This 3 bed 2 bath en-suite fully air conditioned luxury spacious apartment is on the 3rd floor of a modern, quiet and secure complex with superb views over Los Olivos golf course to the Mijas moutains. It is located only 25 mins drive from Malaga airport between the bustling holiday resort of Fuengirola and the picturesque village of Mijas and is ideally suited for beach , family and golfing holidays. It is in a suburb location (close to the Hotel Tamisa) with an excellent choice of golf courses very close by , a 5 - 10 drive from some of the most popular beaches on the Costa del Sol ( Royal, La Cala, Cabopino and Fuengirola) and many shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach by foot or by car.

The accommodation offers a very spacious open plan living/dining area with modern furnishings including dining table with seating for 6, leather sofas, brand new ( June 2015) 40" flat screen TV, a large fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, utility/storage room and 3 bedrooms also with plenty of storage space. (Bed 1 - queen bed , Bed 2 - twin beds with pullout bed, bed 3 - twin beds) There is a second flat screen TV and DVD player in bed 3 for DVD's only to keep the children entertained as needed. There is secure underground parking and lifts from the car park to all floors. The large balcony which can be accessed from both the lounge and the master bedroom has the sun in the morning and is great for watching the sunrise over the mountains and enjoying breakfast in the sun. There is a table and 4 chairs and 2 reclining chairs on the balcony and sunbeds with sunshades attached are also provided for use around the pool. Other extras include highchair, travel cot, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, beach towels/bath towels, TV plus IPTV with UK channels, Free wireless broadband internet.

This quiet and relaxing complex has extensive , well maintained, mature gardens including 2 large pools and 2 children pools, 2 tennis courts and 2 children play areas. On site facilities include supermarket ( with fresh bread/pastries every morning), bar, hairdressers and laundrette. Right next to the complex is a lovely barbecue area with a bar, and a spanish cafe restaurant.

The location is superb only 25 minutes from Malaga airport between the bustling holiday resort of Fuengirola and the beautiful hillside village of Mijas. There is an excellent choice of golf courses , two of which, Los Olivos and Los Lagos, are only 1KM away and are recognised as 2 of the most popular on the Costa del Sol, some of the best beaches in the area ( Royal, La Cala and Cabopino are our favourite ) and a fantastic choice of picturesque marinas (Puerto Cabopino, Puerto Banus, Marbella an Fuengirola ) only a short drive away. There are so many attractions for you and your family to enjoy, the very popular Parque Aquatico Mijas Waterpark, Majan Monkey ,the chocolate factory in Mijas ( always a favourite with children and adults alike) Fuengirola Zoo, Selwo Marino in Benalmadena, Selwo Wildlife Park in Estepona, Tivoli World in Benalmadena, Crocodile Park in Torremolinos to name a few. A day out in the beautiful hillside village of Mijas is always a must famous for its whitewashed buildings, beautiful views and donkey rides. For the active, whilst there are 2 paddle tennis courts on the complex , a new tennis centre has opened only 1km away (raquetasdemijas.com) For those of you who want to eat out on an evening there is an endless choice of restaurants and bars only a short drive or taxi ride away , our favourites being Da Bruno, Valparaiso, Casa Roberto in Fuengirola, and Hermosa in Puerto Cabopino . If you want to stay closer to the apartment there is a beautiful picnic area next to the complex, a bar on the complex and several bars and restaurants within a 10 - 15 min walk . These include a great Indian restaurant/takeaway, Swaghat and Venta La Morena a Spanish restaurant which is very popular with locals and tourists alike.

For those of you who are golf enthusiasts: Our apartment in Hacienda de Mijas Golf is located right in the heart of the Costa Del Sol Golf Valley with 2 courses designed by Robert Trent Jones just metres away. The balcony overlooks one of them. There are another 10 courses just 15 mins by car We are also ideally located for all the famous golf events eg. Vallderama most of which are within 1 hour from this location.

And finally if you want to ski in the winter months but don't want to stay in a ski resort the Sierra Nevada ski area is only 2 hours away . Those family members who don't ski can relax in the winter sun whilst the skiers in the family enjoy a days skiing and you can all have dinner together in the evening.

We are two families from Nottingham, England who purchased this lovely apartment in 2008. We have been coming to this area for over 20 years and have enjoyed many family holidays in the area and latterly in the apartment. What makes this apartment unique

We love this because of its location close to golf and the hills , very peaceful and quiet yet only 10 mins from so many lovely beaches . Very safe/secure and a place where we knew we could always relax - a second home for all the family.

In a word...bootiful !!!

We spent two weeks at the apartment with a party of 6. We absolutely had a great time and a special thanks needs to go Mr Brian who helped us out in any way he possibly could. The kids loved his bar at the end of the street and so did our wallet...can't get great drinks any cheaper then at Mon2Sun !!! The apartment was splendid (despite the busy road) and very clean, like the garden and pool area. Great value for money this apartment and we will visit again for sure.

Perfect holiday destination

We'd stayed at La Hacienda before twice, but not in Carmel and Debbie's apartment. This meant we weren't surprised by the immaculately-maintained complex with its spotlessly-clean paths and lawns, and beautiful clear blue pools. The complex itself, although quite large, has never felt crowded - a local told me that quite a lot of Spanish people live there, and actually go away in the summer (maybe to somewhere cold and rainy for a break from the sun...?!?)

The apartment itself was nicer than the one we stayed in before. The kitchen was much bigger and the view from the balcony (albeit overlooking a fairly busy road) was of the mountains, whereas previously we'd overlooked the bins! Like the complex, the apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, well-furnished and comfortable. The aircon is a life saver and cools the whole apartment very quickly, and the underground car park means the car is kept nice and cool. The location is ideal for the airport and beaches, of which there are many - we found a lovely little one that was practically empty, and this was mid-July. Debbie and Brian were both very helpful, and Brian's gin measures in his bar Mon2Sun (just downstairs from the apartment) are a very happy memory! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone, and hope to go back again. Thanks Debbie!

Spotless, well equipped, spacious apartment

We were a group of 4 adult golfers, 3 men and 1 female, we had a great holiday, the temperature was slightly higher than usual for early June and the complex was not at all busy, when we sunbathed by the pool in the afternoon there were very few people around, if any.

We all thought that the apartment was lovely, it was spotless, well equipped, spacious and in a very convenient location, it was a nice touch for the beach towels to be provided, the downstairs cupboard was an added bonus to store the golf clubs in, Brian, the contact in Spain, was very helpful and easy to deal with.

Although the apartment was not on the coast, it was in easy distance, we would recommend this apartment for any type of holiday, the journey to and from the Airport was quick and easy, although we had a car, with a supermarket on site selling all the essential items, a car would not be a necessity

The whole booking process with Debbie was easy and any questions answered promptly

Excellent Apartment!

We had a lovely stay in this very spacious and well equipped apartment. The owner Debbie was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The wifi and internet tv worked well and everything was very clean including the fridge and oven which has not always been the case in other places we have stayed. There were sunbeds, a cool bag and plenty of beach towels. The apartment does overlook a quite busy road but this did not detract too much from our enjoyment and I slept like a log. I would recommend a stay in this apartment.

DE MARAVILLAAAAAA

Hemos estado una semana entera en la semana santa,3 adultos y 3 niños y el apartamento genial muy amplio todo y muy limpio y funcionaba todo correctamente. Desde alli hemos ido a un monton de sitios a visitar y sin duda si volvemos a Mijas volvemos al mismo apartamento porque hemos estado de maravilla.

Muchisimas gracias a Debbie que la llamamos varias veces y siempre nos atendio muy amablemente y a Brian tb que nos atendio igual de bien.

Great holiday apartment

The apartment was exactly as described: modern, spacious and bright. Lovely view of the mountain from the balcony. The complex features swimming pools and kids pools which were really appreciated by our son. Booking/contact with the owners was quick and easy as was getting the keys and checking in. I recommend having your own car as there is not much within walking distance, however everything you need is just a short drive away.

Notes:
This accommodation is very spacious and comfortable. All towels and linens are provided and a mid week clean is an optional extra. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a hatch to the dining facility which again is modern and beautifully furnished. There is an outside utility facility with iron and ironing board and some games. With lift access this apartment is wheel chair friendly and on the third floor, corner apartment, it has neighbours only on one side. There are lovely views over the mountains and the local golf courses. We request that smokers do so only on the outside balcony.
