Incredible

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely fell in love with the cabin. It was if we had never left home, everything we needed was there and so much more. The solitude and magnificent views were exactly what we were looking for. The home itself was beautiful with every member of our party pausing to look back and take photographs of the cabin as they reluctantly left to return to their daily lives. Simply put, the experience was wonderful .

Huge and scenic property, spacious and comfortable cottage with all amenities

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for a long weekend in May and we loved it. We were 8 adults and 6 kids (ages 2-6) and it was spacious enough to accommodate all of us. Kids loved running around the lawns, going in the boat on the pond, eating marshmallows by the bonfire, playing in the river stream that borders the property, and going up to the tree-house. Adults loved cooking in a well-equipped kitchen, enjoying meals and drinks on the picnic tables, hot-tubs, and decent sleeping beds. We went hiking to Kaaterskills Falls, which are 30 minutes away by car. There are some basic stores in the town near by but you might want to go to a supermarket on your way here and pile up for the stay as there's a big fridge / freezer. Nick and Pat are responsive owners/hosts (and so is Greg, the manager). We had everything we needed or had discussed before renting. Thank you.

Secluded Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

THe property was as described. The pictures do not do it justice. Our party of eight were quite comfortable. We made great use of the pond, kayak, rowboat, hot tub, fire pit, I could go on and on. The dogs were in heaven, wandering the property. Some toured winery, went antiquing, golf course nearby. Fantastic experience , great cabin, look forward to returning next year!

Beautiful cabin with amazing views!

  • 4 of 5

What a wonderful house for a special family birthday party. It had everything we needed from a lovely kitchen, plenty of seating for all, a hot tub to use even on the very cold nights, a fire pit, an outdoor grill.....and plenty of space for our three families and children. The kids loved running and playing soccer in the large field. It was too cold to use the boats on the lake....but it looked great. Our family enjoyed the hiking trails and the stream right by the house. The views from the house and the porches that surround it are magnificent. It was the perfect weekend to see the trees turn color. And even when it snowed...and rained...which is sometimes did...the house was cozy and warm with plenty of room for lots of people to have their own space. The beds were very comfortable....everyone said so. The decoration of the house is just as it appeared in the picture. Very inviting. The only thing that made up a bit crazy was the lack of phone service in that area and the very slow...somewhat lacking internet, as we are all business people and I am afraid attached to our electronics. Also...the driveway is a bit hard to find....especially in the dark. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It was near ski resorts and small villages. But this time of year was perfect for driving and leaf peeping. We would come here again in a heartbeat.

This rental gets five stars... the owners get ten!

  • 5 of 5

I almost don't know where to begin! The beautiful, oversized log cabin has everything you will ever need for a large family. The grounds are amazing with fruit trees and pathways winding through the woods. There is not one, but "two" fire pits. One overlooks the picturesque pond and the other is a no joke cooking pit complete with giant tripod. Between that and the stainless steel grill, it's heaven for any BBQ masters out there. The kids had an amazing time and they want to go back already (me too). There is a cool tree house, games, and plenty of room for them to run. The hot tub is great for the adults once the kids go down. If you can pry yourself away from this place, there are tons of things to do in the area. Restaurants, antique hunting, adventure parks, mini golf... you name it! Not to mention sledding, skiing, and ice skating in the Winter. With all these great qualities, the best one is the owners. We had a very unexpected death in our family shortly before our booking. It was very difficult and we thought we were going to lose most of our time at the cabin. Nick was very sympathetic and went out of his way to extend our check out date (without disrupting any other renters). He honestly cared and was the only source of good news in weeks full of bad. Please respect this beautiful place if you decide to rent it. The owners are great people.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words! What a fabulous review! We are thrilled you had a wonderful time. As for altering the schedule, it was the least I can do. Certain circumstances need to be handled differently and I'm glad we were able to make it all work out. My condolences again for your loss and we looking forward to hearing from you again in the future! All the best, Nick
