Peaceful, cosy cottage. Log fire was great and all set up ready to be lit when we arrived. Dogs could explore the enclosed backyard while we sat on the little deck and looked out to the trees. There is a forest across the road which has a nice walking trail (just remember to keep track of where you walk, we went straight ahead then turned around and came back again. It is not a signed trail so be careful not to get lost).
Kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials. Fresh lemons were in a bowl in the kitchen and their son popped past and gave us some fresh eggs as the chickens had laid a lot that day. There are board games, puzzles and a few DVDs to keep you entertained. There is no TV connection and limited signal which is great when you are wanting to switch off and get away from every day life. Old decor but typical country cottage. The Donnybrook Hotel is about a 25min drive and they allow dogs in the beer garden as long as they are on lead.
This is a nice getaway to the country when you just want to relax and spend some quality time with your partner, family and/or dogs.
We found the issue with the Television...it was on AV1 and NOT TV. There are all the free to air channels available with good reception.
Very dog friendly!
This was a pleasant getaway....close enough to modern amenities but hidden away from the craziness of city life.
