for kids, and kitchen with all the required tools (hard to find in a rental). While the place could use a coat of paint and a deep clean of kitchen drawers etc, everything worked and we had a great week. The clubhouse is a two minute walk away. Our only complaint was that the flight of steps was full of ice and snow upon our arrival, but we contacted the housekeeper and the owner, who both acted quickly to address our concerns. I would happily come here again.

Great rental! Quick walk to the community center.

  • 4 of 5

The property location was perfect. It was a 2 minute walk to the community center where the kids went swimming in the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. We were also able to ice skate behind the center which was great! The house had more than enough room for the 6 adults and 2 kids that we had. The kids slept upstairs in the loft, and all of the adults were downstairs in the 3 bedrooms. The only issue we had was the the house got way too smokey when the fireplace was going. Don't know if it just needs a good cleaning, but we had to put it out. We had a great time! Thank You

Location isn't everything

  • 3 of 5

While the house is in the very best location for using the Waterville Estates recreation center it is somewhat dated and it needs a deep cleaning which obviously can't be done when it is rented constantly and there is a four hour period between check out and a new renter checking in. Beds need to be made upon arrival. Linens were in a locked closet that I had to call the owner to get the combination for. Iron framed bunk beds are difficult to reach and put the sheets on. There were not enough towels for our party of eight and they were almost threadbare and too small. Tub was filling up when we took showers due to a drain blockage. We bought a tool to clean it out and it worked fine after that. One of the bedroom TV sets had no signal which we were unable to correct. There is a computer for guests to use which we could not connect to the internet using their instructions. We brought our own computer but a security code was needed which had not been provided. However being somewhat knowledgeable I knew it could be found on the bottom of the modem. The kitchen was equipped but the toaster oven was very old and slow to heat up. The sofa had a slip cover that was awkward to keep in place and was situated below the the kitchen breakfast bar. We hit our heads a couple of times sitting back on it before we knew we realized to had to be careful. We did use the gas grill once and it worked fine. The ladder stair to the loft is a bit hazardous for grownups but the kids loved it. The ceiling fan up there is too close to the upper bunk and hit can it someone if you don't watch out for it. I don't mean to be too negative so If you're not too fussy this place is okay and we did have fun the week we were there.

Great location, clean and has everything you need!

  • 4 of 5

I took my grandchildren up for a ski trip. The house was great and conviently located next to the recreational center. We ski at Waterville valley and it was also close. The only recommendation would be that the bathroom s need updating but were functional.

Overall great property.

Great location, reasonably priced home.

  • 4 of 5

The house is located just across the street from the community center. There are a lot of activities available to keep everyone in the family occupied, including tennis, swimming, volley ball and hiking trails. The location is also fairly close to other New Hampshire attractions. Two of the televisions had Netflix available, so the kids were entertained while we were in the house. The price for the house was very fair, but I'd recommend that the owner spruce things up a little bit. The bathrooms were a bit run down and the lower level bathroom could use some paint. The cleaning crew may also want to be a bit more thorough. There were numerous dead bugs stuck in the stove exhaust fan and the oven pans in the drawer under the oven were completely covered in grease.
