We take pride in our unique large home and surroundings. The house is continually updated. We attend to every detail and supervision of cleanliness and styling. We live on the property and so, of course, treat it with extra loving care. We were drawn to the unique waterfront property with the southern feeling and privacy, with location, location, location. The waterfront private dock combined with beaches and downtown make this a perfect spot. ** It is very important to us that you are aware that we live in a full and private apartment attached to this house and have been here over 20 years. We live on this unique property in a private and separate apartment with a private entrance. We like our privacy, and we like to give you privacy. We love renting the house and we appreciate it if you choose this rental. We want you to be comfortable and we want to earn your 5 star review. **

Only 3 miles into Charleston just over the bridge ! This house is super convenient to Charleston and great restaurants. And the beach of Sullivan's Island is just 6 miles down the road. Truly a "perfect location". Gorgeous surroundings plus the dock. Aside from the private property peninsula, this property is encircled by water and marsh, and has water views of the creeks, the rivers, and the marshes. The water views and the tidal changes really make this property spectacular. It is all about the fabulous waterfront location, the ebb and flow of the tides, the natural wildlife, and the privacy, combined with a comfortable savvy home. What a way to enjoy Historic Charleston, the Beaches and the marshes! The location can't be beat, as is evidenced by the mega multi million dollar homes in the area.

Perfect Charleston House
This is either the fourth or fifth time we have stayed at the Bixler's and our experience is always over the top. We love the house - beautifully furnished, but comfortable with a gourmet kitchen. It's situated in a quiet neighborhood, just 15 minutes (at most) from downtown Charleston and it has beautiful marsh views. We'll be coming back!
Perfect Charleston Home!
This is the third time we have stayed at The Big Chill House - it's just the perfect place to relax. Beautiful, clean, wonderful owners and views of the water. We're coming back again in February!

Absolutely loved the property and location. The only issue is that the property manager lives on the premises (adjoining house) and was intimidating by making his presence known and asking questions throughout our stay.
We are pleased that you loved this property and enjoyed it’s excellent location. When extra cars arrive, when corn hole games are set up, and when the yard fills with lots of people, we do ask for an update. We generally attempt to be invisible to guests, and we are sorry that you felt intruded upon by George’s questions. This listing specifies– “No Parties”. With all the rental issues in the news these days, we are understandably cautious. Our goal is to provide constant exceptional service and a great house. We strive to exceed guest expectations, to achieve 5 star reviews, and to ensure privacy. We do understand that hosting a daughter’s destination wedding in Charleston can be a stressful time for the Mother of the Bride.
