Tucked away on 110 acres of stunning Catskill Mountain landscape, this charming home awaits any family looking for a mountain getaway. A beautiful and private spring-fed pond lies directly on the property where you can take the row boat out to fish, jump right in for a swim, or ice skate during the winter. Ease your ski-sore muscles in the outdoor hot tub by the gas-barbecue, wood stove, and fire pit. Let the naturalist in you come out as you explore the creek that borders the property or hike one of the several trails, all of which are private and lead straight back to the main property.
Must be 25 years of age to rent this property.
Also with children's tree house next to home. New additions to the property include: newly renovated wrap around patio, air conditioning, expanded hot tub area, new barbeque area
Tranquility! The property was so quiet and a great place to stay when looking to leave the stress and troubles of the city life behind!
THe property was as described. The pictures do not do it justice. Our party of eight were quite comfortable. We made great use of the pond, kayak, rowboat, hot tub, fire pit, I could go on and on. The dogs were in heaven, wandering the property. Some toured winery, went antiquing, golf course nearby. Fantastic experience , great cabin, look forward to returning next year!
What a wonderful house for a special family birthday party. It had everything we needed from a lovely kitchen, plenty of seating for all, a hot tub to use even on the very cold nights, a fire pit, an outdoor grill.....and plenty of space for our three families and children. The kids loved running and playing soccer in the large field. It was too cold to use the boats on the lake....but it looked great. Our family enjoyed the hiking trails and the stream right by the house. The views from the house and the porches that surround it are magnificent. It was the perfect weekend to see the trees turn color. And even when it snowed...and rained...which is sometimes did...the house was cozy and warm with plenty of room for lots of people to have their own space. The beds were very comfortable....everyone said so. The decoration of the house is just as it appeared in the picture. Very inviting. The only thing that made up a bit crazy was the lack of phone service in that area and the very slow...somewhat lacking internet, as we are all business people and I am afraid attached to our electronics. Also...the driveway is a bit hard to find....especially in the dark. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It was near ski resorts and small villages. But this time of year was perfect for driving and leaf peeping. We would come here again in a heartbeat.
I almost don't know where to begin! The beautiful, oversized log cabin has everything you will ever need for a large family. The grounds are amazing with fruit trees and pathways winding through the woods. There is not one, but "two" fire pits. One overlooks the picturesque pond and the other is a no joke cooking pit complete with giant tripod. Between that and the stainless steel grill, it's heaven for any BBQ masters out there. The kids had an amazing time and they want to go back already (me too). There is a cool tree house, games, and plenty of room for them to run. The hot tub is great for the adults once the kids go down. If you can pry yourself away from this place, there are tons of things to do in the area. Restaurants, antique hunting, adventure parks, mini golf... you name it! Not to mention sledding, skiing, and ice skating in the Winter. With all these great qualities, the best one is the owners. We had a very unexpected death in our family shortly before our booking. It was very difficult and we thought we were going to lose most of our time at the cabin. Nick was very sympathetic and went out of his way to extend our check out date (without disrupting any other renters). He honestly cared and was the only source of good news in weeks full of bad. Please respect this beautiful place if you decide to rent it. The owners are great people.
Had an amazing trip with our group of 10 adults and four children and our dog. Amazing property; private; space for everyone and not enough time to enjoy it all. Swimming in the pond: fishing on the stream;walking through the trails or playing volleyball on the grass!!! Amazing Amazing; no one wanted to leave and next time we will stay more than two nights!!Nick was great and even let us stay past checkout to enjoy our final cookout!!!Thanks again and hope to visit soon.....
My family and friends rented this house for the weekend, when we arrived to the property we all were amazed by the landscapes and stunning views that the house offer. The house is gorgeous inside and outside. The house is so specious and very clean the patio goes around the entire house, you can just sit and enjoy the stunning views . We enjoyed fishing on the pond, canoeing, kayaking the fire pits and the amazing Jacuzzi. Honestly the pictures don't do this property justice it's a dream house. we highly recommend this house! we differently will come back to the Charming Log cabin soon.
PS: My dog Lucas was the happiest dog on earth running around the property! :)
Hands down the best 5 Star house we 've stayed so far.
