Good for sleeping only
Property good if you just needed one night to sleep only. It is only the back three bedrooms on the owners house. Seperate bathroom which is good. The kitchenette is an outdoor sink connected to their carport. The deck is shared with the owner and not yours to solely use. The outdoor area was quite dirty but inside the house was very clean and comfortable but no living area inside. Outdoor fireplace and view was lovely. Owner quick to reply to emails.
Thank you for your feedback, which we greatly value so we can improve our service for future bookings.
We are sorry that we did not meet all your expectations and thank you for some of the positive comments.
However, we do not agree with your statement that the kitchenette consists 'only of a sink' which is really not the case. Lhena, showed your husband the kitchenette which had a 2 plate electric stove, 2 burner gas stove, fridge, kettle etc and I mentioned if you need any other equipment or any assistant to please let us know as we are more than happy to assist with any other kitchen equipment or utensils.
As far as I can remember you did not ask for anything else hence we thought you are quite happy with the set up.
Please note that we are blowing and cleaning daily the veranda and kitchenette area and the carports with a powerful electric blower.
We are a Farmstay Home and have to live with nature that affects our open guest areas.
We cannot avoid that wind and rain blows leaves and grass from the hay bail gardening into our open areas.
I trust this is of assistance to you and again we are sorry that we have not met your expectations this time but would appreciate that you adjust your comments in line with the above stated facts presented to you.
Thank you for you kind cooperation in this matter.
With kind regards
Manfred and Lhena
Rooms with a view, suits a family best
Near the Hinze Dam this beautiful property faces east over the valley and the hidden Nerang River. Our hosts welcomed us warmly and encouraged us to enjoy the delights of their garden and the various features of their property. The deck complete with outdoor fire place, comfortable lounge and dining seating while a share space was made available for us to enjoy at any time.
The bedrooms were attractively presented and comfortable in size. There has been attention to detail with the individualised decor in each room also representing a fusion of the cultural backgrounds of the hosts. Some minor cleaning oversight associated with overhead spider webs was noted. Generally the bedding was adequate however on one particularly cold night availability of extra blankets would have been helpful. A free-standing heater comfortably warmed the entire bedroom wing.
External access was available from two of the three bedrooms which did create some difficulty for the third adult guest who had to walk through an occupied bedroom to get outside. This accomodation arrangement would probably suit families better than friends who may feel a little uncomfortable about invading anothers privacy.
The large bathroom and seperate toilet worked well for our group of 4 guests. A couple of minor maintenance issues in the toilet were brought to the hosts attention on our departure.
The outdoor kitchen was conveniently located close to the deck area. Cooking, crockery, cutlery and clean-up facilities were complete and available but relatively
rudimentary. The addition of some larger mugs and a toaster, rather than a counter top grill/oven would be a plus.
Manfred and his wife made us very welcome and shared their obvious love of the beautiful place in which they live. They kindly adapted to suit our comings and goings over a busy weekend in our lives. We appreciated their preparedness to share their lives, their home and their produce with us! Many thanks, Ingrid.

We had a great time in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Very quiet and peaceful place
Enjoyed the experience gathering around the open fire at night time. Would go back anytime. Great value for money. Lots of national parks close by. Cheers
We unfortunately my boys and I had a very rushed stay with Manfred. All in all comfy and clean in a lovely setting.
