About this property

Clearhills-charming, private cottage

Clearhills

Clearhills (Darradup) is a beautiful, coffey rock cottage in a tranquil location. Nestled in the middle of the state forest it's the perfect, secluded get-away for a couple, four friends or a family. You can explore the forest which is teeming with birdlife and wildlife, meet our resident possums and watch the kangaroos and their joeys. During the day you can tour attractions, beaches, caves and wineries. It is so incredibly private and secluded, if you wanted to spend the day on the day-bed reading and slipping into a peaceful siesta it's possible. At night you can snuggle up in front of the open fireplace and toast marshmallows. It is truly magical, showcasing the most magnificent night sky. I doubt that you will ever see as many stars in the sky on a clear night. We have a minimum 3 night stay, however, for an additional fee a two-night stay can be arranged by messaging Penni. Clearhills is a truly unique experience and if you book, we will do our best to ensure it is an enjoyable stay.

The Space
This newly renovated house is in a unique location. We have put all the modern comforts into this house, including beds that guests often comment are the most comfortable they have ever slept in. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and encourage guests to contact me (Penni) immediately if there is ever an issue. When I personally book accommodation I above all else expect cleanliness and I would like guests open the door after their drive and feel relaxed and happy. It offers total peace and privacy, but also is only an hours drive or less from many of the southwest's attractions and beautiful coastal towns.
It is conveniently central to EVERYTHING.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole house and be able to roam around the 67 acres by foot.

Interaction with Guests
Guests will access the keys in a designated spot as we do not reside at the property.

Other things to Note
The closest restaurants and food shops are in the town of Nannup. Nannup has a small supermarket. It is best to bring food for your stay. Bunbury has an incredible Farmers Market which is on the way form Perth to Nannup (only 1 hour from Nannup)

Heavenly
Five stars. Where do I start? We are 2 couples who have been going to the South West twice a year for over 10 years. We have stayed in a lot of places and unfortunately they quite often leave a lot to be desired. This has everything and is our favourite. Our 4 nights was not long enough. Penni has provided everything for a very comfortable stay. Comfy lounge furniture for us all to relax and fall asleep in the evenings. Fantastic inglenook fireplace and plenty of wood. Comfy beds, pillows and linen. Strong hot showers and enough towel rails. Fully equipped kitchen. Misty mornings on the deck with breakfast. Great, comfortable outdoor furniture. It is a true home from home and so peaceful and secluded. Only a 20 minute drive from Nannup. Great meals and atmosphere at the Brewing Company and a nice lunch at Pickle and O. Coming back to the cottage on Cundinup Road we found a real treat just by chance. Out n about egg farm. Stop on the roadside and the free range chickens run to the fence to meet you, and you can buy the fresh eggs at the honour system shed there. There are over a dozen caravans dotted around and this is where the girls sleep! The children will love it! Lastly the possums come out at night and that is a real treat to feed them, they are so cute. We loved, loved this place and will definitely be back.
